Is it the best plan to evolve rift dragons as they can always be moved to the park, and if I evolve non rift dragons they can't be moved to the rift?
I would say so. You can use rift dragons to breed non-rifted variants, but not the other way around. So I always evolve riftboys and then clone them in co-op.
Only drawback is that it costs so much more food to feed a rift. But of course you can use E to level up instead.

Thanks for that! Both points I'd forgotten about, but now will weigh up my options before evolving any more dragons.
I'll evolve two rift dragons for each new dragon. One will be a normal rift coal/gift, and the other will be a twin version we're getting from the social eggs. That will give me a normal and twin rift of each new evolution. I can then breed them in the rift to get a rift egg, and take them outside the rift to get normal versions of the dragon and egg. The only thing missing would be a twin rift egg, and twin normal/egg which can be obtained from the co-op eventually.

Sooooo.....do you guys think we're getting a bring em back? Or just the mini bring em backs throughout the year from now on (which, I have to admit, I prefer for the limitation of possible breeding outcomes).

I am in no hurry for a bring em back right now, but I am wondering when-if-how it will be possible to get the Porcelain and Wrath dragons since I only got a handful of decos in those collections (somehow I got Corrupticorn in a mystery egg, otherwise that would be lacking too).
I am also wondering when the other four dragons will be released. I am not even close to ready for them in terms of the deco collections, but that's why I am worried...
While I’ve been a bit silent this event, I’ve been working on getting as many decorations as I can to evolve these dragons. I have yet to get a complete set for any 😔 but have 64/100 decorations so far. Here’s the breakdown: Stockings - just missing purple Poinsettias - just missing red Presents - missing red, teal, purple, and pink Feathers - missing red, yellow, green, purple, and pink Arc lamps - I only have black, red, and pink Cocoa mugs - missing black and teal Tuplets - missing blue and white Flutter fruits - missing black and green Gumdrops - I only have red, orange, and white Nutcrackers - missing red, orange, yellow, teal, and pink I’m really glad the newest update added a couple extra mini games (I’m loving the name that dragon) and that it fixed the pedestal glitch and the Arena filtering issue. Koala collecting and evolving! Also important to note what I believe Cyn brought up - this is a marathon, not a sprint. We have a lot of time left.
I got a bunch more decorations. Here’s my updated progress: Stockings - just missing purple Poinsettias - just missing red Presents - missing red, purple, and pink Feathers - missing green and pink Arc lamps - now only missing orange, yellow, teal, and white Cocoa mugs - just missing black Tuplets - just missing blue Flutter fruits - missing green Gumdrops - now just missing black, yellow, and pink Nutcrackers - missing red, orange, yellow, teal, and pink
I’m so close to having all ten for so many... it’s driving me crazy! Lol
It is so good to have you back after your absence! I still use your DRAGON PICTORIAL and find it a valuable asset, especially now that ‘Name That Dragon’ is back. I am lousy at the Dragon Drop game (I think there is definitely age discrimination going on with that one! Us old-timers just don’t have the quick reflexes.) Just before I play I do a quick study of the dragon pics. Unfortunately, now they are throwing all the newest dragons at me and I’m guessing... and guessing wrongly about 25% of the time. Any chance you will be updating the resource to give us ancient ones a fighting chance?

So the decision is between spending so much food/E to level up the rift dragon and hoping one can clone it in the co-op or spending 1000 berries each to evolve both a rift and non-rift dragon. If you choose non rift then you have to pay to evolve a rift and eventually will probably want to level the rift up at some point, but if you have enough food or E to level up a rift right away you can try to clone it in the co-op and if you are successful you will save 1000 berries and not have to purchase a non rift event dragon of that particular ilk.
Weighing those options, if one has the food/E, I think evolving the rift event dragon, leveling it up and then trying to clone it in the co-op probably gives the most bang for the buck. Even if it doesn't work out and you run out of event time before you are able to clone it and end up having to pay 1000 berries to evolve a non rift version you don't really lose anything because you probably would have wanted to feed the rift dragon eventually anyway.
Somewhere in that lump of grey clay I laughingly refer to as my brain I knew this thanks to Mr. Bones mentioning it in the last event, unfortunately I didn't remember I knew this so the first 2 event dragons I had the opportunity to evolve I went for the non rift versions. So naturally I have been able to clone these dragons for egg pedestals with shocking ease and even cloned one twin and a twin pedestal. And had to spend berries to evolve rift versions. Hopefully for the next 8 dragons I will evolve the rift versions first and continue my lucky cloning streak.

Since everyone else is doing it, I guess I’ll name the decos I’m missing
Poinsettias: missing green Cocoa mugs: missing all except pink purple and yellow Stockings: missing pink and purple Presents: missing all except teal purple and yellow Tuplets: missing pink and blue Feathers: missing all except black and blue Flutter fruit: missing all except red purple and black Gumdrops: missing all except blue Nutcrackers: don’t have any Arc lamps: don’t have any
Last Edit: Dec 22, 2018 5:52:01 GMT -6 by aquathedragon: Didn’t know arc lamps were a thing
Other curious stats: 21% of all deco's are Tuplets, Cocoa Mugs next at 19%, with Poinsetta and Stocking running 16% 70 unique with 236 total deco's (mostly in the social menu clogging the fudge out of that - waiting to work out if 50 berries is better than the possible high resale value or not) 77/82 correct guesses at Name the Egg, 1/1 on Name that Dragon (but I found it much harder than the egg)

Poinsettias - done Cocoa mugs - done Stockings - need purple Tuplets - need blue Presents - need pink Nutcrackers - need orange Flutter fruit - need green and purple Gumdrops - need red, blue and white Feathers - need yellow, black and pink Arc Lamp - need blue, purple, teal and green
I keep spending gems to try and get them all down to just the one hardest decoration each, but I have not gotten anything but duplicates for quite awhile. I don't want to buy 16 toy boxes, but if I buy ANY at all I will certainly NOT get one of the really rares needed to complete a decoration type. Someone mentioned until you are down to one rare only for each type needed to complete you will get one of the other not so rare decorations. However I am starting to wonder if the difference between the really rare and the kind of difficult is minuscule. I could spend the 23.280 berries to buy all the toy chests I need to complete all the decos, but I don't think that would give me the most fun. Also I'm not sure I won't need those iceberries for later in the event. As people have said this is a marathon not a sprint. But then I don't want to keep throwing gems at impossible odds. Have people gotten the really difficult last few decorations playing games for golden chests? Or did you have to buy toy chests?
Here's my updated list of missing as well... Cocoa Mug: Missing Black Flutter Fruit: Done (Last one was Green) Tuplet: Done (Last one was Blue) Nutcracker: Missing Orange, Yellow, Teal, and White Stockings: Done (Last one was Black) Feathers: Missing Yellow, White, and Black Poinsettia: Done (Last one was Red) Gumdrops: Missing Orange, Green, and Black Presents: Missing Pink Arc Lamp: Missing Red, Teal, and Black
I've been slowly buying Toy Boxes, but I want to keep some berries in reserve in case they throw something at us (e.g., limited time non-breedable dragon). At this point, I'm trying to hold about 15,000 berries in reserve, so hopefully that'll be enough for whatever is coming with the other four event dragons and/or whatever they have planned with the Krampus and Kringle (and maybe Trinket and Regift) dragons.

Noooo! Not one, but TWO limited dragons just before Christmas! Edit: Actually, this may be a plus for some players. Instead of trying to collect feathers and gumdrops, you could just buy the dragons.

😘 good to read that the list is still of any help.
I will think about it you know there are more than 200 new dragons since my last update. This means 200×4 new pictures (adult, juvenile, baby, egg) oh well, I'm on holiday now - I'll see if I'll find the time...

Yes, BEB....and I've already gotten a Motley! Can't say that I am happy that they started it during the event, since it just increases chances of failure when trying to clone the event dragons.

I wonder if Lokilure and Saccharine are going to be like Aubergine. Aubergine was only available for a limited time to be purchased, but it could be evolved at any point once all of the requirements were met.

Ghosties can now be rifted. Just bred a ghostly ghost with a cold trait in the rift, while trying to breed mountain.
