To everyone who has said they completed their Towers, do you mean you unlocked each Chest or you got the green checkmark for each Chest? I did get to the top of each Tower but I can’t seem to get past Chest 2 with the checkmarks. I get so close to having a Metal 5 or a Light 3 and then the next breed eliminates the Metal or Light I was trying for in the first place. I will consume more coffee and read Quil ‘s tips and tricks again. THANKS, Quil!
yesterday I completed 2 towers, from the 3rd one I only was missing the very last stage. And I mean I had all chests with a green hook. Be sure to bank eggs that you want to be counted against your goal. Also it is a good tip from Fletch_smf that you can fullfill two goals at the same time with the right egg (e.g. Mirror or Palladium for Metal AND light)

^ the above isn't clear. I meant that poison + poison might always result in another poison but with a bonus level. Have not gathered enough evidence to confirm. Neat though in a pinch if true.
This is explained in the help sections of the game: if you combine two eggs of the same type you get a bonus +1 in levels. So poison 3 + poison 2 = poison 6
That's nice to know, but I'd still appreciate it being in the official guide.

"Pure" elements. This is an official complaint. It makes zero sense that combinations such as bubble + metal have a high chance of producing an egg with no metal element at all. Why is this a mechanic.
All the breeding does is check if you meet the criteria of a breed and their percentage. It doesn't pick an element(s) from each side, just throws them all together. I think it could be equally confusing if it always had to have an element from both sides: Bubble + Forge would never create a Fog, for example, in that case. And it gets more complex with Epics and rare non hybrid dragons. I think the method they use is the simplest.
Primary eggs passing on their trait seems like the by far most straightforward option to me. I don't see the issue in your second point or why it would be confusing. No reason to not implement a cloning chance. But "straightforward" is a very subjective term to start with.

Eggs! is a new minigame available in during this camping event. The basic idea is that you breed eggs together (not dragons!) to create new eggs, following the same basic breeding rules from normal Dragonvale caves. The rarer the dragon egg, the more 'points' or 'score' it is worth. Golden hybrids are worth more than normal hybrids, epics are worth more than hybrids, and twin versions of dragons are worth more than their non twin counterpart.

I have to say, I really like the eggy hatchy thingy. It's not a horrible loss not to make all the goals, just try again, or wait a little while if you are out of tickets, and I do feel like I have gotten better at it just in two days. Actually, I can feel myself starting to get a little obsessed with it, it's so satisfying to make those goals. And I don't feel compelled to get to the fifth floor on all the towers, so far I'm a third, sometimes fourth, floor player. But I like it.
So my question for the Brilliant Ones of this forum is: do the hatchy eggs follow the same probabilities as regular breeding? And, does the "direction" make any difference in the odds, or does it only affect what square the new egg ends up in? I mean, if I want to keep a metal element, does it make any difference if I choose a tree dragon first, and then a scoria, or should I choose the scoria first, then the tree? (Or is a moss inevitable, either way?)

I believe that the eggs follow the same breeding rules, mostly because it would be difficult for them to make new rules for the eggs rather than use existing ones, and so far it appears to follow expected outcomes.
The direction makes no difference except where the egg will land. And that can be important, leave no egg stranded and left behind!

PRO TIP: Do not try the Eggy Hatchy thingy until you are totally caffeinated. Although somehow I accidentally bred a Snootroot and got a Snoot full of points.
Aarrgghhhh two buckets of caffeine later... can’t make heads or tails from the egg hatch squares game, sheesh shall avoid methinks

Good grief. This Eggy Hatchy thing is too complicated, too time consuming and too much like hard work for me. Time to quit Dragonvale, methinks, but lovely that others seem so engrossed. Merging games have never interested me and I just can’t be bothered with this version.

Kiwichris you have to select an egg before you press bank Then the egg is taken out of the game square and put to the right side and the points/elements are registrated for your goal.
