And these are the ones that I've seen mentioned before:
The issue of the non-stop events In only the four months I have been part of the DragonVale online communities, I have seen maybe four or five comments of people saying they like the constant events, but I have seen coming up to hundreds of people asking for longer breaks, and have seen at least ten people saying that they stopped playing because of the constant events. The last Dragons’ Week in particular got a lot of negative feedback and no positive feedback at all. I know full well that you’ve explained in the past that it was bad for profits when you tried it, but something has very clearly changed since then. At the very least, DWs shouldn’t happen during events, because that’s adding 100+ dragons to the dragons we can try for when there are already at least 20-30 limiteds in the event. Please don’t stop reading this suggestion just because you’ve already said no, because I have tried my hardest to see your perspective in my suggestions. This is what I’m proposing: EC collection days end, DW starts, event market remains open for two days > Event market closes, DW continues for five days > possibly 24 hours of no event or DW > Next event starts (Only 5 or 6 more days than you have currently) or EC collection days end, event market remains open for two days > Event market closes, DW begins and lasts for seven days > possibly 24 hours of no event or DW > Next event starts (Only 2 extra days more than the first option) or, for an option with no extra days with no event, EC collection days end, DW starts > Event market closes > Usual 24 hours of no event > Next event starts, DW lasts for four more days (since it’s already been going for three) (No extra days of no event, just three days when a DW is happening and EC collection is not) No loss to profits would be significant enough by adding 5-8 extra days of no main event that it’s fair to add 100+ limited dragons available during a main event when there are already far too many that are available. And you definitely, definitely would not lose any profits at all with the final option, because the only thing that changes from what’s happening at the moment is that there are three days when the DW is happening but EC collection is not. If anything, you will earn more — I don’t play as much during the three days when EC collection is not happening. I still play, but about half as much as I do normally. If DWs started when EC collection ended, I’d still play as much as during events. I personally think the second option is a good compromise since it gives longer breaks (when most people can try for permanent/DW dragons and the people who have all of the permanent/DW dragons can try for twins and rifts or decorate their park or expand their DC farms or whatever) but keeps people interested in playing the game. Also note, I’m not saying DWs should happen in-between every event. For events with no DWs you could have the current three days of no EC collection. And to be honest other mini-events could probably happen during events since they’re not to do with limited releases. TL;DR what I’m effectively suggesting is to have non-dragon-related mini-events during main events (unless you want to keep them in-between events when DWs aren’t happening) and DWs in-between events (basically, swap the way it is currently) since that makes a whole lot more sense than how it is at the moment. If you take the third suggestion that I gave, nothing changes besides things being fairer for players and you possibly getting more profit. It wouldn’t hurt to try it out once or twice.
I want to give my share on each of these:
Nonstop Events and Dragon Week: I agree with the idea of proposing Dragon Week during times when we don't have an event. It would be much more useful and prevents the players from having to decide whether to breed for the event dragons or the DW dragons.
Nonstop Events: Though I am overall fine with the three-day grace period between events (as for no EC collecting), I would like to see it extended to a week instead, for players to take a breather and focus on expanding rather than EC.
Also, another thing that is mentioned is to add less dragons. And I agree; recently we have been having 7-9 new dragons released per event, on average. As of right now, our biggest events (notably Whitbee's Candy Bash, the Christmas events, and the Easter/St. Patrick's Day events) have a TON of dragons in them, possibly even 100 or more. Limiting the releases would allow players to get the new dragons for less total EC, and could allow more time for limited-tiers.
For example, instead of releasing three dragons at the start, you could only release two - one fan-inspired dragon, and one DECA-made dragon. For the limited tier, cutting it down from 4 to 2 dragons would add an extra week and give players a better opportunity to breed the dragon before it leaves.
For the nonstop event schedule, Deca has addressed this many, many times over the last three years. There is no way they can give more breaks or longer breaks between events. It would result in a loss of players and revenue that they will not be able to recover from. It would be the demise of DragonVale.
We discussed this topic repeatedly with Deca during their early years. They’re not going to change. I recommend that players take a break from the game if they need to because the game won’t be slowing down. It takes money to run DV, so it needs to earn money by players supporting it through events.
For those same reasons, it is highly unlikely that Deca will reduce the number of new dragons per event.
Dragon’s Week does occasionally run during a break. But not all the time. There’s not enough breaks to hold all the DWs, so they will inevitably overlap. DW is replacing BEB, and BEB occurred during events. As a result, players can expect the same. I agree, it is most ideal when DW lands on a break, but unfortunately, it doesn’t always fit Deca’s event schedule.

Dear DECA, Please can we not have confusing dragons on the in-game notices for things like twin weekend and dragons' week? I'm trying to get untraited Dargon at the moment so was excited to see it was available... only to discover it isn't.
I was confused too why Dargon was on the loading screen... if it wasn't one of the ones available.
I reported this to Deca. I also received questions about Dargon on Reddit. Deca said they’ll look into new artwork for future DWs. No promises, but the feedback has been passed on.

Thank you!! You do so much for the DV community, from big things to smaller things. You're awesome! 😁 (And you have a great sense of humour 😂)

DEAR DECAFeb 17, 2023 17:03:36 GMT -6via mobileArceus likes this
- monthly gem pass (The total amount of gems is cheaper than buying it all at once. But, you need to claim it every day)
- monthly currency pass (must be triggered each time you need currency, reducing a charge)
- more expensive cosmetics. As I have mentioned before, I would love some adjustment possibilities for visitor spawning portals. Just as an example
- level 21 for more dragons. Using event currency, let us buy a special upgrade item to level more dragons to 21
- more buildings that boost dragon cash or farm income
- complete Ts'aishen makeover. Steps: level Ts'aishen. At max level, currency can be collected daily using fewer and fewer of his currency. If you're not giving it to us for free, spread it over 3 events. Doesn't matter, just please fix him!
- buildings that boost rift income (and upgrades for that building)
- building that stops all animation of decorations + island themes
- special rift habitat upgrade/rift habitat for event currency (500 etherium cap)
- more new event hybrid habitats. I'm not sure how much work these are. However, even people not usually into decorating tend to max them
Sorry if this has been asked already and I missed it.
Dear DECA, Can we have a setting added to Twilight Tower that would automatically change the time in our park to the time set on our device? I love all the dragons who have a different day / night look and would love it if my park would automatically change from day to night at 7 pm local (day 7 am to 7 pm and night 7 pm to 7 am). That way each version of the dragon gets equal time in my park. This could be a really expensive Event currency item to give players encouragement to spend real money for event currency.

Is there not the option to use the Day theme? (Confusingly, the Day theme's night/day status is dependent on your device's clock, and it isn't permanently day.) I don't have the Twilight Tower so wouldn't be able to check.
However, if the Day theme is available, I would like to add to this request that its name gets changed to something less confusing (or, if the Day theme isn't yet available, I agree with this suggestion).

My park has been set to the day theme for a while now, and I can confirm that it doesn't change. I often log on at 12am (don't ask why I stay up that late), and it's still daytime in my park.

Huh. I know the wiki says that day is mixed, so maybe it's a different theme?
Is it the same theme as the one that's used outside of events?

Yes, it is.

There was a discussion about the Day theme in the Twilight Tower a couple of weeks ago. This is the start of the conversation and there are several replies to this post.
Originally, the Day theme would work with your local time. 7am to 7pm was day, 7pm to 7am was night. Which is what is shown on the Wiki, but it is permanently set to Day now. There is no setting that will allow the local time to work as braff20 mentioned.
The only time that local time applies now is the one day between events - after the market closes and before the next event starts. 😊 It may also have worked for the Expansion Extravaganza if Deca didn't set a theme.
I know the Dragon Draw issue has already been reported, but I agree with this comment that anyone who was affected should be given their shards back. I haven't used the Dragon Draw myself recently because I keep forgetting to collect shards, but it looks like a lot of people have been affected, probably more than have commented because people might not be part of the online communities or might not have checked the draw history.
I also checked this morning and apart from the most recent draw and two a little while before that, all of them went to the same person, so it looks like it's spanned at least half a day, and they might still be going.

The issue with hacking in the Dragon Draw has been around since it was re-released. Though DECA did install better preventatives for exploitation, it still does get hacked for shards from time to time.
Yet at the same time, I do agree with you that the shards should be refunded, UNLESS the player who used the shards actually won a dragon over the hacker.

All this talking of Dragon Draw reminds me of the sole time I actually saw a dragon draw fail to complete:
That's quite funny. I've never understood why people vote for common hybrids. Or even rare hybrids.
It's probably because:
They have a low park level and haven't bred the dragon yet
Common permanent dragons usually have a low shard threshold, which makes them easier to win (I have been voting for Motley since it only requires 500 shards to complete)
People occasionally vote for every single dragon for no apparent reason.
Still, even permanent rare/hybrid dragons usually get the soul shards needed to complete the draw. That's why I took a picture of this Mud Dragon Draw; it was the first time I had ever seen a Dragon Draw fail to reach the threshold, AND is the only one I have ever seen fail to reach it.

When I first started with the dragon draw on an old account, I would put 1 shard on each dragon once a day. So sometimes I would be putting it on a common dragon aswell.

I do that some too.

I posted this to r/dragonvale, and a lot of people really liked this idea, so I decided to put it here.
I really dislike the dragon draw feature, as the chances of benefiting from it without spending money, or outright hacking the game, are very small. I think a better use of the feature is to allow players to vote for a limited dragon to return for a week. After a dragon is chosen, the vote resets in order to pick a new dragon for the following week. That way, we can still get out-of-season dragons year-round, but it is available to everyone instead of just one person getting it. It also allows for more community interaction, as people can rally behind dragons that they really want to see come back to the game. Also, a dragon can not be picked 2 weeks in a row to prevent people from exclusively voting for the Corrupticorn dragon every week. I hope this change occurs, it would really breathe new life into the game.

While This is a good idea, They would lose a method of earning money for themselves which they definitely wouldn't do.
I could be incorrect, but I thought iremembered then saying they were thinking about remaking dragon draw in their most recent reddit ama.
