Hi! I'm sure this has been suggested before but I wanted to request that during events, dragons purchased for EC would follow the same pattern of regular → twin → twin rift. This way it's possible to get the newly released but unbreedable dragons in the Rift without praying for EOM luck. If DECA still wants these dragons to be difficult to obtain they could increase their price with each purchase, a 25% increase or even 50% would make them challenging but rewarding. Plus it would allow for endgame players who have most of the dragons already to have another goal to work towards during events.
A dragon that costs 12000 EC would be 15000 EC for the twin and 18000 EC for the twin rift or 18000 for the twin and 24000 for the twin rift. I know those prices are insane, but it's only meant for players who have very little else to use their EC on and it would only really be for 2-4 dragons every event.
This request has come up fairly frequently, and it's been discussed by the reps. There are problems with letting players buy twins and traited-twins for EC.
Buyable twins and traited dragons would remove a lot of the difficulty in obtaining these dragons, thereby diminishing the achievement of blue and purple fires. It would also encourage more plant breeding, especially with an emulator. And it could reduce the specialness of Twin Weekend, potentially affecting in-app purchases for gems.
For late gamers, there would be no challenge to DV. At the end of each event, we easily have anywhere from 60,000 to 100,000 EC leftover and nothing to buy. If we could purchase the twin and traited-twin versions of dragons, there’s absolutely no reason for us to spend money on the Runic Breeding Caves. And there’s no other feature in the game that entices us to spend.
While it would be great for players if twins and traited dragons could be bought, this could negatively affect the game’s goals, microtransactions, and DragonVale’s game economy and sustainability.
Adding traited-twin dragons to the Wishing Well would address the issue of unbreedable dragons without impacting the game since we're only given three wishes per year. We can't wish for all the traited unbreedable dragons, so the challenge of breeding them or buying Runestones still exists.
Alright, that makes sense. In the time since I posted that I thought of a different idea anyway. A legendary dragon for the Co-op Cave that as you level them up with its essence reduces its breed time to max 20% like the other two breeding caves and its 4 day activation forces whatever dragon is currently being bred in the cave to become a twin. At max level it has a passive ability that any twin has a chance of also having the trait of the Rift alignment that day. This chance would be the same chance as the chance of a twin being bred. I know that's been looked into and it's a dynamic percentage rather than a hard-set number, so I can't give an exact percentage, but essentially if you imagine how many non-twins you have to breed to get a twin, it would take around that many twins before you bred a twin with a trait. Obviously what I've described is like a whole concept so I understand if DECA's not receptive, but due to the low chances of the possibility to get a twin with a trait I think it would incentivize microtransactions for gems, which might sway DECA to consider it. Sorry if this concept has been suggested before as well.
OH! I just came back to edit this because I wanted to say if DECA does consider this concept, the legendary dragon should actually be 2 dragons who are twins, to fit the theme. Kairos and Gaia are named after Greek Gods/Titans and there is a set of Gods who are twins being Castor and Pollux, they have other names too but these are shorter.
Do you think DECA would ever consider a message about rarity? I was scrolling through the subreddit today and every so often someone asks something like, "is this rare?" or whatever and I never know how to respond because with eggs of mystery, events, and breeding percentages, it's kind of hard to decide what is "rare" and what isn't. I was just thinking about if DECA could add a message that pops up with the "What would you like to do with your new ______ Dragon?" that said something like "XX% of parks that were visited today have this dragon!" I chose that specific wording so abandoned parks don't affect the percentages and so the message doesn't break immersion by referencing "players" or "logging in".
I’m not sure this is where to post this but I’ve been playing since 2012. I’m maxed out on aura and omnitat habitats. I’d be great if you allowed more. I love the game!! my kids call it my Zen garden!! Thank you!!
Also also could it be requested that Chrysalis habitats have their limit removed or that a version of a Chrysalis habitat is added to the shop for DC that doesn't have a habitat limit? Now that the Chrysalis habitat has primary elements attached, the two other habitats for specific Epic elements that also have primary elements (Snowflake and Monolith) have versions you can buy for DC that are unlimited, but Chrysalis you can still only get 7 of.

I know I've been making a lot of suggestions lately, but I have another: I know there are rights issues with Surface dragons but I was curious if it would be at all possible for the Glider Dragon to have the Surface element added to it? There was a Glider Dragon in Dragonvale World and while it's not the same dragon, I think it would be a good way to pay tribute to the Dragonvale World dragons as well as utilize the Surface element and not just leave it rotting forever if dragons with the same names as dragons from that game got the Surface element added to them? Not including original Dragonvale dragons that were added to World.
Is this something DECA would ever consider?
This could also apply to the Magma Dragon and Machina Dragon.
There have been many requests for more themed habitats such as Meridian/Celestial, Paradise and Harmonious. One that could work is something such as a Wonderland habitat which can house Ornamental/Snowflake/Cold/Air (Perhaps Water or Light can also be added, depends on what makes sense). The design can combine features from many of the winter habitats and island themes.
Last, can Zodiac be added to the Meridian and Celestial habitats? There's other places to put them such as Air, Water, Fire and Earth habitats, but Zodiac fits the theme of those habitats and would offer more choices, space, and decoration opportunities.

I think Deca would be concerned that a lot of players who loved DV World would be upset that dragons not associated with DVW are given the Surface element.
It would be better and safer to not change the purpose and definition of the element just to expand the collection. Instead, Deca could create a new element.

Fair enough, I never played DVW so I’ve moreso just been sad about the lack of usage the element got, but I understand that other perspective.
I also should bring up another idea if its possible:
A building to allow day/night/weather/season dependent forms to be changed freely regardless of skybox/weather/season
This will bring a lot of customization options to the game and allows players to decorate more freely
There has been a similar suggestion of a day and a night habitat. A day habitat would show the day forms of the dragons regardless of the settings in game - a night habitat would work the same except the dragon would be night form. 😉

Because I don’t participate in this forum much (mostly to 🍷 about glitches… sorry) this idea of mine more than likely has been proposed but here goes: adlerist, how ‘bout asking DECA to put in bonuses for when we find all the ‘Flaggers’, all the Riff Vortexes & all of the Event Treasures. Finding all of those is one of my Daily DV goals as I’m sure it is for many other players. Anyway, just a thought… 🤔

Two suggestions I don't think I've seen mentioned elsewhere:
1) I'd love it if there was a way to quickly find out which habitats have space, without having to find a dragon that meets the elements for all habitats and attempting to move them to see what habitats they can be placed in.
2) Since Deca haven't added a search function in the gifts menu (by the way, do we know if they've said it's too difficult, or it's just low priority?), would it at least be possible to add a mode where you can sort by how long ago you obtained it? If you get more than 1 twin while you're away, the in-game pop-up saying you got a twin only shows 1 twin (I assume the most recent). Even though it might still be difficult to actually find dragons you want to hatch, it would be much easier to keep a record of what twins you have if we could order by most recently received (and this also means you wouldn't have to go searching for ages if you knew you had only just received something you wanted to claim).
Would Deca consider making a widget that would prompt us when things happen in our parks, like when breeding is completed, eggs are hatched, treats are ready for harvesting, Colosseum is ready, etc. We have them for games like Pokemon Go and I find them useful.

Thank you for passing these on!
Deca has only said that they’d look into the Gifts filter. No mention of low priority or difficulty. But it's not preventing gameplay, and I imagine it isn't too difficult for them to implement based on their current work.

Thank you :-)
There are push notifications for most of these (breeding complete, incubation complete, Colosseum ready, Tiamat and Bahamut, etc). So, I don’t know if they’d make a widget because it’s already covered, and it’s not a QoL feature that’s frequently requested.
