First off, I'd like to thank everyone who suggested ideas and changes to the WIC document. I do hope I can keep making monthly reviews or at the very least bi-monthly (every 2 months). I'm unable to share all but some missing may still be part of future highlights. With that, here's this month's highlights.
From jdblood:
“Make many more dragons permanent, especially older dragons and dragons that don't necessarily need go with a specific theme/event. There are several reasons this should be done:
1. It would decrease the ever-growing size of event markets. Some event markets are already huge, and DECA can't continue to increase the size of these markets forever, or events would become absolutely overwhelming.
2. It would allow for more breeding combos that don't need to fit snugly within only a particular event's dragons.
3. Very few new permanent dragons are added these days (something that I also wish would change), and there are relatively few permanent dragons compared to limited dragons, so there's not very much that players are able work towards year-round. I don't think the playing experience should be limited to events, so having more dragons available full-time would give players other options. And no, I don't think Dragons Weeks address this point, because Dragons Weeks still give only a limited time to obtain each dragon instead of allowing players more options to work towards at their leisure.
4. Many epic elements are almost entirely restricted to specific events, which I think limits the possibilities for new concepts within those elements.
One particular set of dragons that should be permanent are the basic house dragons: icy torrent, blazing gale, etc. These dragons aren't really themed around any of DECA's usual events, plus they show up in multiple events anyway. Also, the rift house set is always available, so why is the most basic house set not always available? They should permanently unlock when the rift unlocks; after choosing your house dragon, you should be able to breed the others.
Also, please don't be restrictive when deciding which dragons NEED to go with a specific theme/event. For example, although the love dragon certainly fits the Valentine's theme, it doesn't NEED to be Valentines-only (or Valentines-only plus a Halloween cameo for wrath) because love is a broad concept that can be applied year-round, and the dragon's design isn't overly thematic. The same can be said for the oldest set of Aura dragons. Most melody dragons also don't need to be in specific events, and in fact the melody dragons that are available during the Halloween event don't fit the event theme at all. These are only examples and I would encourage you to think of other similar examples.
I would also encourage other players to submit ideas/arguments for more permanent dragons that I missed."
Adding onto jdblood's suggestion, here's a list of dragons from my permanent dragon changes. You can see my full reasonings within the WIC document:
“Please can there be no more breeding combos with redundant elements? Or at the very least, there should be a note with every single one that you don't need to meet the element a second time in the second dragon. I see LOTS of people getting confused by this.
Some examples (though there are many): Amalgamate only needing Bone + dark, Hydnellum only needing Wendigo + any dragon at all, and Nature only needing Reminiscence + air.”
From Wydra:
“Keep track of twins and traited dragons (maybe twin-traited too?) owned in the Dragonarium”
More Dragonarium customization options would also be nice.
From anonymous:
“There has recently been a rise in posts asking why opposing element dragons can't be bred together, so I think there needs to be a much clearer explanation about this in-game. I'm not sure if there is even one at the moment besides the 'these dragons are incompatible' notification if you attempt to select, for example, cold + fire, but that isn't really that clear even if someone happens to stumble upon it.”
From metaphorical_robin:
“A dragon with just the Rift element!
I have an idea for it, called the Origin dragon. It should probably be a permanent dragon. The idea behind it is that the wizards are theorising that this dragon might have been one of the first, if not the first, affected by the Rift's chaos magic.
Obtained either by breeding any two dragons in the Rift (this doesn't make as much sense but is kinder) or by evolving any untraited dragon bred in the Rift and stored in the Rift hibernation cave for etherium. My thought was it increases as you use the evolution, so it starts at 1000 etherium, then 10000, then 50000 (since by that point you can clone it anyway), then 100k, 250k, 500k, 1 million, and that's where it caps (either that or it caps at 100k, I don't have a very developed Rift so I don't know if 1 million is too much for someone with a very developed Rift even as a challenge).
Unlike the other Rift-exclusives, it can have any trait. Its trait is always whatever the Rift alignment is at the time of evolving/breeding, and isn't dependent on the parents' traits.
Elements just Rift obviously. But I was thinking it could have either all primary elements or all elements at all as hidden elements, because of its nature.
Description: What wizard or witch could ever know the true origin of the Rift, or the extent of the effect of the Cataclysm and chaos magic had on the dragons that found themselves within it? This ancient dragon, believed to have been one of the first affected by the Scar of the World, is seemingly a being in which opposites reside due to the chaos magic fused with it. If it is true this dragon has been hidden in the Rift since its beginnings, it may know the answers to the questions that wizards and witches are only just starting to ponder.
Appearance: one wing is green and shaped like flat metal shards, and the veins (that's not what they're called but like what a leaf has, or to make it DV related the only part of Gold's wings that don't get traited (!)) are grey/orange (i.e. like metal), then the other wing is shaped like a leaf but is coloured grey/orange.
The tail has a flame, it's blue in the middle (for cold) and red on the outside (for fire).
Its head shines light but also darkness, so around its head is light, and then on the outside is a dark sort of 'glow' that looks almost like it's shining darkness. The hind legs are for water and lightning, one is blue and shaped like a claw, and has a bolt of lightning going round it, the other is yellow and looks like a flipper, and has water flowing around it. The front legs are for earth and air, one is brown and looks like a wing and has dusty air going around it, and the other is white and shaped like a claw with rock-shaped puffs of air going around it.
Not sure what the main body would look like. It better not all be traited though because that would make it look bleh. As for where the trait would actually go, I'm not entirely sure. Possibly the 'veins' of the wings, the centre of the tail flame, and the lightning bolt, flowing water, dusty air and rock-like clouds, though this would ruin the colour opposites.”

Tagging adlerist as well, to make sure if this is okay to post here, I've highlighted a mix of reasonable suggestions that could be forwarded to DECA as well as fun ideas that I enjoyed reading about.
Wydra’s request has been mentioned a couple times in this thread, and it’s on the DV Updates & Feature Requests document.
Personally, I would be against changing a dragon’s limited status to permanent if it has an open breeding combo, like the House dragons, Love, Thicket, Bog, Sumi (although I love Sumi!), etc. It would increase the breeding fails. During the winter event, I kept breeding the House dragons. I do not want to experience that with every event. If the dragon has a locked breeding combo and is required in several breeding hints and/or is scheduled for multiple events, then it’d be okay.

I can definitely see more perm dragons causing a bit of a pain for more players, since they're now easier to get as a fail. I do wish, however, that a few more would be changed to permanent like DECA did with Nightbloom and Misfortune.
Thank you for letting me share my document and this idea with the forum, I can't wait to see more suggestions and fun ideas from players 😊

You’re very welcome! I really enjoy reading it!
Nightbloom and Misfortune were a special case. They’re in so many events and breeding combos that they were required for every Dragon’s Week. Basically, they were kinda permanent due to their constant availability. I asked Deca to convert their status to permanent, because of these reasons. And was so pleased they agreed (I wasn’t expecting that)! For now, it’ll probably take a special case like Nightbloom and Misfortune for Deca to change a dragon. Maybe that will change in the future.

Your suggestion for the Paradox element immediately made me think of Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. Was it inspired by that or just a coincidence? It sounds really cool! Though not being able to breed for or parent clone it doesn't sound fun... It's basically a harder version of evolution!

yes, it was very much inspired by Paradox pokemon lol! The concept is amazing and I had fun brainstorming different ideas, even sketching some (maybe I'll finish them and post sometime). I thought making them unable to parent breed would pose a good (or frustrating for some) challenge to later players, since I saw this as a more late game feature. I also made it that way just to switch up normal gameplay.
Please do not reset the counter to 4 days when Kairos’ birthday ends. Let the one day counter end and go back to normal reset after using him after the mini event ends. It feels like we are being short changed on Kairos and he is not available for the first double weekend of the event. Whether he was used or not.
I feel like permanent 23 hour recharge is a bit overpowered (especially with a maxed Kairos), though certainly I think it would be a nice if we got a speed up for this weekend's double day.
I do wish that it was 3 days 23 hours permanently though, since I use all timer-related actions (i.e. ones that have actual timers rather than resetting when the game does) in the morning and if I miss Kairos even by five or so minutes the time at which I can use it 4 days later gets later and later into the day until I get to the point where I have to leave it for five days so it's back to in the morning again.
The 23 hour recharge time (like with Bahamut and Tiamat/the Greenhouses) was so nice.
Given the fact that within literally a few hours of this event starting I've seen over 10 people getting confused by Eggy Hatchy, there needs to be a better tutorial in-game.
I think there should be a tutorial round that you are guided through the first time you play eggy hatchy (this should not be forced on you if you've played a prior event where eggy hatchy was a thing though) like with the racetrack. And like with the race's tutorial, it's permanently there if you want to be guided through the steps again.

I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear in what I was asking. I wasn’t asking for a permanent 23 hour recharge. I was just asking that we could use him when the timer counts down, instead of him being reset at the end of the event without a use. This year (and last), when his birthday ends, the counter resets to four days without his power being used. Feels like they are cheating us out of a Kairos use. Basically it will end up being 4.5 days between his power being active.
Huh? This did not happen to me. Sounds like a bug!
Music dragons' is too low also, but that's more my fault. With Zodiac dragons, I can't even have one full island. Even a single habitat more would help greatly

Dear DECA,
Please introduce filtering capability for the eggs in the social menu
Please let us collect dragon cash from ALL habitats in one touch. Tapping my phone screen over two hundred times is very boring and will lead me to stop playing DragonVale at some point.

Thank you.
Both of these have been requested many times. Here's hoping! (Though who knows whether DECA will change anything.)
Don't forget the Light/Dark Rift rewards (light/dark respectively and Rift) and Harmonious (plant, monolith, chrysalis, hidden) and Meridiem/Celestial (sun, moon, galaxy).
I think the only two primary elements not covered in one of these (and paradise/spooky) are metal and lightning, and then of course you've got rainbow and apocalypse. Hopefully that and other epic elements will get their own multi-element habitat (besides the Omnitat of course) at some point.

I was targeting habitats not harbouring epic elements with my request. Although, yes of course, we already have quite a bit. The biggest gap I feel is really in metal/lightning. A workshop, air ship or circus themed hybrid could be so cool.
Since circus is yearly, it's got the space to offer a special habitat. I would greatly welcome one exclusive to gardenia, however. Really, any event.
Music dragons' is too low also, but that's more my fault. With Zodiac dragons, I can't even have one full island. Even a single habitat more would help greatly
For the zodiac habitats, I have a hunch that the cap will be doubled once the second half of the Zodiac dragons are released (likely in the next Camp DragonVale).
With the Melody Dragons, I do agree with raising the cap, at least by two, as there have been quite a few Melody dragons added in the past year (Sea Shanty, Lullaby, and now Classical), and I don't think the habitat has had a cap increase yet.
Personally, I would want more Aura Habitats and Hidden Habitats, as we get a TON of those dragons every year. Especially the hidden dragons as we've gotten four: Diggy, Igluit, Morphimagus, AND Redbeard in the past year.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.
Okay, so I *finally* got round to organising all the things I wanted to suggest. There are quite a few that I'm pretty desperate for DECA to see, so I'll post them here, and then the creative/less important ones on the WIC.
Some of them have been mentioned quite a lot before (I'm just posting my own ideas to do with them/attempting to reiterate that lots of people want those features changed) so I'll post those ones on a second comment in case they're considered too spammy, so that those ones can be removed and the ones I haven't seen talked about can stay.
These are the ones I haven't seen talked about quite as much:
Fairer gameplay mechanics Event stuff Have fewer new releases. Two at the beginning and a max of six (including both limiteds and the ones that stay throughout the event) during the event is a good balance to aim for, since it will keep people interested but won’t overwhelm them. Having as many as there are now is overwhelming; we’re currently averaging something like a dragon a week which is crazy. At the very least, new releases should be cheaper. I like Worms’ idea of having the limited new releases having a silhouette until they’re released; this will definitely spark interest and keep people playing until those dragons arrive. Make the new releases, especially the limiteds, not quite as expensive. Having them be more expensive than others is fair enough since they’re special, but the limiteds shouldn’t be 15k+ EC, especially since they only last a week. That’d be 2.5k EC per day, and I don’t even get that much at the beginning of the events with RBCs (which is when I get the most EC — 2.2k was my daily average, including doubles, at the beginning of the most recent winter event). It isn’t fair for people who are just starting out, playing casually or can’t play for loads of time. Using evolution dragons in limited new releases isn’t particularly fair. If one is going to be used, the evolution dragons should be cheaper during that event. Evolution dragons in the new releases that stay throughout the event isn’t quite as unfair in my opinion, but they should definitely be avoided in limited new release combos.
Bug fixes Blue-hearted dragons (This one has definitely been mentioned before but I think it's important for DECA to see since I don't think they've understood what the issue is.) It seems from the most recent AMA that you are unaware of a bug to do with blue-hearted Co-Op dragons, and have been for a while now. It seems you think it’s the case that once a player has blue-hearted a dragon, this doesn’t change even if they use a different dragon in the Co-Op cave. However, if they blue-heart a dragon then use another dragon in the Co-Op cave, this new dragon gets blue-hearted instead. Example: I put my Greenge dragon up for Co-Op. I want to clone Everfrost so I use an elder cold dragon in the Co-Op cave for the highest odds. This automatically gets blue-hearted, so now my DV friends can only use my elder cold dragon in Co-Op. This would be especially unhelpful if I was using my Greenge dragon in normal breeding or a quest, since then I can’t change it back to my Co-Op dragon. It doesn’t seem like it’s the intended thing to happen going by your comment about it in the AMA; it should be the case that the blue-hearted dragon they chose remains the blue-hearted dragon, even if they use a different dragon in the Co-Op cave. This would be a much better feature if you can fix the bug.
Tutorials/info RBCs Some tutorials need to be better explained in-game, such as the Runic caves. Make it clear, for example, that a player gets one claim per cave unlocked and will not get a second claim in a cave that has already been unlocked if they activate it a second time, and that they can claim even when the cave has been deactivated. This information is available online but lots of people won’t look. Breeding Explain that the new releases can’t be bred, only cloned! I was trying for Ariesian throughout the whole of the event when it appeared because the in-game hint didn’t mention I couldn’t actually get it from that combo yet. Have a short in-game tutorial on parent cloning and have the exceptions in an info pop-up in the help menu of the Co-Op cave. A lot of people ask questions about this. Also, have an info page in each breeding cave specifically for explaining that opposite elements can’t be bred, and explain this when the cold element is introduced (since fire + cold is the first opposing element combo that gets unlocked). Eggy Hatchy Eggy Hatchy should have a racetrack-like tutorial that a player gets given the first ever time they play Eggy Hatchy (this tutorial isn’t forced on them if it’s their second/etc. time, only available as an option) and is available permanently whenever Eggy Hatchy is available. Like the racetrack, the tutorial takes a player through all of the steps and strategies but doesn’t use up a play. Questing Give a brief explanation during the tutorial for Kairos that sending the required dragon will give two keys. Something like ‘There will be a particular dragon that is most suited for each quest. If you send that dragon, it will find more rewards than others!’ Racetrack Explain about the boost at the staring line of races during the tutorial. Rift There needs to be clearer tutorials on hidden Rift buildings — multiple people have said they never knew there were any! Something like ‘there are rumours of buildings hidden in the Rift, mysterious places where you can change the traits of traited dragons or house many dragons that live in the Rift’. Explain briefly at the beginning of each EoM description that its price will increase. Something like ‘the magic of the Eggs of Mystery is very powerful, and as such the cost to use them increases over time. Spend etherium on them wisely.’
Aesthetics The Twilight Tower and Weather Station It’s much more efficient to buy Aubergine from an event than to evolve for it, and the other 12 dragons affected by either the Twilight Tower or Weather Station have single parent clone chances that are not much worse than their specific combo chances. For this reason, the two buildings are effectively used for aesthetic purposes only, so they should not be expensive during events. (The Prismatic Pantheon is in a similar vein since the only thing it’s practically used for is finding hidden items and that’s relatively easy with the edit paths trick, though that does have some practical usage at least.) Dragonarium The Dragonarium needs a *huge* rework Have a section specifically for evolution decorations, to make it easier for a player to see if they have all ten without organising them all together or scrolling through the other decorations. Have a way of seeing all non-epics rather than just the elemental (not all the non-epics) and special (includes epics) categories, and in the pedestal section, having sub-categories of epic, elemental and special at the top of the menu would be useful, so that a player doesn’t have to scroll through the whole menu to find the other elemental sections e.g.. Also, secondary-stage ordering. E.g. ordering first by whether or not a player has got it, then by whether or not it’s available. At the moment the secondary stage is automatically always alphabetical, which is one of the least useful ways of organising it. Possibly there could also be a new ordering option for whether or not a player has twin/traited variants of the dragon. Removing Nightbloom from the Elemental section would be good if possible, and any other non-two-primary-element-only hybrids that also happen to be there. There are plenty of other suggestions that have been given in the past. I think you said in the AMA that you’re working on updating it, which is great! 😊
Breeding Redundant elements suck and there are too many hints with them Please, please no more breeding hints with redundant elements!! I see far too many people confused by this for it to be fair for you to ignore this issue. It doesn’t add any extra elements to the mix of course, but for example Amalgamate’s in-game combo with the redundant elements requires an earth + fire + dark dragon, of which there are only six (not including Amalgamate itself). If someone who doesn’t know that redundant elements don’t need repeating doesn’t have one of these six, they’re not going to try for Amalgamate, even if they have a bone dragon and a dark dragon, which would in fact fulfil its requirements. There ought to be a note with the ones there already are in-game that the extra requirements don’t need to be met. All current dragons with redundant elements in combos: Fuefuego (Armament gives light), Amalgamate (Bone gives earth + fire), Glasswing (Daydream gives light + dark), Kroki (Daylily gives plant), Fushi (Flowerhop gives air), Buttercup (Giddle gives light), Starwing/Glowwing (the other gives chrysalis), Tinsel (Holly gives cold), Lyuba (Icebound gives cold), Zilla (Kaiju gives water), Maze (Leaf gives plant), Crawler (Manomano gives dark + water), Lageto (Midday gives cold), Verglace (Mistletoe gives cold), Clover (Moss gives plant), Narcis (Ouroboros gives metal), Ribbon (Regift gives fire), Nature (Reminiscence gives cold), Orlena (Rosegold gives fire), Ariesian (Solarflare gives fire), PonkiPong (Undau gives fire), Hydnellum (Wendigo gives apocalypse), Woodvine (Willow gives air), Twinkle (Winter gives air), Neyvee (Woolen gives earth) Hybrid breeding hints Have breeding hints of permanent non-opposite hybrids (poison, arctic, chrome etc.) be available for free like the Galaxy hints. They shouldn’t cost gems considering the fact it’s literally just breeding the elements they are. For opposite element hybrids such as Frostfire, there should be a note that you can’t breed the primaries but can add an additional element into the mix if needed.
QoL/other Moving dragons We should be able to move dragons to a different habitat while they’re breeding/on a quest. There’s no reason why this can’t be a feature since it doesn’t affect gameplay; literally all it does it make it easier to reorganise. No, it does not force people to spend gems to speed up waiting times. They will wait it out. But then they will forget. And forget and forget and forget. How it is now has zero point and is annoying when we’re trying to reorganise. Friends/Co-Op It would be good if there was way of requesting specific Co-Op dragons in game, e.g. a menu in the Co-Op cave for the dragons that have been requested by others and an option to request a dragon yourself. It can just be a prewritten message of ‘[FRIEND ID] wants the [NAME OF DRAGON] dragon!’ and an option for a player to automatically set it as their Co-Op dragon if they have one. In the AMA you said this would ‘severely unbalance the game’ but it really wouldn’t (to be completely honest I’m not entirely sure why you thought it might since it has absolutely nothing to do with gameplay); we can just contact our DV friends elsewhere. Having an in-game thing would just make it nicer, result in less spam in the online communities, and mean it might not take days for a response to come. Reducing time spent on menial tasks (I know you said in the AMA that you keep them the way they are to increase play time, but I’ve seen people say they’ve stopped playing because of them.) If a particular habitat is needed for a dragon but it isn’t in the park, but it’s available in the event not the main market, there should be a note saying it’s in the event (or the notification takes them straight to the event if they click yes) rather than an empty habitat menu, because lots (and I do mean lots) of people get confused about this. On a related note, it seems from one post that trying to hatch a galaxy dragon without space in the island takes a player to the galaxy habitat menu, which obviously doesn’t have anything. If this is indeed how it is, then that should take them to the galaxy island menu. There should be a way to quickly find buildings. We can use the Dragonarium to find particular dragons, pedestals and decorations but there’s no way to search for buildings besides a player finding one and opening the menu by clicking the number of how many they have. It would be nice if we had a menu that tells us which habitats have empty dragon slots. Having 6+ islands and having to search every individual habitat to find which ones have space is really annoying and tedious. Storage tower There should be more slots in the storage tower available for free or cheaply. If you’re not working on an edit mode, it isn’t fair that we have to spend 25+ gems just to store 11+ different types of decorations/habitats while we’re reorganising. The Mountain Sun confusion I’m not sure how it could be implemented without a name change (which obviously isn’t a good idea) but there probably needs to be something that makes it clear that Mountain Sun is not a sun-element dragon. I’ve seen coming up to ten people saying they went for that house because they thought it was sun-element and there will doubtless be others (I thought so too originally). Maybe a specific warning that says something like ‘Plenty of wizzlings have chosen this house in the past, thinking its mascot an epic dragon, but be warned, it is a hybrid as with the other four’.
Make Pirate Nogard Canon This will literally make DragonVale the perfect game, no doubt about it And I swear he better have a Sweetheart parrot puppet OR ELSE 😤 (yes this one is a joke)
And these are the ones that I've seen mentioned before:
The issue of the non-stop events In only the four months I have been part of the DragonVale online communities, I have seen maybe four or five comments of people saying they like the constant events, but I have seen coming up to hundreds of people asking for longer breaks, and have seen at least ten people saying that they stopped playing because of the constant events. The last Dragons’ Week in particular got a lot of negative feedback and no positive feedback at all. I know full well that you’ve explained in the past that it was bad for profits when you tried it, but something has very clearly changed since then. At the very least, DWs shouldn’t happen during events, because that’s adding 100+ dragons to the dragons we can try for when there are already at least 20-30 limiteds in the event. Please don’t stop reading this suggestion just because you’ve already said no, because I have tried my hardest to see your perspective in my suggestions. This is what I’m proposing: EC collection days end, DW starts, event market remains open for two days > Event market closes, DW continues for five days > possibly 24 hours of no event or DW > Next event starts (Only 5 or 6 more days than you have currently) or EC collection days end, event market remains open for two days > Event market closes, DW begins and lasts for seven days > possibly 24 hours of no event or DW > Next event starts (Only 2 extra days more than the first option) or, for an option with no extra days with no event, EC collection days end, DW starts > Event market closes > Usual 24 hours of no event > Next event starts, DW lasts for four more days (since it’s already been going for three) (No extra days of no event, just three days when a DW is happening and EC collection is not) No loss to profits would be significant enough by adding 5-8 extra days of no main event that it’s fair to add 100+ limited dragons available during a main event when there are already far too many that are available. And you definitely, definitely would not lose any profits at all with the final option, because the only thing that changes from what’s happening at the moment is that there are three days when the DW is happening but EC collection is not. If anything, you will earn more — I don’t play as much during the three days when EC collection is not happening. I still play, but about half as much as I do normally. If DWs started when EC collection ended, I’d still play as much as during events. I personally think the second option is a good compromise since it gives longer breaks (when most people can try for permanent/DW dragons and the people who have all of the permanent/DW dragons can try for twins and rifts or decorate their park or expand their DC farms or whatever) but keeps people interested in playing the game. Also note, I’m not saying DWs should happen in-between every event. For events with no DWs you could have the current three days of no EC collection. And to be honest other mini-events could probably happen during events since they’re not to do with limited releases. TL;DR what I’m effectively suggesting is to have non-dragon-related mini-events during main events (unless you want to keep them in-between events when DWs aren’t happening) and DWs in-between events (basically, swap the way it is currently) since that makes a whole lot more sense than how it is at the moment. If you take the third suggestion that I gave, nothing changes besides things being fairer for players and you possibly getting more profit. It wouldn’t hurt to try it out once or twice.
Traited Galaxies are effectively impossible to get Having a way of getting traited Galaxies outside of EoM would be much fairer, or at least make it easier to get new traited galaxies from EoM. The normal/epic EoM have such wide possibilities that there’s only a tiny chance a player will get a galaxy from it, and it’ll only be traited if they have a twin, so we may as well call it impossible since the chance is so miniscule. This means the only reasonable way of getting traited galaxies at the moment is a limited EoM that increases in price massively. This isn’t fair, especially since a player would need to get every single one (besides Lunis, Solis and Rigel) from EoM for purple fire as the only way to breed for them is parent cloning in Co-Op, and they are not guaranteed to get every single one from EoM, and the price increases drastically. Seriously, I know you said in the AMA that having it guaranteed to be a new dragon would have a ‘massive impact’, but it wouldn’t. A player currently has to pay literally millions of etherium to get every single Galaxy traited — it comes to at least 1.425 million, not even including Rigel, Lunis and Solis, and that’s assuming they never got duplicates. You could have an option to double the price of the Galaxy EoM to make it guaranteed that a player will get a traited Galaxy they don’t have yet – 2.85 million, assuming they don’t get Lunis/Solis/Rigel during that, which they will. If they got Lunis, Solis and Rigel before even just one of the others, they’d end up having to pay 3.795 million etherium even with this ‘double the price, guarantee a new traited Galaxy’ option. As an example with a level 20 Corrupticorn farm and all 75 Regal habitats: with bonuses from racing and questing we can assume an average of 200 etheirum per habitat every half an hour. Assuming the person checks their game every half an hour from 7 am to 11 pm (this is a completely unreasonable suggestion, I’m just using it to prove how my suggestion for the EoM in no way causes balancing issues) and has all 75 habitats that’s 75 habitats*200 earnt in half an hour*33 log-ins every day = 495k etherium every day. With Rift breeds up to the 5000 prices that goes down to 470k etherium so it would take over eight days to get to 3.795 million. In reality no one is going to max out their Rift that far and check in that often; it’ll probably be closer to getting 55 habitats*200 etherium*at most 10 check-ins at full capacity a day = 96k every day after Rift breeds up to the 2500 costs (reminder that this is still an unreasonable estimate since no one’s going to check the game 10 times a day, plus it actually takes a little longer than half an hour for 5 level 20 Corrupticorns to max out a Regal Rift habitat so the 200 per half an hour assumption again makes the conclusion way more optimistic than it should be), or almost 40 days to get to 3.795 million etherium. Also, reminder that the two examples above require 275/375 Corrupticorn dragons which is difficult to say the least. Someone like me who is in the mid-stages of Rift development will be earning closer to 20k a day after Rift breeds up to the 2500 prices; that’s 190 days. That’s nearly a month and a half’s worth of etherium for a reasonably maxed-out Rift with nearly 300 Corrupticorns and over half a year for someone who hasn’t been working on their Rift for as long. There is no way on Earth you can justify saying my suggestion of a ‘double the price, guarantee a new traited Galaxy’ option would have a ‘massive impact’ on getting traited galaxies. Half a year is long enough. Purple fire is meant to be challenging, not impossible. But with that said...
Make purple fire not straight-up *impossible* (literally) Getting purple fire in general isn’t fair at all, because of the fact the new releases that remain throughout the event can’t get traits outside of EoM once the event is over, and RBCs. There needs to be something that means a player can get traited new releases — for example, perhaps the EC price as well as 10k/50k etherium, or an additional EC price of a tenth of the full price (kind of like dragon price + pedestal price = traited dragon price). Or you could treat the new releases that stay throughout the event like EoM, where the second time a player gets the dragon it is a twin and the third it’s traited. Just to be clear, this wouldn’t be a balancing issue either, because the new releases are stupidly expensive so a player would have to spend a whole ton of EC to get a traited version all the same; over 90k EC (an entire event’s worth of EC for me) to get a base, twin and traited for all three new releases, or 120k in an event with four new releases.
The cash-grabby elephant in the room: Ts’aishen’s existence I (and many others) have mentioned this before, but Ts’aishen seriously needs a rework. There should be an option to use his power for free any time (or at the very, very least, once/twice a day) without the bonus, because a laggy park + 30+ islands to collect from = 10-15+ minutes of collecting DC just one time, which isn’t fun and does not make anyone want to spend money on the game. Plus, even without using his power in the meantime (which is less efficient than doing so in terms of when a player will begin to profit) it will take 8-9 years for a free to play player to fully upgrade him, so it isn’t fair to make us use currency to use his power if we just want to quickly collect DC. Ts’aishen seems very much intentionally pay-to-win (I’m not saying it definitely is, and I know if it is that’s Backflip’s fault not yours, what I’m saying is that in every single aspect of its existence, it absolutely seems that it is intentionally pay-to-win) and you will not get anymore profit from having such a very pay-to-win feature (*cough* Dragon Draw too *cough*) since people won’t spend money on something where it feels that is what is intended. If you made it fairer and easier to max Ts’aishen, people would definitely be more willing to pay more money towards completing it. This post shows my calculations. At the very least it will take 8-9 years to fully upgrade Ts’aishen for free-to-play players with how it currently is with stupid upgrade prices and forcing us to use tokens to use his power. This. Is. Not. Fair.
Getting first place in the racetrack shouldn’t be impossible without epics Rework the racetrack. I know you said in the AMA that you don’t think it’s a big part of the game, but it is for some people. We should be able to win if we just meet the elements; we shouldn’t need epic dragons because the measly rewards we get given are not worth the extra requirements. At the moment I think there are 5 or so races that are absolutely impossible to win without epic dragons, and the rest of them require a player to know of the starting boost (which isn't even explained in the tutorial!) and get pretty much all perfects during the race.
Gift menu Sub-menus in the gifts screen for friend gifts, eggs and XP boosts (and in the egg menu, an element filter) would be useful. Either automatically set to friend gifts or to an ‘all’ category. If you don’t have the sub-menus, then add a confirm option to starting XP boosts; I’ve had 10 or 11 total in the past, now have none, and only chose to start 2. The others were all accidentally started, because the game lagged while I was clearing gift notifications.

Dear DECA, Please can we not have confusing dragons on the in-game notices for things like twin weekend and dragons' week? I'm trying to get untraited Dargon at the moment so was excited to see it was available... only to discover it isn't.
Dear DECA, Please can we not have confusing dragons on the in-game notices for things like twin weekend and dragons' week? I'm trying to get untraited Dargon at the moment so was excited to see it was available... only to discover it isn't.
I was confused too why Dargon was on the loading screen... if it wasn't one of the ones available.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.
I want to give my share on each of these:
Nonstop Events and Dragon Week: I agree with the idea of proposing Dragon Week during times when we don't have an event. It would be much more useful and prevents the players from having to decide whether to breed for the event dragons or the DW dragons.
Nonstop Events: Though I am overall fine with the three-day grace period between events (as for no EC collecting), I would like to see it extended to a week instead, for players to take a breather and focus on expanding rather than EC.
Also, another thing that is mentioned is to add less dragons. And I agree; recently we have been having 7-9 new dragons released per event, on average. As of right now, our biggest events (notably Whitbee's Candy Bash, the Christmas events, and the Easter/St. Patrick's Day events) have a TON of dragons in them, possibly even 100 or more. Limiting the releases would allow players to get the new dragons for less total EC, and could allow more time for limited-tiers.
For example, instead of releasing three dragons at the start, you could only release two - one fan-inspired dragon, and one DECA-made dragon. For the limited tier, cutting it down from 4 to 2 dragons would add an extra week and give players a better opportunity to breed the dragon before it leaves.
Purple Fire and Traited Galaxies: Overall, I understand why purple fire would be difficult. It's supposed to be a challenge to get every single dragon with a trait. the issue is, as mentioned, certain traits can only be obtained via Egg of Mystery, which are only available at specific times. It would be beneficial to make these eggs permanent, as it would help with that progress.
The only other thing I would change is to get rid of the requirement to have blue fire before getting purple fire...
Twin Rift-Exclusives: One thing I would like to see return is the ability to have twin rift-exclusive dragons. Though you are unable to get them the typical way from the Co-op Breeding Cave, I get them often from Eggs of Mystery. Every time I do get a rift-exclusive from them, I get disappointed as they are unable to be twinned. I feel like being able to recieve a twin rift-exclusive from an EOM would be nice to limit that dissapointment.
The sole downside is that having this change could upset the very few people who did manage to get a twin Rift Primary dragon from Roar of the Rift.
Ts'aishen: I agree that there should be more changes in store for the dragon to make him more useful. Though the essence price was reduced by 25% about a year ago, Ts'aishen's power is still a burden when it comes to price. And as mentioned, when you have so big of a park yet so little time, it would be even more useful to use the dragon's power a bit more easily. On top of that, the cost of activating his power makes it very difficult to power up Ts'aishen due to the extreme cost of increasing his power by a level.
So, here's my opinion on a change for Ts'aishen that would make it better for everyone: Once per day (at each daily reset), the player is able to activate Ts'aishen's power for free to collect from all habitats. Each use after the first would cost Abundant Essence, starting at a cost of 500 and increasing by 250 after each consecutive use. As a result the daily price of Ts'aishen would look like this: Free, 500, 750, 1,000, 1250, etc.The price would reset after the typical daily reset time. This would both create convenience for players who may not be able to play as often, make it easier to power up Ts'aishen, while also balancing the potential exploit of T'aishen's bonus DragonCash ability.
Racetrack: I don't know what happened with the Dragon Track. When I first played DragonVale back in 2018, I remembered that the Dragon Track used to be challenging when you used a rare/hybrid dragon, but possible to win. Now, the only way to win by using a non-epic dragon is by
(I have this spoiler tagged in case people don't want to know). Even if you get all perfects, you can no longer win by using a rare/hybrid dragon unless you utilize that method, which takes a lot of practice. Please revert it to how it was before... I would love to race my favorite dragons again.
Off to the Races: One of the most nostalgic things to me was the Off to the Races events in which Backflip held a long time ago. However, since DECA took over, there hasn't been one of these mini events, and I have longed to eventually see it resume once more. Double the daily races, better rewards, AND the possibility of getting a random dragon egg from a race chest... I remember when I get my first Ovalith dragon from the Dragon Track during this event. I want it back, no matter what it would take.
And finally, gift menu: I do agree with wanting to have a confirm to use an EXP boost. There are other things I would like to see too on the Gifts menu:
Have the ability to hide items in your gifts menu. This would not only limit the lag for some who have a literal million twins in their gifts (adlerist has the best example of this), but it would also make the gift menu more convenient for players who have gifts in which they cannot claim (i.e. exp boosts for level 170 parks or eggs that require a higher level)
Sorting Feature. Being able to sort your gifts by type (twin, friend gift, other), name, and element would make it the gift menu much easier to navigate through.
Incubate Twins feature. If there is a TON of twins in your gifts and you have spare nursery room, you should be able to fill up the empty spaces in your Nursery with the touch of a button. The twins put into the Nursery will be in the order of your gifts menu.
Make 'Visit Random Park' actually visit a random park again!!!! I want to see the efforts of the whole DV community!
