Question: how do I accelerate the growth of treats without harvesting them? Would love to have 6 of them ready and get the new dragons.
You can't without Kairos or just waiting it out. Wouldn't be surprised if they hotfix the auto farming of treats when you hurry, unless it's something they can't change without a new client install.
Thanks, unlocked both within the first couple tries.
Meta-carotene is crazy good. They make Fiery Figs obsolete. Better cash-to-food ratio and it's not even time-limited.
What is the point of the special event crops now if they're not the best anymore? Guess I'll keep saving up for the next bumper crops mini-event, instead. That's gonna be nuts if Meta-carotene is included.

I need a refresher course on how to unlock the cross-pollination treats. I know that you need to plant the correct combination in adjacent treat farms, but I forget what "adjacent" means. Do the farms have to be directly next to and/or above each other, or can they be offset? Also, can they be unlocked in the regular treat farms or does it have to be the ones on the event island?
They have to be touching at least a little. There cannot be any space between them, but it does count if only the very edges are touching, like this.
They give off a sparkly particle effect if they're linked up to another one, so you can experiment if you're unsure. And they do have to be Towering Treat Gardens. Lower levels like the Grand Treat Farm will not work.

So Ghostly dragons are limited again with this event starting. I was hoping they'd stay permanent, since I'm missing so many and now need to focus on getting extra seed, sprout, and leaf dragons for the evolution.
I bread a Spectre after the start of the event (much to my surprise) so yeah u can still breed them, check the dragonarium.

Thanks. I have Kairos, but used him yesterday without thinking about the event..

Let me know if I'm not right on this (it won't be the first or last time I can't quite figure it something out!) We need the Bloatato Dragon and the Curlyleaf Dragon before we can evolve the Karroot or Vidalia Dragons. If I understand correctly, the seed dragon must live in a habitat with both the bloatato and curlyleaf before it can be evolved - AND - we have to have 6 of the correct treats to harvest all at the same time.
If you have dragons to evolve the bloatato and curlyleaf will be the easiest because we can grow the needed fruit (again 6 ready to harvest). We just have to purchase the correct decoration too.

Is this right?
Koala to all
Yes, but you also need the Sprout, Seed, or Leaf Dragons to be level 20....since they're epic you'll need a Relic of the Epics and a Monument of the Epics to level them that high. Those cost 1775 gems each.
Bluewonder if you click on the treat farm you will have the option to harvest by spending gems.
that i know... but i don't need to harvest them, i need them to show that that are ready to be harvested on the farms so that i can get the new dragon....

ugh; i got into this game to breed cool, new dragons, not spend my time hitting buttons to get things just to buy them... come on backflip get it together
- The evolution requirements for the new dragons are CRAZY, but you can also just buy the dragons in the market which is nice.
Does this mean the $7,500 and $8,500 amounts are to actually buy the dragons outright, and NOT an additional cost to evolve them after meeting the other requirements?

Yeah, that's the cost to outright purchase the evolved dragon. It's cheaper Spice-wise to buy the deco and evolve if you have the prevo dragon available.
Well, that's it for me. Uninstalled. Another convoluted event I simply haven't the time and patience for. The fun's gone, time to call it quits. Can't be bothered anymore. Best of luck to everyone with their individual goals, and thanks for all the laughs here! This forum turned out to be the best thing about the game; great crowd of people here. Cheers and masses of marvellous marsupials to all.
I just got an osterix dragon from a mystery egg. On a scale from metal dragon to corrupticorn dragon, how jealous is steel bluminati? Show your work.
hahaha! POTM for sure! Congrats! I’ve been having great luck from mystery eggs over the past 2 weeks or so (twin rifts of lapis, dawnbringer, Okenite, garnet, jingle, and Totem), but I am still missing a rift Osteryx. I hope your mystery egg luck continues!
Guess what? I just bred a cold trait osteryx. Coincidence? I think not

So far, I have the impression that this event will be easier than the last. There is no gambling aspect, spending massive amounts of gems or currency on randomized chests. The dragons look expensive to buy, but they're actually easy if you already own seed, sprout, and/or leaf dragons today and can be evolved without that large cost. Going to spend my time breeding extras that I can evolve later.
I don't plan to buy the extra expensive treat farm, unless it does something special that I can't see. I don't even use all the farms I have today, if I did I'd be out of gold so very quickly.
Now the cost of these decorations is crazy high. It's 39,800 for these new items, and you'll need an additional 1k for each dragon to evolve. That's 43,800 for 1 each, to 47,800 for 2 each (and more if we get limited dragons). Given the time left, if we get double days every other day then we'll end up with around 35k, well short. Guess I need to consider giving up on my desire to have all decorations in game.

I'm almost certain that they'll be available during BeB for peanuts.

Awww don’t go Zekky, just throw a hissy fit at this event and carry on as normal, or just engage with it as much as you want to....

I unlocked both new treats already without speeding up. I planted the Blushrooms and just kept planting the Sarjin peppers (1 min) beside the Blushrooms that were still going. I then planted the Dragonfruit and kept planting Beanstalk (1 hour) beside it. So don’t think you have to speed up the longer food times to unlock the new stuff.
I bred Bogberry (Light) rift on my very first breed. 😱🐉❤️ I am so happy since I have failed to breed it the other two times it was available.
