Thanks for the reply. I was leaning toward buying another Chromo and trying to get the ghostlies later. Maybe purchase the effies too.
I've yet to figure out exactly how to evolve the three dragons though, been trying too hard to actually acquire the pieces first. Now that I have them, what is the next step, assuming I purchase the Chromo? I still have 3 wishes as well.
Have all appropriate required effies in advance.
Example: how to convert Love to Wrath.
Tap on the Love dragon you wish to evolve. Bottom row of pop up window has an “EVOLVE!” Button next to the food button. Click on Evolve. A new pop up window will ask you to choose a dragon. If you agree, click on it, and your Love dragon has now been replaced with Wrath. Done.
Same goes for Bone to Porcelain, Chromo to Corrupt, Fire to Ghostly Fire, etc.
Cost is still 1000 candy. We put either the info or links to info in the OP of every event thread, so always worth checking there...

Uh oh...I think the time change has messed up the game. The Event Island is gone in my game! I can still earn candies and access the bazaar, but no more mini-games or the arena.
Update: The Event Island returned! So, whatever happened was at least a short-duration glitch.
I'm afraid I'm simply not doing this kind of work.
I'm not collecting decorations in colours or versions I can't even remember, let alone up to 10 of each meaningless type.
I'm not collecting a whole new ghostly dimension of dragons I wouldn't even keep if it were not for their being necessary in some quests or breeding combos.
I came into Dragonvale along with a group of graphic designers, artists and former art students enthused about its visuals. No longer the case.
I looked forward to playing DV as leisure. It's beginning to feel like a job.
So I guess it's simply a matter of time before I drop out.
I noticed that the games swapped again, and played enough dragon drop to get the pieces I "needed". I decided that if I ended up using my whole gem stash, that would be a certain sign to quit. It's super annoying that they are through gambling and some are so much rarer than others. For each time, I have many of 7 colors and one of each of 3 other colors. It will take a while to sell the extra 99 decorations!
Make that 100. Whitbee just showed up on the island as I finished counting the extras, and for the first time, he brought me a chest with a decoration. My orange porcelain line just got longer.
And now for my question:
Has anyone been able to breed a Corrupticorn? I tried to breed my Corrupticorn with my Chromacorn a few times but had no luck. I'm trying to decide if I buy a pedestal or keep breeding.

You can't breed the Corrupticorn with a Chromacorn, only with another Corrupticorn. The three new evolved dragons work that way, and only clone with same + same. I've managed to do each in the rift to get an egg using two.
I have saved 41835 candies, have acquired all 30 pieces needed, only have 1 Chromo after trying the entire game to create another.
I've managed to breed all the event limiteds.
I have 1 of the effigies and none of the new ghostly dragons.
What would you do at this point?
Any advice is appreciated.
If it's no too late, your best bet is to buy a second Chromacorn and breed the two together to get more - it's MUCH easier to get dupes with two. I kept going until I had enough for two Chromacorns, two Corrupticorns, and a Chromacorn egg. It only took me a day or two of rift breeding to get them.
I think I have a candy plan. So far I evolved 3 dragons + a second corrupticorn maxed out my Spooky Habs, bought the effigies and evolved 3 ghostlies. I think I will evolve a second Porcelain, Wrath and Fire and Earth ghosties. There really isn't anything else for me to buy other than Ghostly Peds, which I won't do. I wonder if I have to evolve these before reset today.... hmmmm.

My daily games don’t have a chest. A FEW times one popped up during the wheel for one spin but I didn’t get it. I’ only need the pink flame and can’t get it. I’ve bought so many chests and they give me duplicates. SO the ocd in me will need to be put to rest. This game has clearly taken a change for the worst.

Reset problems again here; emailed BFS again, according to google it’s 10.45 am on Monday in Colorado, it’s 6.45 am Tuesday here, so it can’t be a time change issue... Bother

Ok, simple questions: Now that the Event is over AND if we have the 3 Elemental Ghostly Dragons (Cold, Earth, Fire), is it still possible to breed the other Ghostlys? Are they limited? If so, when does the time limit expire? Thanks.
I think that the Ghostly Hybrids can still be breed because the hourglass is green in the Dragonarium. The count down timer in the Bizarre Bazaar says there is about 47 hours remaining. So my guess is that we can bred them at least until the count down timer runs out.

Need your opinion on how to spend my candy, DragonVale experts!
Im ending this game with only 23,148 candies. I think I missed out on 500 candies on a double day last week, and I believe I bought 13 chests throughout the month. I still haven’t bred a chromacorn dragon, and I used one of the two wishes I have saved to get one chromacorn. I’ve been breeding for a nightbloom and a spirit dragon in the breeding caves, but no such luck so I’ll have to buy those.
On the plus side, I have managed to obtain all the ornaments for the three evolving dragons! I had multiples of love and bone, so only 2000 spent to evolve on that front. But the chromacorn is a different story....
As it stands right now, my must haves for the 23,148 are as follows: Spirit - 4200 Nightbloom - 4900 Corrupticorn evolve - 1000
Which leaves me 13,048. Now I think I’d like to use my second wish for a second chromacorn and evolve that one. I’d probably spend the rest of the candy on one spooky habitat and one effigy. Or is that a waste of a wish?
Also, i’m still on the fence over these effigies. Not quite sure if they’re a waste of candy.
Although I thought I would completely ignore the new Ghostly category of dragons, I decided that I actually liked the idea of a Ghostly Ghost & a couple of others. I have extra plain old ghosts that I wouldn't mind changing into Ghostlies, but is it too late to do that? I bought the 3 effigies, but can't seem to figure out how to ghostify ones I already have. Do I have to breed new ones, or now wait for BEB or next year's Halloween event? I'm not only Utterly Rifted, I'm ghosted. AND I still haven't been able to breed a Chromacorn. I absolutely refuse to use a wish for one; those are saved for islands. It will be interesting to see how long (as in years) it takes me to actually breed one.
Edited to add: At the beginning of the event where the Chromacorn was introduced, I only needed T' Shen (or whatever it's name is), for my Dragonarium to sparkle; now I need TWENTY dragons! I have simply got to import new koalas to help out!

Still no luck with either the Blue or Purple Flame. Just keep getting Porcelains and Tendrils with nary a Flame in sight. No Corrupticon for me. Here is a pic of what I ended up with until I sold off the extras yesterday. (freitag: Use blocks to keep track as shown in upper left)
