I was looking at the money earned from collecting the daily flag bearers in the park and I really think 100,000 is way too low. I understand for beginner players it’s a lot but when ur maxed out, with islands now costing 5000000000+ it doesn’t seem enough. I was wondering if maybe it could be tied into levels- beginners it’s 100000, and then as you go up, then so does money earned? Doesn’t have to be ridiculous but even if it was 1 000 000, it’s still a drop in the ocean. I’m now at the point where outside of events, I don’t bother trying to find them- an added incentive of finding A gem isn’t enough to keep me looking for them.
I like this idea! Deca did increase the amount for the banner bearers several years ago. It was 10,000 DC under Backflip. I haven’t searched for them in many, many years. It truly is not worth the time when you have a large park. Since the banner bearers are obtained by elders, new players likely won’t have them, so I don’t think their reward needs to be tied to park levels. That could make it more complicated to raise. Just an increase to 500,000 - 1,000,000 DC would help a ton!

Due to a potential limit on the number of friends a player can have before issues arise in the game, I will only be able to add Forum members. Thank you, for your understanding, and please consider joining us!
Just copying this from another area I posted it. I hope it can happen in time for the Winter Event!
I have some requests for the next event (Christmas one), if it's possible to ask Deca to consider.
1.) Could we either increase the amount of omnitats we can purchase, or increase the dragon capacity for omnitats? 2.) Could we make it so that the Snowflake habitats can also house dragons with a cold element? The snowflake habitats are gorgeous, and also so large, but can only house 7 dragons. Would love it if I could house all cold element dragons in those habitats. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!
Thank you so much for your consideration!
I already made these requests, Hetchy. I recommended them for the upcoming winter event. Since you didn’t have numbers, this is what I suggested: Regular Omnitat - 6 dragons, 2 million DC; Large Omnitat - 7 dragons, 3 million DC; or increase Ominitat limit from 12 to 14. And add cold to the permanent Snowflake Habitats (not the Snowflake Reward Habitat). Hope you don’t mind that I excluded the the Reward Habitat. It seemed like having one habitat dedicated to the Snowflakes might help with adding cold to the regular habitats.
No promises that any of this will be included. Deca will need to look at the impact on the game, and if this is something that works for them.
Wow, you already put in the requests? Thank you SO MUCH! That's awesome to hear, and you did a great job with the suggested numbers too. I hope they will consider it! I appreciate you!

thanks Adlerist 😊 it really would help- and like you- I have a huge park. I’ve got all the islands bar this one that’s been released with the extravaganza and it’s just not worth the time hunting for them. I just end up collecting them if I come across them during events but at the current prices it’s just not worth the time. Or the collecting hats from friends parks! 🤣
This is a request for an option to stop dragon animation. Now that we are over 800 dragons, the game is eating up more and more device resources. Being able to temporarily turn off dragon animation would be great!
Something I think would be great for Deca to add: notifications for when a dragon you voted for in the Dragon Draw is up for the draw. Countless times, a dragon I’ve wanted has been about 5 or 10 slots away, and I’ll think “ok I’ll come back in about half an hour to check if it’s up for draw”, then I’ll get side tracked and forget. Notifications would help tremendously with that!

This is a great idea. I would also like this. I try and check Dragon Draw a couple of time a day to see if there is a dragon in the draw that I need. I only vote for dragons that I need with a trait, so a reasonably small number of dragons.
I don't know how easy it would be for Deca to implement a notification system and it may not be workable for players that vote for all (or very many) dragons.
Very small but brought up a lot, not sure if someone already asked here however please make the newer ornamentals change the ornamental habitat! It's always sad to see the state it's in with the newer ones. I assume it's lower on the priority list but if Cold was added to the Snowflake hab then I might as well bring it up again.
I really wish we saw more habitat changes with which certain dragons are in it.
A bit on the more wilder suggestion side but a dragon that changes forms when another certain dragon species is housed with it together in a habitat would be fun to see 🤭

I'd love it if there was an option to turn the 'hold down on an item to select it' mechanic off. My park is tremendously laggy already despite trying everything I can to decrease it, so when I'm moving decorations etc. around it's really annoying that the game interprets me dragging along the screen as selecting an item - then the thing I'm moving goes back to where it came from and the game takes ten seconds to select the new item I didn't want to select. Then it takes another ten seconds to get back to the item I'm actually trying to move, then rinse and repeat...

A random idea I just had for a way to make it easier to get traited dragons. A habitat in the Rift designed for untraited dragons bred in the Rift, possibly attached to the Rift cave.
It only holds a small number of dragons (maybe 1-3?), but perhaps it can be upgraded for a large amount of etherium. If you place an untraited dragon in there after breeding it, it will stay in there for a while (1-2 days perhaps? With a longer amount of time depending on whether it's common, rare, epic, or gemstone?) and at the end of the process will have a trait (from my understanding of the Rift's lore, the Rift's chaos magic gradually affecting normal dragons is why we have traited dragons in the first place, so it makes sense that keeping untraited dragons in the Rift outside of the protection of the hibernation cave would gradually result in them becoming traited). The small number of dragons and reasonably long length of time is to avoid abusing the mechanic and force people to choose which dragons to go through this mechanic wisely. When the dragon receives a trait, it receives the trait of the current alignment.
Thoughts? Good/bad idea? Would DECA even consider it?
Edit to add: there could also be a similar habitat attached to the Rift portal in the main park which gradually removes a trait from a dragon, but I'm not sure if that works as well with the lore - and since (in my experience anyway) there seems to be more people wishing it was less common to breed untraited dragons in the Rift than traited, that mechanic might not be used as much.

I'm all for any mechanic that allows a better chance of receiving a traited dragon. I like the idea that it has to be done after breeding (rather than sending a dragon from the main Vale) and the change is because the Rift chaos magic which enables an untraited dragon able to be changed to a traited version after a period of time.

Have DECA given any updates on whether it's possible/they're planning to add a sort option to the gifts menu? I keep twins in there because of Donation Board events and just in case I ever do decide to go for blue fire (which is unlikely but never impossible) but it makes looking for RBC claims a pain.

This is the one of the most asked question in any AMAs that Deca run. It would make everyone's life so much easier if we could sort the eggs in our gift menu. Deca have never committed to a time frame of when they might do this or even if they will do this.

Is there any chance the regular Snowflake habitat could have a slight DC cap boost? Nacre is technically a better DC farm dragon than Iden now due to being able to be stored in a high-DC cap habitat, but if my calculations are correct it only takes four Nacres just under an hour and a half to fill up a regular Snowflake habitat. Even the large variant takes under 2 hours. Most people aren't going to be checking in that often, so it's still not really a viable DC farm compared to Iden.
Even if the regular habitat's cap was increased to 1.5 million (which seems pretty reasonable for an epic habitat; 4 dragon cap and 1.5 million DC is the same as a large dream habitat after all) it would take four Nacres slightly over 2 hours to fill it up, which is about 2 times better than it is now.

We can ask. When Deca added the cold element to the Snowflake habitat they probably weren't anticipating players wanting to use the Snowflake habitat as a DC farm. 😉
If the regular Snowflake habitat is boosted to 1.5 million, the large Snowflake habitat which is currently 1.5 million would also need a boost. Dream dragons earn more DC than a Snowflake dragon which is probably why the habitat has a higher cap.
Dear Deca - Please consider a review of max income for the original habitats. Because Plant, Earth , Water, etc habitat incomes are so low, we fill our parks with the more exotic habitats. But as a long time player, I have maxed out Megatats and the others. When comparing 10,000 income to 1,250,000 it’s not hard to choose which to have! But I like the original habs too and want to use them for decorating and for island themes. Thanks for considering this request!

Backflip adjusted the primary habitat caps to a low DC rate because these are the habitats new players acquire first. The habitats don’t earn a lot to encourage frequent logins. This helps with player retention. If Deca raised the DC cap, it would cause an imbalance for new players and allow them to progress faster with minimal logins. As a result, those players would have a lower chance of being retained because they never got into the habit of checking DV regularly. For late gamers, the Plant, Earth, Water, Lightning, and Air habitats are more decorative than income-producing.

Well dang…. That’s so reasonable I can’t even argue with it! Thanks for the explanation (even if I don’t like it).
Is there any chance of an additional filter button for "only" - for example I currently select Plant and Earth and get every dragon that has plant and earth... and light and fire and air - but I want the filter to show me only the dragons that match the elements I have highlighted, with no extra elements added. Is this a thing?

It would be nice if there were more filter options at the breeding caves, Dragon Track, Hibernation Caves, breeding hints, Tiamat, Bahamut, and the Colosseum. It has been suggested. Hopefully, Deca will make the change.
The DV Sandbox and DV Compendium have this feature, so you can quickly list dragons with specific elements.

Hi! I'm sure this has been suggested before but I wanted to request that during events, dragons purchased for EC would follow the same pattern of regular → twin → twin rift. This way it's possible to get the newly released but unbreedable dragons in the Rift without praying for EOM luck. If DECA still wants these dragons to be difficult to obtain they could increase their price with each purchase, a 25% increase or even 50% would make them challenging but rewarding. Plus it would allow for endgame players who have most of the dragons already to have another goal to work towards during events.
A dragon that costs 12000 EC would be 15000 EC for the twin and 18000 EC for the twin rift or 18000 for the twin and 24000 for the twin rift. I know those prices are insane, but it's only meant for players who have very little else to use their EC on and it would only really be for 2-4 dragons every event.

This request has come up fairly frequently, and it's been discussed by the reps. There are problems with letting players buy twins and traited-twins for EC.
Buyable twins and traited dragons would remove a lot of the difficulty in obtaining these dragons, thereby diminishing the achievement of blue and purple fires. It would also encourage more plant breeding, especially with an emulator. And it could reduce the specialness of Twin Weekend, potentially affecting in-app purchases for gems.
For late gamers, there would be no challenge to DV. At the end of each event, we easily have anywhere from 60,000 to 100,000 EC leftover and nothing to buy. If we could purchase the twin and traited-twin versions of dragons, there’s absolutely no reason for us to spend money on the Runic Breeding Caves. And there’s no other feature in the game that entices us to spend.
While it would be great for players if twins and traited dragons could be bought, this could negatively affect the game’s goals, microtransactions, and DragonVale’s game economy and sustainability.
Adding traited-twin dragons to the Wishing Well would address the issue of unbreedable dragons without impacting the game since we're only given three wishes per year. We can't wish for all the traited unbreedable dragons, so the challenge of breeding them or buying Runestones still exists.
