I’m in the same boat, but use the more (but not easily) accessible filter on my side to check against the whole list of friends dragons, select one then change my accessible filter to select for my dragon, it’s a pain, but it works, it’s a good test of our knowledge of the elements of each dragon too 😆

Gathering from habitats won’t get you iceberries. Check the first page of this thread or the help menu on the winter saga island for more on gathering iceberries.

just to add to meadowphoenix’s response, yes that glitch with the event arena filters is known and has been reported several times to BFS, but feel free to email and keep the pressure on for a quick fix 😆
There is a workaround; use the selection filter on your side to bring up a list of dragons, then check to see if these appear in your entire friends list and select one when you find a match, then clear and reselect for your own dragon. Think of it as a quiz for remembering the elements of dragons 😄

The toy chests appear to have a better rate on return. I did a bunch of gem rounds of the tap games, then cashed in my dupes for iceberries and bought toy chests. I got 11 items that I needed in a row, no dupes whatsoever. So keep that in mind when you're down to a few missing items.

Another option is to use the new “search filter” that pops up under “Filter”. This filter searches by the BFS name of the dragon (Plant, Rainbow, etc). I only type in the first 3 letters of the dragon I am looking for, as too much info, can make it a little crazy.  Typing in “Rai” will get you a list that includes Rain, Rainbow, Double Rainbow, and, if we had one, Train. I have found it quicker to use this when searching for any dragon, but especially helpful for “element dragons”.  

Same “Tap to search” filters are also at the top of the screens in the Dragonarium.  This makes for a really quick search when checking for dragons, eggs, and decorations.

I have 4 Arc Lamps.

My collections are as follows:

6 Presents
9 Cocoa Mugs (black is missing)

Mine are as follows 85/100. Nearly all of my feathers, arc lamps and gumdrops are from the prize toy box I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they dont give duplicates. Only 400 gems spent on the 10 second drop tap game, had 75 ornaments at 250 gems, so there is disminishing returns. Bribed my 12 year old who has much better reflexes. Nearly 100% on getting the chest. Another trick is to ignore all purple berries and just look for the golden chest

So much more time to go on the event, so I’m going to slow down my pace now.

Ooo I became excited at the thought of bypassing the stupid ‘list every type of deco and pedestal you have’ by using the search in dragonarium.....and it crashes my game every time 😖

I don't think it worked in the last two events, so probably no bonus berries for selling in double-berry (or even triple-berry) day

You're right. The duplicate decorations sold for a flat rate throughout the event.

Here's my day 2 collection of decorations (in order of which one I've gotten the most of, including duplicates):
9 Tuplets (Missing Blue) (Teal and Black are the most common)
10 Poinsettia (Last to Collect was Red) (Green, Purple and Black are the most common - I've gotten 5 of each of those!)
9 Cocoa (Missing Black) (Green and Purple are the most common)
8 Stockings (Missing Purple and White) (Orange is the most common - I've gotten 6 of those)
5 Flutter Fruit (Missing Red, Orange, Green, Purple, and Black) (White is the most common - I've gotten 7 of those!)
7 Presents (Missing Orange, Purple, and Pink) (None have been super common)
5 Nutcrackers (Missing Orange, Yellow, Green, Teal, and White)
6 Feathers (Missing Yellow, Pink, White, and Black) (Red and Purple are the most common)
1 Gumdrop (only have Blue)
3 Arc Lamps (Have Orange, Purple, and Pink)

I've spent about 300 gems, and have 37 more unique decorations to go. I've found that if you play a bunch of games in a row, you seem less likely to get something you need. When I've spaced out the playing (several hours), it seems like I've had better luck getting new items. So now, my plan is to play the mini-games twice, get two chests, then wait a few hours before playing again. Also, to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Backflip tweaks the odds during the event, so that items that are common now, become rarer later in the event or vice-a-versa.

Also, I asked Backflip about whether any of the decorations were time specific or mini-game specific and the answer from Support said that "A Golden Chest can contain any of the available decorations, but these may be duplicates and are not guaranteed to be a decoration you don't already own. Some of these decorations will be slightly more rare than others." I think they have a different definition of "slightly" than I do...

Also, in terms of duplicates, it seems like there is none reason to keep duplicates. "You only need one of each decoration, so there is no need to keep duplicates unless you want to use them for decorating your park." So hopefully this means they won't throw a curve ball in later and require two of any one decoration or allow us to gift decorations or anything like that.

I think it does, but not by very much.  I've gotten between 10 and 30 iceberries from the arena regardless of how well I've matched (or not matched) the required elements.  I don't think it as strict a requirement as before (I've been using a Party dragon plus a friends Gift or Cold dragon for every challenge and the reward has been between 10 and 30).

I think a fair number of us have been spending gems to buy more plays; after you play the five free plays, you can spend 5 gems to get another play.  Most of us (I think) have been buying extra plays in the Magic Tap game; that one seems the "easiest" to get the chest from and those chests yield 3 decorations.  I know that I've spent about 300 gems and a couple of other players here have also mentioned spending 200 to 400 gems to get extra plays (i.e., chests).

Frostbite and Frostflower seem to be the two golden hybrids the cards keep asking for, and they can be stubbornly difficult to breed when you actually want one. I think I'm going to start breeding for them in my regular park and keep an unhatched egg of each sitting around, waiting for the card that needs them.
