It's worse than that for some of us. I want two of each in the rift, so I can breed the egg and have all versions. I did that with the om of noms event too, created two of each in the rift, bred the egg, and then moved them out of the rift where I could clone non rift versions too.
So I want 10 rift coals, with 2 extra to keep. A total of 12 each in the rift. I'm at 8 or 9 now.
So we have to collect items of many colours again. My gift boxes contained a black Flutter Fruit amd a teal Hot Choc Mug.
I received a purple Flutter Fruit. Hopefully we will be able to buy them with iceberries and won't have to collect them the same way we did in the Halloween event.
I knew I didn't want to open that toy box. I was just staring at it. If I didn't open it I could still hold onto to the possibility of this continuing to be the fun event it has always been. It's the one I look forward to every year, I so didn't want Hasbro to spoil it. But they break everything. It's why we can't have nice things. Seriously though, one cannot hide from reality so onward and upward. Bring it on Hasbro/BFS. All I can do is play the game as they present it to me. I will just hold my nose and soldier on. Honestly though the game does seem to be getting away from me. I feel like i used to feel when I was a kid with very short legs eating everyone's dust.

How did you collect colored presents in that earlier event ? Did you have to trade in berries or something else for that or did you have to find and tap them in the park or what ?

So almost zero chances in the wheel, a bit more in the drop game.BUT a chest would contain 3 items and we experienced that it was the same ones you already had collected ... extremely frustrating. And it was for 4 dragons, now it is for 6 dragons ... So most of us will not be thrilled about this event I think.

so 6 series of presents didn't someone say 5 evolutions of Gift and Coal ? How does this work together? Looks more like 3 evolutions each ? But there are 2 times 5 symbols on the loading picture... ? Hmmmm

Ive got them in one park, still trying for ghostlies in the other park. I am really hoping that rifteds won't be required, like it was for auburgine, because I only have singles in the rift and attempts to clone coal with one coal parent have not been successful...
I have been trying for a coal in the rift using my one rifted coal and a rifted soot. According to the sandbox it should be possible, but like you I have not been successful. I have tried the entire time leading up to this event. I'm beginning to wonder if it's just not possible and I'm misunderstanding the rules. Come to think of it, I don't believe I've ever been successful trying for dragons in the rift this way. For example I have never been able to get a second chromacorn using my rifted chromacorn and one of the listed dragons in the sandbox. I'm waiting for beb and hoping that will make it possible to get one so I can evolve a corrupticorn.
OK, I have this question too. I've bred my 5 plain Coal and Gift. But that was b/c I already had 2 of each to breed with (so all were bred using Coal and Coal or Gift and Gift.
I've been assuming that since they are not currently breedable with non-parent combos (e.g. they are not green-hourglassed), then I won't be able to breed them in the Rift unless I have two Rifted coal or gift.
Is that right? When not green-hourglassed, you can only breed a Child with two Parents (not one parent and one right-elements)?
Mixed dragon pairs usually CAN give a parent as a result, even when not green-houglassed. Epics have always been able to, the rest gained that ability when the game allowed Epics and Non-Epics to breed together.
The only dragons that this doesn't work for is the new evolved dragons. So while you can get a second Coal this way now, we're out of luck when it comes to social-cloning Sugarplum or whatever this event. Let's hope the decorations aren't as awkward as Halloween I guess...
But yes, the odds of it happening tend to be absolute garbage. Anywhere between half and a tenth of the normal breeding odds, I'd estimate it as. It varies by dragon though, I was getting Apocalypse dragons every third breed when breeding for Misfortune earlier this year.

Now that they've made it harder to win races, we'll probably have to race to win pieces. But that would still be better than gambling. It really bugs me to have to buy something when I don't know what I'm going to get.
Two more Ornamental Habitats added for a total of 7 now.

I wish they would release another 2-3 islands so I can try and rearrange things to make everything fit again... barely had room after storing some larger decorations.

Absolutely, but you seem to have your add friend button turned off so I couldn't add you, but I sent you a message telling you to send me a friend request at cyn med.
And that's only 6 dragons. 4 more to go. I wonder if there will be 10 sets all together. Ten of ten. That's a hundred decorations. Maybe it will be easier to collect them than it was last time. Maybe there will be no duplicates or at least something that won't make it so difficult and such a costly grind. Well, one thing we can say, events aren't the same old, same old. Although I had no complaints regarding the same old. Still it's a little bit exciting trying to figure what's next. Too many decorations though. We need more room. More islands for sure. And the rift needs help badly.

Yes, getting those different colored decorations in the Halloween Event was a grind which really depleted my Gems...I still haven’t recovered from that.
And why am I Burning? I’m still short 6 Ghostlys. I think I remember Burning for a day during the Ghostlies till the fixed something. Maybe they didn’t fix it everywhere 🤔
