Yep, thanks cynmed , I forgot that bit; and thanks to Quil ’s explications and research, i’m Very Happy, with the extra gems every day, from NOT spending RL $ in this game anymore, and yes, like you, I don’t feel like I’m supporting a struggling new wee community game with spending RL$; so it’s all good😁
🤔 I wonder if THAT is why new BFS management made that at-first-glance odd decision, to give some rewards for tier 2 players, as you said, while the tier 1 whales and those who can afford to soothe completionist needs, use RL$ to buy, and therefore are considered by BFS not to need, daily gem rewards...
oh, and in other news; 3,count ‘em, THREE Embossed dragons IN A ROW from the Rift today: level 14 Frostfluff x level 14 lodestone ( thanks Cyn 😊) so, maybe BFS have improved the odds for the final few days? 🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨 and 🌻🌻🌴🌴🌻🌻 everyone
Finding myself agreeing 100% with all of the above ...am going to try to change my "frame of reference" in the hopes i can get back the fun & pleasure i used to experience w/this game!
No improve for me, since the summer event I wasn’t able to breed a single new dragon, whereas in all the previous events I bred at least one. So I’m trying to have fun but it’s hard; where is the pleasure when all you get is fails? At this pace my BEB will be very busy...😕 Anyway 🐨🐨🐨🐨 to everyone

Another missing piece this time - for the flower treasure deal, the $1.99 price is shown for 390 flowers - but the price is missing on all the others. I'm sure the dollars run the same across as on the gems - but just another lack of attention to detail. I don't know that it matters for me. I had to spend flowers for Hakahaka, so I'm down to 9600 before play today. I usually spend some money each event. For me it's no different than anything else I do for entertainment. But I'm beginning to question if this game is entertainment anymore. It has gone from being a challenge to being impossible. I'm going to learn that I don't have to have it all right this minute. Hope this is a whine. 🐨🐨🐨🐨 to everyone
edit - 2 more dragons, 2 more peds. a decoration and a habitat still to come

This is the 3rd event in a row where I haven’t been able to breed a single event dragon. As someone who has been playing and supporting BFS since the beginning, this is a huge disappointment. I’ve put in so much time into this game only to have them destroy all of the joy. Spending the amount of resources I have during this event to end up with nothing is NOT ok. They have done a great job at turning me off- I’m on the verge of walking away. It’s really a shame bc I love this group.
I got the same code...email sent. Would be lovely if they gifted one of the limitless for our troubles...
In 2 of my games, I did get the reward, so they’ve fixed it. It was twins, Leathery and Pyrite. In both games I had the dragon but not the twin, since I don’t collect twins in those games
Got the same code but left it alone until today so they could fix it. When I clicked on it in my gifts just now, it disappeared. If I go back to the Tidal Timekeeper, it shows a check mark on yesterday's gift and says it's already been opened. Seems I'm out yesterday's daily reward, although a couple of old twins isn't much of a loss I guess, if that's what it actually was.

Now I’m confused: I thought that when a dragon has a locked combo we couldn’t breed it with other dragons. And some valers bred a honuhonu without this locked combo... Has BFS changed the rules? 🤔
This rift has always been broken, and just breeding the final elements of a new dragon can get you that dragon. I tried it today on an alt account, hoping that plant+water would have less fails but all I got was seaweed and swamp. I'm sure they'll fix it someday, unless the rift is meant to have different rules.

Me too! Haven't been able to breed an event dragon for the last 4 events. Like kiwichris I decided to just enjoy what I have. My park doesn’t need to have everything. Besides, where would I put it? I like to think my park is unique as it is different than someone else's. I sort of support the game, maybe 10$ every few months but that is about it. I’m in the game only once a day except for events and then only enough times to collect the daily limit of event currency. Things became so difficult in DVW that I stopped playing it. I knew at some point they would make DV DVW. But it is what it is. I will play, enjoy what I can accomplish and not get upset by what I want but don’t have. Changing the subject, I have 4 wishes which I’m thinking of using one to get Chromacorn. I usually save them for islands just in case I don’t have the currency to buy islands. A year ago I would have never thought of using a wish to get a dragon. Times have changed.
So cross with BFS. If there’s one dragon that should be so easy to breed they almost give it to you, it’s the anniversary dragons. Been trying in all 4 slots since it was announced, and no sign of it. Nor any of the event dragons either. Not liking this commercially minded BFS, it’s taking all the fun away. Pass the whine.

Good point. You'd think they would want to make people to feel happy, excited, and thankful about the anniversary celebration instead of frustrated and ready to quit.

Here's an alternative to the hefty purchase - get one of them by breeding (my Humuhumu is up) and clone the other in the Coop using that.
At least, it's going to be less frustrating than similarly-timed fails. (If you get a 16:00 or an 18:00, you've got one of 'em).
Just spent close to 3000 gems between 2 parks attempting this with no luck at all! It’s crazy (both me and the breeding odds)!
Managed to breed an R-embossed in one park and a hunuhunu in my second park. Looking ahead to weeks of continuous electrum and bronze fails trying to co-op the embossed, I just used a wish for one.
Actual tears of frustration might have been shed.
Best of luck to those still trying in these last few hours!
Considering the accumulated frustration since the last eventd on one hand and the fact that this forum reflects the opinions of hundreds of gamers, i would suggest the folllowing: - make a poll about the elements of frustration amongs the players, what is upsetting us, the degree of frustration - make a poll about the years one has been playing the game Summarize all elements and then have the admin and modos send a mail to BFS in the name of all of us which are now at the verge of quitting and cut revenues. Any thoughts about this idea.
I didn't have a Lagoon dragon in the Rift, so I started by trying to breed that -- and just got a Humuhumu from Water Rift + Nectar in the Rift.
Wow. I was going to ask if anyone had had much luck cloning them, because they've done something weird this time: effectively they've ignored what came from the epic parent, and the resulting dragons are simple rares of water/plant and water/light. If you tried to clone one (say, with a corresponding elder), you'd have FAR fewer fails and much shorter ones. Though of course the odds may be even lower than normal. If you can get it just from having the right elements, though... 🤯
Thanks for this journeywoman! I finally got a honuhonu by breeding in the coop with a friends honuhonu and my elder water. A few hundred gems later I got a humuhumu in the coop using a friends and my elder light (or at least I have the right timer. I had tried my elder water first but had no luck. At least if you're spending gems, the fail times are shorter this way.
Gosh, I’ve done that and it always seems to happen to me with the Rift. What is it about the Rift?
Click breed Click sell Click breed Click sell and on and on and on, not getting anything useful and certainly not getting what you are breeding for. you can zone out, do your grocery list in your head or some such and all of a sudden wham, breed sell, there it goes something you wanted ...

Absolutely couldn't agree more!!! I finally used a wish to get Embossed after an endless stream of Bronze, Silver, Electrum, DR and Party fails and over 2000 gems in speed-ups to free my breeding spaces for yet another futile try. Where is the fun in that??? I've been playing since the beginning and also don't like the direction in which BFS is taking the game. Really been feeling like my days as a Valer are drawing to a rapid close.
Didn't see it mentioned anywhere (apologies if I missed it), but the 7th anniversary statue is now available for 1000 coins in Decorations.

So the five event dragons are the Hakahaka, Honuhonu, Humuhumu, Limulimu, and Manomano. Can any of these be cloned in the Co-Op at this point? I recall seeing a posting on Facebook saying that originally the Honuhonu and Humuhumu could not be cloned even in the Co-Op. I know folks could clone them when they were officially released, but wasn't sure if that limitation was put back in place now that they've expired.
As a related question, can any/every dragon (excluding the Legendary ones) be cloned in the Co-Op? I thought it used to be limited to the Epics only, but wasn't sure if that limitation was removed at some point.
