Do you think DECA would ever consider/be able to implement a skip tutorial feature? I just accidentally loaded into one of the default parks that was created when I had to reinstall the game, and it took 20 minutes to get through that tutorial (skipping everything I could with gems obviously) because of how extremely long it takes for the market to open every single time the wizards forces you to go into the market.
I think I read a comment about it somewhere but can't remember the response.
Edit: Aaaaaand I did it again... darn my klutziness. Here we go again then...

Vouch! I know what I'm doing DECA 😆 You don't need to tell me how to get to the mini games.

I actually find the event tutorial to be okay. It's definitely irritating going through it 6 times every event, but I brought that on myself 🤣 But in all of my parks it takes ~4-5 minutes to go into the market and then into the specific section of the market, so the introduction takes forever. Another annoying thing was the Rift in my small parks, and not even the original tutorial - every time you level up until about level 36 you get a tutorial showing you a new Rift primary. Since I don't even develop the Rift, it was annoying going through the ~5 minute tutorial about 8 times in three parks each, when I'd rather just be continuing whatever I was doing before. But if DECA could, giving the option to turn off specific tutorials in the option menu (which can be accessed as soon as you start a new park) would be amazingly awesome.
I think I remembered the comment about it that I saw - that they were worried people might accidentally turn tutorials off when they wanted them. I had an idea - years ago I used to play a game called Simpsons Tapped Out where there was an option to store all decorations and buildings and if you attempted to use this option it would ask you about 6 times if you were sure. I think the final confirm box was something like 'We mean it this time, this is your final FINAL warning, do you really want to store everything?!' Each confirm option was funny so it took away from the annoyingness of having to confirm lots of times. 6 times might be unnecessary but there could be more than the usual just 1 confirm option, to make sure the player DEFINITELY wanted to turn tutorials off. That would avoid the worry about accidentally turning them off. Edit: and obviously, there is the option to turn them back on again in the same part of the Options menu, in case someone changes their mind.

I believed Deca looked into skipping the tutorial, but it’s hardcoded, so it will likely be too time-consuming to change. Also, only players creating additional parks will want to skip the tutorial, so it’s a low number of players and parks, and only occurs once.

Skipping the event tutorial is still on the rep’s list of requests.

Since this was being discussed in the discord, a pedestal storage would be greatly appreciated. Pedestals get their own category within the Dragonarium and don't fall under "usual" decorations. Storage Tower serves its purpose but unfortunately, with nearly 800 dragons now, pedestals take up too much space. So a storage that's dedicated to pedestals would be very useful
(Quick mockup/edit because I enjoy making them for my ideas)
I wrote up this idea and submitted it to Deca on Monday when the Discord discussion was live. But the concept was a little different.
Worms suggested a gigantic (egg-normous) refrigerator to store the pedestals. So that’s the recommendation I passed on to Deca. ‼️🥚‼️
I had proposed a large bookcase so players could still see the eggs. They’d be on display but stacked so they won’t take up as much room. Players would be able to buy multiple bookcases. I envisioned the refrigerator in the same way, as a display case.
I’m not against hiding them like the dragon’s Hibernation Cave, if the display is not possible or too much work.
A FB player (I don’t know their name, Calli the FB rep, posted the request) suggested shelves in the new School deco to display evolve decorations — brilliant! This is along the same idea.
The other day, I was discussing the collection of twin pedestals with Atom on Discord. I mentioned that I don’t collect all four versions anymore because there’s not enough land. Atom is quickly running into this problem. Anyhow, that’s why the pedestal storage conversation came up. And when Worm mentioned the eggs-traordinary refrigerator, I thought it was both genius and hilarious.

I’m all for any form of pedestal storage, but I really like the idea of a more display-like storage ‘building’. Something like a curio cabinet I can visit to see them all and flip through shelves. Like a pedestal museum. Or habitat-like bookcases for pedestals - the cold element bookcase, the sun element bookcase etc… But that also sounds like a TONNE of work and a new mechanic, which might produce a flat ‘nope’ from the Deca team. I just hope Deca addresses this as an issue at some point. I’d love to clean up my islands and stop cramming pedestals wherever they’ll fit. It’s hard to enjoy them.
I think DECA has said they're planning a Dragonarium rework (though I thought it was said in the AMA and I can't find it). One thing I think would be really cool would be a reorganisation of the Celebration category of Decorations. The main thing would be to move all the evo decos into their own Evolution category as ten decos each for the majority of evo dragons is over a hundred decorations. Also, separate out things like Winter, Vernal, Circus/School, Halloween (Halloween already has Spooky but I think some are repeated). Might it get to the point where the 'Celebration' category is no longer needed? Possibly, I'm not sure if there are any decos in there that won't fit into one of the new categories. But separating most/all of the decos out into their own categories would be sooooo much better. At the moment it's a mishmash of loads of different categories so will soon be reaching 400 decorations, which makes it incredibly hard to navigate and effectively pointless since it doesn't much decrease from the number of decos in the All category. Since there are currently a lot of decos that only belong to Celebration, it needs to be easier to use.
If an evolution category was made for the decos it would be cool if there was a sub-category for each type (e.g. Poinsettias, Tendrils of Wrath, Om of Noms decos) as that would make it a thousand times easier to work out if you have all the required evo decos. At the moment the only way to list them is alphabetically, not by type. You can sort by amount owned but that still lists them alphabetically in each number. It would also then be great if there was an Evolution category added to Special, though that might not be as pressing.
While I'm discussing the Dragonarium I think it would be absolutely awesome if a non-epic element filter was added to the All Dragons section. At the moment there is no way to find all dragons that have the plant element - only the permanent hybrids (and Nightbloom) - unless you have all of them and at least one of each species is not in the Hibernation Cave, since then you can use the Racetrack or the Breeding Cave to see.
There are a lot of suggestions I have for the Dragonarium but these would probably be the main ones, at least category-wise. If I was right that DECA's already considering a Dragonarium rework, would there be any point in making a post for all the things I'd like to see reworked? Or are they already past the planning stage?
Cherrie's quest Merry Cherry never got the Plant element added to it. The elements associated with epic dragon quests aren't consistent (some have just the shown element, some have shown + hidden, some have just hidden) but in my experience if a dragon has a shown epic and shown primary element, both are shown on its quest. Can Cherrie's quest be updated to include Plant?
Also: Do you think DECA would decrease the hitbox of the Cherry Tree? I don't mean the fact it's 3x3 (even though it should be 2x2), I mean the fact that if you tap anywhere within the general area that a Cherry Tree is the game selects the tree, even if your tap wasn't anywhere near it. It's getting on my nerves... And I'm only one island 1 of 5. 😔
And talking of sizes... Is there even the slightest chance DECA might ever make islands symmetrical? I think I saw a comment that it wasn't possible but... The asymmetry... It's actually driving me insane... I just went back and fourth three times seeing if something I'd already tried would work, that's literally the definition of insanity... Help 😭 In all seriousness though, Decorators Week has told me one thing: Symmetrical islands need to be a thing. I enjoy decorating up to a point... That point being when I can't even get the tiniest resemblance of symmetry. It's making me want to cry. I hate it.

Cherrie had the plant element added at the end of the event and it was never confirmed that Plant was added to the quest. Have you had the quest that showed the plant element - or have you noticed that it is missing on the Quests page?
The column for excluded elements never used to be there. A quest box can only show four elements so, I think the extra element is to show the extra element if it is a five element dragon - like Gatren, but also if it is an Epic - Gemstone or Galaxy but only the elements are showing on the quest box.
I'm sorry to say you'll probably have to learn to live with the asymmetrical islands.

As far as I know, Deca is not planning on reworking the Dragonarium. They may make some additions or changes, but I don’t know if it’ll be an overhaul with new filters and reorganising everything. One of the reps, Tayzers, is looking at the Decoration section, but Deca has not confirmed they’re working on decorations.

Several years ago, Nagini requested on this thread that epic quests should have the epic element instead of the primary elements. At the time, epic quests displayed the dragon’s hidden elements. But this wasn’t helpful because players do not have the hidden elements memorised. I suggested the idea to Deca and the other Game Reps fully supported it — they were instrumental in getting the changes implemented.
When Deca updated the quests, two people may have worked on the project (?), because half the epic quests now have the epic element only, and the other half have the epic and hidden elements.
We also discovered problems with the quest rewards. They’re not paying out correctly for quests with just the epic element on it. Therefore, until this is fixed, we’ve advised Deca to not convert the remaining epic quests to the epic element only.
This is obviously not a high priority. It’s on the list, but we have no idea if/when the epic quests will be updated so they’re all similar.
I can ask for the plant element to be added to Cherrie’s quest.
The Cherry Blossom Tree was worked on two years ago. Calli requested its footprint be minimised, per her FB group. And to everyone’s elation, Deca did it! That may be why it’s getting in the way.
Symmetrical islands have been requested a lot on Reddit. Unfortunately, Deca has said no.

The problem with the cherry tree is it selects itself even if your tap is nowhere near it. It's not that the pink bit is in front of what I want to select, it's that anything in the vague vicinity of said cherry tree can't be selected. I'll get a screenshot at some point

I understand what you’re saying. I was explaining why the Cherry Blossom Tree may have such a large selection area.
So, I just tested out the tree in my park. It seems that its large size is the problem. If you tap the footprint, it will of course trigger the selection. And if you tap around the circumference of the tree it will as well. Most of the decorations are like this; it’s just more prominent with the tree due to its considerable dimensions.
I can ask Deca to look into it, but I’m not sure if they’ll isolate the selection to only a portion of the tree because that could cause problems for other players. And unfortunately, the tree likely won’t be considered a priority since they already worked on it, and there haven’t been other complaints.

I stopped collecting twin and traited pedestals a long time ago because they take up so much space. If I happen to get them I’ll keep them but I don’t try for any pedestals except the regular version, and that’s just to be sure Pedestals is gold in the Dragonarium.
Would it be possible to have a "celebration" filter in the decoration market and dragonarium... it's toooo tedious to scroll through all the decorations to find a celebration decoration? Thank you very much for repeating this request to DECA. The number of celebration decorations can justify this modification even if until now DECA refused it!

I Hope !!! I had a sore arm from navigating through the decorations!!!
So during Decorator's Week, I found something which got me a bit on my nerves, and that is the fact that the Garden's Gate decoration is a 3x2 while the hedges are a 1x1. As a result, the Garden's Gate sticks out an extra tile, which is a bit annoying to me. I would love to see the footprint of the decoration to be decreased from 3x2 to 3x1, primarily to keep in line with the hedges.
