Got the Frons dragon in the rift. Then I've tried breeding it with a plant dragon and a spore dragon in the rift. Every single time I try to breed it, the game crashes and restarts. After 5 attempts, I switched to a normal hybrid plant/metal and no issues.
Edit: Crashes were less when I did frons + other dragons, but they still occurred fairly often (every other breed?) in the rift. I am running on a high end ipad that so far has never had any issues with Dragonvale or had any crashing from low resources, etc. No crashing breeding other combos. Something is wrong with the new dragon.

Under Cloning Tips, it says you only get better odds with Frons + Frons, but the usual reason for that is because the limited parent contributes all elements. Yet when I restarted from my crash, I got a Plant dragon in co-op as a result, and my next breed was 8 hours, so presumably metal. I thought such results were only possible when only opposite elements were in the breeding pool - could this be part of the problem?
Plant and metal are opposite elements, and Frons is contributing both of them. That’s why you’re able to breed those primary dragons. It shouldn’t be the cause of the crashes though. Hopefully, Deca will work out any glitches.
FUN FACT: House of Iron Blossom is the only House with opposite elements.

They just set the odds slightly higher (so the chances are lower to breed the dragon). It’s not a significant amount, so it probably won’t make much of an impact, especially since RNG plays a factor.

ooo stranger and stranger: moved Rfronz to Vale, tried to breed w Thorn, crashed, went back in, and Vale had set up repeat breed of previous dragons, Tulip and Thorn.....

FRONS (not to be mistaken for Frond) is the first limited event dragon to emerge from its tent — and it’s a leaf that changes colour as is grows and autumn arrives, just as nature intended.
Hold up! You can’t breed Frons yet... stay tuned for all its breeding details in a mere five hours...

No, I don't like that thing at all. Even the actual Leaf dragon has some kind of reptilian appearance. That's just a leaf with a face on it.

Frons is so bizarre, I like it. But I’m also fond of the Leaf dragon. It reminds me of a hedgehog.

Had the same problem in coop with the crashing then got a Plant then a Metal. If I tried to use ghostly plant it crashed before I got it up with Frons. Had Crashing issue with the Epic cave as well. Was able to breed in Epic with Vidalia and Thorn.
Please, what’ combo did you use ? I do not get the thing of using tulip, tulip with what??? a metal plant dragon? Like malachite. Guys when successfully breeding kindly tell us what you used. Thanks
Use Tulip or Vidalia with a plant + metal dragon. Malachite is perfectly fine. G’luck!
Thanks adlerist, as usual you are a star ! Used Tulip and Malachite in the Rift and got a rifted one looking for same in the caves, let’s hope it will work.
Camp Nubleberry and Camp Bentbranch are pretty close for the pick of the day. Nubleberry probably gets it because of the points progression on the Stages. It has a lot of dragon eggs on each level above the first, so you'll need to be clever about banking eggs with 2 required elements. Bentbranch has 2 Stages which require just 1 high level dragon, which some might find easier. Camp Adirondack has some level 7s required, so I would leave the latter Stages of this one to last.

Just as some love the Halloween event, while I’m not really a fan, I love this dragon while others are not a fan. For me, Deca already had its first rejects, but this dragon is a big winner. In a world that seems to think if you have different opinions you must be enemies, I am glad for this forum where we can hold different views while still being friends and enjoying the game together.

Third start, one (1!) water egg. Camp nubbleberry tier 5 is swamped with fire and plant eggs. Do not waste your tickets on it, there has to be some programming issue.

So, you bring up another wrinkle for us to be aware of. Camp Nubbleberry has 10 preset dragon eggs, only 1 of which has water, a Coral egg, and none of which have cold. So you need to luck into the other 6 random dragon eggs having the elements you need, and them surviving the combination process. OR, making an epic that has those elements as breeding substitution.
This is something else to keep in mind when playing Egg Hatchy. I'll keep a closer look at that in the future.
Edit: Oh yeah, I don't think it's a mistake. I think it's meant to play off the fact that its Stages have lower point value, so you can get their easier, and but then need to use some tickets to complete the last level.
Edit Jr: Actually, it might be a mistake. Looking though other Camps, I can't find anyone that is missing as many required elements as this one. They be using the incorrect starting dragons here ...
