I mean, it’d make my life easier and the whole RAD team’s lives easier, if we didn’t have to do RAD anymore.
Not sure if Deca would want the extra work though. Deca did use the Poll Plaza in their early years for weekly quizzes. We used to post the answers on the event thread. It was similar to what Backflip did. But they stopped a while ago. It likely was too much work coming up with the riddles.
There's a lot of effort and outreach for RAD every week in the FB communities and Discord. But it's very difficult to get people to post their feedback. There needs to be an incentive, and we don't have anything to offer except the awards, which really only has value to members.
I imagine there are quite a few Reddit users who would like to share their feedback. I did consider asking whether we should post about the RAD threads there last event, but forgot to.
There are often feedback posts posted on Reddit (just general feedback rather than about dragons, although sometimes it is about dragons), and in general it looks like most of the subreddit's users aren't aware of the forum's existence, so advertising the RAD threads on the subreddit could also just bring people to the forum generally.
I think most Redditors know we exist. They may not have much use for us, but they know we're here. The problem with RAD is convincing people to take the time and rate dragons when they can more easily not do that. Personally, I’m not really keen on creating a Reddit post every week for RAD. But it is something the RAD team can discuss.

After the event concludes all the Zodiacs will be released. As a result, I have seen multiple players across Reddit and Discord discuss an idea which I actually enjoy...
Why not put the Zodiac Dragons on calendar release schedules?
Just like the birthstone dragons, each zodiac dragon would be available to breed during the time the stars are aligned to the zodiac sign:
Aquarian - available from January 20th to Feburary 18th
Pisceian - available from Feburary 19th to March 20th
Ariesian - available from March 21st to April 19th
Taurian - available from April 20th to May 20th
Geminian - available from May 21st to June 20th
Cansian - available from June 21st to July 22nd
Leonian - available from July 23rd to August 22nd
Virgoian - available from August 23rd to September 22nd
Librian - available from September 23rd to October 22nd
Scorpionian - available from October 23rd to November 21st
Sagittarian - available from November 22nd to December 21st
Capricornian - available from December 21st to January 19th
All - During camping events
It has been a long time since a dragon had a calandar-style availability, and DECA has never released a dragon which had a scheduled release time. The Zodiac element dragons are perfect for a calandar schedule - they are almost screaming to be available during their zodiac alignment. Players too, pyself included, really enjoy the idea as it would make DV a little more interesting.
There is one downside to this, however, which is that a good chunk of Zodiacs have parents which can only be obtained from the camping events. As a result, for players to be able to breed them year-round, it is recommended to make them have combos with permanent dragons.
But you know what dragons are perfect as parents for zodiac dragons? Galaxy dragons! The parents would still be a tad difficult to obtain due to being locked to the co-op, although they are permanent, allowing players to breed zodiacs as long as they have obtained the affiliated galaxy dragon.
Here's my examples for new breeding combos:
Capricornian: PROCYON + earth; hidden elements of earth, lightning, water and metal
Aquarian: LUNIS + air; no hidden element change
Pisceian: ANDROMEDAN + water; hidden elements of plant, cold, earth and water
Ariesian: No change (SOLARFLARE + fire); hidden elements decrease to just fire, earth, light and dark
Taurian: TEIDIAN + earth; hidden elements of fire, earth, lightning and metal
Geminian: BIZURIAN + air; hidden elements of cold, lightning, air and dark
Cansian: SORARIAN + water; hidden elements of plant, water, metal and light
Leonian: SOLIS + fire; hidden elements of fire, earth, lightning and light
After the event concludes all the Zodiacs will be released. As a result, I have seen multiple players across Reddit and Discord discuss an idea which I actually enjoy...

I did a poll on Reddit and of the 200-and-something people who responded, the overwhelming majority wanted the Zodiacs to be released outside of events on their dates. There was some difference on whether or not they should show up in events/DWs but by far the most popular response (nearly 90) was to have them in all three.
I definitely don't think galaxies should be used in their combos unless there is an easier way to get traited versions. Most of the combos would be fine as they are as long as their required parent was also available when they are. Since all Zodiacs only have one required parent, at most that would be one extra limited besides the Zodiac (and a few combos already use permanent dragons).
I like the idea of the Zodiac dragons being released on their Zodiac cycle as suggested.
With the number of dragons appearing in events now (and forever growing), it could be twelve dragons that could be kept out of the event market. But I would like them kept in Dragons Week, as well as any limited dragon that is needed to bred them.
I'm sorry Arceus, I don't like the idea of giving the Zodiac dragons a Galaxy dragon as a parent. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, there is no guaranteed way to get a traited galaxy dragon, so until Deca address this, Galaxy dragons should not be used in a breeding combo.
Speaking of the elephant in the room, I've had an idea for the dreaded Traited Galaxies in the back of my mind for a while and recently tried fleshing it out. I doubt I'm the first one to think of it but I don't think I've seen it mentioned here (certainly not recently): what are people's thoughts on a Rift Co-Op cave?
Here are my (rambly) thoughts:
General
Unlocked at level 28 along with the Rift generally. Either already present in the Rift when it’s unlocked (could be attached to the portal island), uncovered from miasma during the tutorial (might be difficult due to people who already have the Rift so there might be a habitat where the Co-Op cave was placed), hidden in the Rift (same issue) or a building you buy for etherium (if this is the case then it shouldn’t be too expensive, definitely no more than 10k etherium but preferably no more than 5k at the most). Usual chances to get traits of one parent/the other/alignment/no trait. I'm not sure about the prices for breeding – I personally think they could maybe be slightly higher than the normal Rift cave prices but not stupidly high, especially since the player has to choose between breeding in the normal cave a lot, the Co-Op cave a lot, or in both but not quite as much.
To put a dragon up for Rift Co-Op there is a second heart on the dragon’s profile, only present if the dragon is compatible with the Rift Co-Op cave. To mark it out from the normal Co-Op heart, there is a purple border (the normal Co-Op heart has a blue border).
Possible Co-Op Dragons
It’s only possible to put Rift-exclusives or traited Galaxies up (this could also include a category for "new releases that haven’t been breedable with their combos yet", though that would be very situational as it would require someone to have got it from EoM or RBCs so that might be too much extra work/coding for something that won’t be used much). All other traited versions have relatively reasonable ways of getting them (compared to Galaxies anyway), so they aren't as important to put in Rift Co-Op.
HOWEVER, all usual dragons can result from the combo (e.g. if you’re trying to clone Alpenglow, Sand can be a result) so it’s not just guaranteed cloning. The limitations on what can be cloned is effectively to avoid a completely new Co-Op cave that basically works exactly the same as the first one; the Rift Co-Op cave is primarily a source of 1) the type of dragon that is currently impossible to Co-Op clone (Rifts) and 2) the type of dragon that is currently way too hard to get traited versions of (Galaxies).
One problem I thought of with the limitations is that that would probably mean it’s also only possible to breed with a Rift-exclusive/traited Galaxy so you’d be adding unnecessary elements into the mix. There could be some way around this (i.e. you can only choose to put up one of those two types of dragons but you can breed with any), but if there isn’t, it isn’t a massive problem since adding elements into the mix doesn’t actually decrease parent cloning odds (according to the Compendium).
Twins
Could twins be a possibility? That would then mean it’s possible to get twin versions of Rift-exclusives, so that would add twin Rift-exclusives to the requirement for blue fire, and also possibly a fourth type of fire (maybe a mixture of purple and blue, or a particularly sparkly version of blue/purple) for getting all twin-Rifts. I'm not sure how people who are already trying for blue/purple fire would feel about that – too much or a fun extra challenge? I know some people use EoMs/RBCs to get twin-Rifts anyway, so this could be useful for them.
Though it did just occur to me that with the limitations I gave, it wouldn't be possible to get most dragons from the Rift Co-Op cave, since even though non-Rift-exclusives, non-traited-Galaxies can be a result, a lot of them have two specific dragons in their combo. (DECA could just ignore the limitations but I figured without them it might be considered too overpowered.) I guess if Twin-Rifts was a fourth kind of fire and Rift Co-Op had no limitations then there's more incentive to use it even after you've got all traited Galaxies, which could encourage etherium purchases.
NPC dragon
Just like the normal Co-Op cave, there is an NPC whose traited galaxy cycles, possibly following the same cycle as the normal Co-Op cave (i.e. when the normal cave has Polarian, the Rift cave has a traited Polarian). I would like to request however that the NPC’s traited galaxy should be at least level 11 since it’s harder to get higher-level dragons in the Rift. Also, it would be great if it was coded into the dragon that if a player didn’t yet have a certain trait on that Galaxy, that trait is selected (e.g. if a player had every trait for Polarian except fire and earth, the trait of the NPC’s Polarian would be fire or earth).
When events are on, if there’s a dragon that requires a dragon that’s hard to get traited due to having a closed combo for example (e.g. Stella requiring Starwing or Delicia requiring Glimmerwing) then another NPC can have that dragon up, just like how the normal Co-Op cave has an event dragon.
To keep in line with the lore of houses being associated with the Rift, the permanent NPC could change depending on the chosen house (i.e. Hidden Bolt would get Whitbee, Iron Blossom would get Gardenia, etc..). The dragon wouldn't change but the NPC would. Not a major thing but a nice detail in my opinion.

Unfortunately, I don’t see a Rift Cooperative Cave in the near future. It would be a lot of work for Deca to develop and provide little revenue in return. Nevertheless, I appreciate the time it took to write this, and I’m not dismissing your idea, just letting you know the probability is low.
One of the challenges with the Rift is that the player is on their own. They have to breed all the dragons solo without help from friends. I think many players accept this challenge. It’s just when traited dragons cannot be obtained (except through mystery eggs that provide endless duplicates or selecting the traited dragon from the daily prizes one year later when the event returns) that it becomes a glaring problem.

Here's my examples for new breeding combos:
Capricornian: PROCYON + earth; hidden elements of earth, lightning, water and metal
Aquarian: LUNIS + air; no hidden element change
Pisceian: ANDROMEDAN + water; hidden elements of plant, cold, earth and water
Ariesian: No change (SOLARFLARE + fire); hidden elements decrease to just fire, earth, light and dark
Taurian: TEIDIAN + earth; hidden elements of fire, earth, lightning and metal
Geminian: BIZURIAN + air; hidden elements of cold, lightning, air and dark
Cansian: SORARIAN + water; hidden elements of plant, water, metal and light
Leonian: SOLIS + fire; hidden elements of fire, earth, lightning and light
WICK + air + dark (metal hidden element is removed)
Scorpionian: CHITIN + water + air (plant element replaced by metal; dark element is added)
Sagittarian: INFERNO + fire + light
As I mentioned before, Deca was thinking about various ideas for the Zodiac dragons when they first developed the element last year. One of the suggestions from the reps was to release them during their respective months, similar to the Gemstone dragons. When all the Zodiac dragons have been released after this event, Deca may decide whether the dragons will be event-only, on a limited calendar release, or both. But they have been aware of these ideas and options since last year.
Thank you for the breeding combo suggestions. But I doubt Deca will change the breeding hints for the Zodiac dragons. I also can’t see the reps approving the concept because we’ve had discussions about this in the past. Changing breeding combos will only complicate the Zodiac element and the game. As a general rule, breeding hints should not be altered, unless it is completely necessary for the dragon/event, or unavoidable to maintain DV.

This was the reason why I suggested the alternative combos, since having Galaxy parents makes it too difficult for the Rift. Ariesian is hard enough as-is.

That's a shame, but thanks for letting me know.
I've never really thought about the Rift like that but that makes sense to see it that way, and I get why people might not want that to change. (It would be optional of course though, so people could just choose not to use it, though I guess it still changes the in-game lore/understanding of the Rift to an extent.)
Well then, my vote's back to guaranteed new traited galaxies from EoM and wishing for traited dragons. We can hope! 😂 (Think if we put out extra eucalyptus leaves for the koalas, they'll help us out? 🌿🌿🌿)
Do you think DECA could/would implement a feature where the player can choose what music they listen to in-game, regardless of twilight tower theme?
Most themes seem to have at least two or three different "songs" they cycle through but it would be cool if you could either choose to listen to/turn off certain soundtracks from a theme or just listen to whatever soundtracks you like regardless of what your twilight tower theme is.
E.g. 1 I like a lot of Dusk's music but there is one that (even on the lowest volume) is stupidly loud whenever it comes on, and I'd rather not have to hear the first two seconds of it before entering the Dragonarium to change the music (which sometimes doesn't work anyway since it's the same piece once I've left). So it would be cool if I could choose to listen to every Dusk soundtrack apart from that one.
E.g. 2 I really like the Astral theme but its music is so loud and I don't like playing in silence so I can't use the Astral theme. With the second option I suggested I could for example use the Astral theme but have Star Fall's music playing.

If the Astral theme is too loud you can turn down the music. Under Options, there’s a 🎵 with a volume slider that adjusts only the music. Other sound effects in the game are not altered.

That's what I meant by lowest volume. Even with the volume on low in-game and on my device, I find it too loud. (However, I have quite sensitive hearing, so I know the majority of people aren't going to be as affected as I am.)

When I move the 🎵 (music) volume slider all the way down, the music is not audible. I don’t have poor hearing, usually, people tell me it’s quite good. The other sound effects are still audible, but there is no music. You can also tap the 🎵 icon and it will mute the music.
I just tested the Astral theme, and I was able to adjust the volume of the music and mute it. I also tested this on an Android device to see if there was an issue with the platform, but it worked on Android too.
Perhaps there's a problem with your device. But outside of uninstalling / reinstalling the app, I don't have a suggestion for a fix.

I know I can just turn it all the way off, but I don't want to. I like the music and want to listen to music while I play. I just find it too loud, which is why I don't use that theme, and why I made my original suggestion.

That’s why I suggested using the volume slider to turn the music down a little. If the slider doesn’t work, there may be a problem with the game on your device.

It does work. I already mentioned that using the slider to turn it all the way down - or basically all the way down - doesn't help.
I get that I can turn it ALL the way off but I don't want to do that like I said as I like playing with music. If I turn it basically all the way down but not so that it becomes silent (i.e. lowest possible volume that isn't silent), and have my actual device on the lowest possible (non-silent) volume, I still find certain things (like the two DV tracks I mentioned in my original comment) to be too loud.
I'm not saying the slider doesn't work - it does - just that there are some DV tracks that for me don't have anything between silent and too loud, even if I put both the game and my device on the lowest possible non-silent volume they can be.
Hope this clears things up 😅

I know it's a little early to be talking about the next island addition, but would it be reasonable (or just silly 🤣) to ask DECA whether they could specifically add 4 huge trees to the next island they release? That goal is the only one that's not possible to complete for people who had already bought and cleared all the islands when the goals were added, and I know some people would appreciate being able to complete the goal as soon as the next island is added.
Either that or DECA could remove/change the goal, but I'm guessing some people have already completed it, so that might not be possible.
Bit of an out-there suggestion but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask whether DECA might consider this.

Also, 50 gems as a gift?! Thank you DECA! Happy anniversary everyone 🎉

Quick idea I had. Not really important and just for more aesthetic reasons. 😆 We have skybox and weather changing buildings, but I think a season building would be neat. Locks a certain season in so you can decorate a seasonal themed island without the fear of it changing every few months.
Also I wish we had more season form changing in dragons. Nothing crazy like Seasonal but maybe some have a summer vs winter form. Wishful thinking, but I miss the lil details like that.

Dear DECA,
Thank you for making the Om of Noms event calmer than the last one. It's a nice break. 😴
I'd absolutely love it if a "build another" option could be added to habitats. I am currently in the process of making my first DC Farm - the Overgrown Island with Idens, Niamhs, Nacres and Rainbows around the edge. Since I have plenty of habitat capacity, I decided to go with small Rainbow habitats - coming to (if memory of my planning serves me correctly) over 70 habitats. It's a real pain to have to open the market every time - I timed it and on average it's taken almost a minute per habitat so far, meaning it'll be just shy of an hour overall, just for the Rainbow habitats. I don't have a huge amount of time to play, so I've been gradually chipping away at it every now and then, but it's very tedious. It would be great if I could just buy another of the same habitat while in the main park.

I was looking at the money earned from collecting the daily flag bearers in the park and I really think 100,000 is way too low. I understand for beginner players it’s a lot but when ur maxed out, with islands now costing 5000000000+ it doesn’t seem enough. I was wondering if maybe it could be tied into levels- beginners it’s 100000, and then as you go up, then so does money earned? Doesn’t have to be ridiculous but even if it was 1 000 000, it’s still a drop in the ocean. I’m now at the point where outside of events, I don’t bother trying to find them- an added incentive of finding A gem isn’t enough to keep me looking for them.
Just copying this from another area I posted it. I hope it can happen in time for the Winter Event!
I have some requests for the next event (Christmas one), if it's possible to ask Deca to consider.
1.) Could we either increase the amount of omnitats we can purchase, or increase the dragon capacity for omnitats? 2.) Could we make it so that the Snowflake habitats can also house dragons with a cold element? The snowflake habitats are gorgeous, and also so large, but can only house 7 dragons. Would love it if I could house all cold element dragons in those habitats. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!

Thank you so much for your consideration!
I already made these requests, Hetchy. I recommended them for the upcoming winter event. Since you didn’t have numbers, this is what I suggested: Regular Omnitat - 6 dragons, 2 million DC; Large Omnitat - 7 dragons, 3 million DC; or increase Ominitat limit from 12 to 14. And add cold to the permanent Snowflake Habitats (not the Snowflake Reward Habitat). Hope you don’t mind that I excluded the the Reward Habitat. It seemed like having one habitat dedicated to the Snowflakes might help with adding cold to the regular habitats.
No promises that any of this will be included. Deca will need to look at the impact on the game, and if this is something that works for them.
