I’m so pleased someone has been to CJ’s! They make pinecones look terribly delicious.

When the new mini-game was accidentally leaked at the beginning of BEB and its name EGGY HATCHY was revealed, I immediately thought of you and your niece. Surely, they consulted your niece or named the game on her behalf! EggY HatchY — just throw a 'y' at the end of everything to name it — how perfect is that! I love the name Eggy Hatchy. I laugh every time I think of it.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw the game was called Eggy Hatchy!!! I called my niece as soon as I saw it and she is convinced it’s b/c of her lol! She has emailed DECA to say how much she likes the game so I guess it’s possible. It made her love Dragonvale even more b/c she feels like she’s part of it now. ❤️ 
She’s also better at Eggy Hatchy than I am. I guess I shouldn’t admit a 5 y/o is better at Dragonvale than me but she is *really* good and *really* smart!

I like that they change colors like Berry, but I’m not so sure about the leaf design. Very odd 🙃

Breeding/incubation time: 21 hours

BREEDING TIP:
To fulfil the hidden element and reduce the number of breeding fails, Vidalia and Tulip (hello MinyaZ) are the top Hidden dragons only adding two elements. The second best Hidden dragons are Cumberpatch, Karroot, Plateau, Pond, and Tansy (adding three extra elements).

CLONING TIP:
Similar to the Memories of Paradise dragons, there’s a slightly better chance of breeding Frons with the breeding combo than using Frons + another dragon. Frons + Frons is the only pair that has a little better chance of breeding Frons than the breeding combo.

Bred a Frons and it is level 20 up in coop. Koala all. 🐨

Got the Frons dragon in the rift. Then I've tried breeding it with a plant dragon and a spore dragon in the rift. Every single time I try to breed it, the game crashes and restarts. After 5 attempts, I switched to a normal hybrid plant/metal and no issues.

Edit: Crashes were less when I did frons + other dragons, but they still occurred fairly often (every other breed?) in the rift. I am running on a high end ipad that so far has never had any issues with Dragonvale or had any crashing from low resources, etc. No crashing breeding other combos. Something is wrong with the new dragon.

Thank you! I had my cooperative cave waiting and I bred my iron blossom with your LUCKY Frons and I got it on the first try! I was so excited I sped it up. It wasn’t a twin but I’m gonna keep trying with my new Frons!

Also thanks for the science lesson. Now I understand why leaves change color. 😁

Bred Frons using Vidalia and Thorn in Epic cave.

Had the crashing issues that Quil talked about. My crashing happened while using the Epic cave.

When I use Frons + a dragon containing plant+metal, would that satisfy the breeding necessities ? (Combined with a cloning chance) or aren't the new event dragons contributing the hidden element when used ?

If they do contribute the hidden element i would like to point out that we can also use an Apex, Atramento or Coldcoil from a friend in the coop to pair it with our plant/metal dragon. That would give a chance for all new event dragons

Something similar just happened to me in co-op, though not as many times. Under Cloning Tips, it says you only get better odds with Frons + Frons, but the usual reason for that is because the limited parent contributes all elements. Yet when I restarted from my crash, I got a Plant dragon in co-op as a result, and my next breed was 8 hours, so presumably metal. I thought such results were only possible when only opposite elements were in the breeding pool - could this be part of the problem?

You can clone with Plant or Metal elder or a plant + metal dragon like Iron Blossom. The new event dragons don’t contribute the hidden element.

Use Tulip or Vidalia with a plant + metal dragon. Malachite is perfectly fine. G’luck!
