I might be mistaken, that would be no surprise really, but I thought you couldn't breed a ghostly primary dragon at all. The only way to get a ghostly fire for example is to evolve a fire dragon. Not true?
You're right, I was wrong in that post - Ghostly Fire + Ghostly Lava can only get you a ghostly lava, not a ghostly fire. Two ghost fires can get you a ghost fire though. Mostly I was trying to show the point that the fire and lava will not get you the other ghostly dragons, like obsidian.
Oops, sorry about that. Momentary brain freeze...I added an edit to the original post. You're right, you cannot breed a Ghostly Primary unless both parents are the Ghostly Primary. You can breed the hybrid, as long as it's a Ghostly Hybrid or Ghost Primary with the Ghostly Hybrid.
Ghostly Lava + Ghost Lava can yield Ghostly Lava (along with every Lava+Lava outcome). Ghostly Lava + Ghostly Fire can yield a Ghostly Lava (along with every Lava+Fire outcome). Ghostly Fire + Ghostly Fire can yield a Ghostly Fire (along with a regular Fire).
Not a stupid question. The answer is you can’t. Ghostlies are only available in the regular park.

Technically, you can get a ghostly in the rift through one method, but it doesn't result in a ghostly rift dragon, just a regular ghostly dragon for your main park area. You can buy eggs of mystery in the rift with etherium, I managed to get a twin ghostly cold and twin ghostly ghost for my main park with purchases yesterday.
Ugh, a new batch of ghostlies, probably with locked ghostly combos. And I thought I was getting somewhere close to being able to at least buy with berries the ones I can't manage to breed in the next week... Sisyphus.

I have to say, I've had WAY more luck cloning ghostlies between my parks (even when the parents are different) than I ever had breeding them. Since it's twins weekend, I'm probably going to buy one or two in each park and cross-clone them in co-op. Koala to all!
So I waited for a doubles weekend to sell my gift dragons thinking I would get 30 iceberries instead of 15. But for some reason I am only getting 24. Odd number that. Has the iceberries sale for gift dragons been reduced to 12? Is anybody else having this problem?

The iceberries you get for selling a dragon in this event has been equal to the number of hours it takes to hatch them, capped at 20. So a 12-hour dragon (like all four of the gift dragons) would give 12 berries; a 48-hour rainbow would give 20. On a doubles day you'd get 24 and 40 respectively, so it looks like you're right where you should be.
I don’t think we will be asked to evolve Krampus or Kringle dragons. Krampus represents the naughty side - naughty children receive a lump of coal from Krampus at Christmas, and Kringle represents the good side - good children receive gifts from Kris Kringle at Christmas, hence the whole Coal/Gift thing.
I wish you'd been correct. And unfortunately not only KRAMPUS and KRINGLE, but an impossibly overwhelming number of others... Christmas/Holiday and not, just in case there was a remotely tiny chance of getting them without outright paying for them. Salty? Who, me?

This morning, in the Glacial Giftery, there was a Toy Chest instead of Iceberries. Inside the Toy Chest was a ‘Yellow Present’. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE don’t tell me we’re gonna hafta collect colored Presents (like those Porcelains, Tendrils & Flames) in that earlier EVENT.

I've evolved some of the new dragons and bred others in the coop, so now I'm wondering what to spend my iceberries on, as I don't collect pedestals and am ignoring the ghostie dragons altogether. Am I going to be forced to buy the ghostie effigies just in case they're planned to be used down the track for some truly NEW dragons, and just regard them as a set of decorations?

It certainly is a pain trying to display all these dragons and ghostly varieties with the limited habitat spaces. It is even harder trying to store excess dragons in the Hibernation Cave.
I agree, the odds of getting a ghostly are too low. When breeding Fire + Plant, it took about 20 attempts to get a ghostly Poison (and I couldn't get a ghostly Flower, eventually getting a twin version).
I got lucky with the daily logon mystery egg... Corrupticorn. As I bought the pedestal back during the Halloween event, I guess I don't really need to spend 1000s of gems getting the decorations and evolving a Chromacorn (which I finally managed to breed a 2nd one of too).

We will be able to clone a ghostly we don't have from one a friend has put in the cbc (single-parent clone) after they go out of season, right? Hopefully their season will be extended after the event ends, as the previous batch of impossibly difficult ones were.
