I only got dc from the coliseum and the ad as well - worrying! The voting thing is a nice idea, at the moment looks like 95% voting for extending BeB (they usually extend it anyway don’t they?). I got the last gumdrop I needed from the community chest so I’m now at 9/10 oringinal event dragons . I evolved a plant to a ghostly (not sure why!) and can’t put it in a spooky habitat with the other ghostlies which is really annoying. koala everyone 🐨🐨🐨

It’s on the emoji keyboard (the one we use for emoticons/smiley faces) at the beginning of the animals and nature section.
I just got a Gold Medal in the Colosseum in one of my games and the only reward was dragoncash. No gems. Has this happened to anyone else, or was that a glitch? Also my community reward in the 2 games I’ve checked were decorations I already had. I am not feeling the goodluck at the moment.
And I didn’t even get any koalas for writing Koala! 😢
I, too, only got DC for a Gold Metal in the colosseum today. I sure hope this is a glitch & not a new direction for the Collosseum events. That would not be cool at all, BFS.

I don't believe it is a glitch. I also only got dragoncash as a reward. Watching the video also only earned DC. That's 7 gems a day we can kiss goodbye. People are talking about it on FB so I think that's how the colosseum will work from now on. it's our latest gift from Hasbro. I guess they didn't sell enough gems with that deal they had taking up the right hand corner of the screen for an inordinate amount of time over the event. Probably their next move will be to stop gem gifting and have it be just food and DC we gift each other. It's a perfect plan really. Increase the need to spend gems if you want to stay at all current in the game and then take away all the ways you can earn gems without spending real money. Brilliant, diabolical. I think I am going to rein myself in when it comes to spending gems in the game. I will think over each gem purchase carefully because I believe they are going to continue to become more difficult to acquire without purchasing them. It's all about the money for Hasbro. But then I guess it's always all about the money and always will be and certainly not just for Habro. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

This could be the final straw for me. I just seriously depleted my gem stash buying the extra eerie habitats I didnt get in the event (500 gems each, ouch! But I want them for the ghostlies, and figured the gem stash would build up again). I will continue to play as usual, not trying to hoard gems, and when I run out (I am at 700-something), that will be goodbye. That will give a little time to see if they are really cutting off the gem flow.

I just noticed that you don’t need the new Ghost dragons for your Dragonarium to breathe fire. I just got the last of the new ornamental dragons...but not the new Ghosties. My Dragonarium is breathing fire.
That's amazing news! I was quietly resigned to never seeing my dragonarium breathe fire again, but as soon as I spot a Honuhonu in the coop, which will give me a chance for the last normal dragon, I may be pleasantly surprised.

Hi, I haven't posted for a long time but I just wanted to say that I am unhappy with a lot of the changes made in the game. I have just decided to change my expectations and not worry about getting all the dragons anymore. It’s pretty hard with them throwing in so many dragons in this event. I’m just going to enjoy this game as much as I can and fool around with my arrangement of habitats and dragons and islands. It’s still a fun game.
“Lazy” says it all. Since BFS axed the best of its creative team, this is the future of dragon creation. What is next? Mummy versions of each dragon in which every dragon is rereleased wrapped in gauze? Or maybe Zombie versions that you can’t get rid of which end the game because you can’t sell them off or store them? So disappointed!

Humblest of apologies... . Unfortunately, I have been lettin’ it rip as t’were since before I could walk when I used to flip over the bar of my crib and crawl around our flat getting into reams of trouble. Not sure the new overloads even listen to what is said on this forum or they certainly would not be taking the game in the direction it is going. Off to open the app and sell all the Ghostlies I have previously bred as a form of protest to that direction. May not be much but I wonder what they would do if the majority of players made that statement?

Many thanks Kiwi Chris! I've partnered your Honuhonu with one of my Elder Plants, but they seem to be happily breeding a tribe of swampies.. I'll speed a few more through and see what happens.
Is there a reason to buy the effigy of the leaf instead of just buying the less expensive ghostly plant dragon outright?
It costs 500 berries to evolve a Plant dragon into a Ghostly Plant dragon. Since all of the new Ghostlys require a Ghostly Plant parent, you may want more than one Ghostly Plant dragon to expedite breeding. In that case, it’s cheaper to get the effigy and evolve your Ghostly Plant breeders. I haven’t tried using the effigy to evolve a Plant Rift dragon, so I don’t know whether that is also a possibility with the effigy.
That said, I evolved two Plants into Ghostly Plants. I’ve been breeding for the Ghostlys in all three breeding locations (cave, island and coop) and have yet to get one of the Ghostly hybrids.
Well, I guess the gem rewards for the Colosseum and ads have been taken away. I can confirm that there are still gem awards in the Races, as well as occasionally from the arcade games.

No gems from any of my parks colosseum either. It's probably my fault, I've been complaining for a year about how making purchases removes your ability to get free gems in game (visions go away for 6 weeks), so I stopped spending in Dragonvale and suggested others do the same.
Instead of changing that policy, maybe their solution is that they're now going to slowly remove all free gems in game and only leave us purchases to obtain them! That fixes everything, right?
Edit: I did just send them an email. My hopes is that it's a bug, or given the backlash that they'll call it a bug and back out the change. They're usually good at responding quickly in either case, even if they plan to keep it as an intended change. If I hear before anyone else, I'll post.
