Good grief. This Eggy Hatchy thing is too complicated, too time consuming and too much like hard work for me. Time to quit Dragonvale, methinks, but lovely that others seem so engrossed. Merging games have never interested me and I just can’t be bothered with this version.
Ditto here...cant even find the camps let alone towers...can’t follow the convoluted rulz, might just sit this one out 😄
Here in the description from Quil you can see 2 towers: they are named "Camp Aspen" and "Camp Meadow" The word tower comes from the description of Deca. A tower is a set of 5 stages in which you can earn pine cones when you fulfill the given goals.

I didn't think so, but got a Stygian when completing Camp Meadow yesterday after roll-over. Don't know how to upload a screenshot from my phone without having reddit, but can someone tell me if there's something going on with epics anyway?

Ahhh, thank you for the heads up. I completely forgot about fireside dragons since there was nothing of interest in there.
On the singular time I didn't have to do re-do level 4 for extra unlock points. Ticket menace.
Attempt two: three eggs. One worked. Others missed 50% chance when merging.
Attempt three: three eggs. One worked. One missed. One turned into a supremely worthless twin gold worth 48k
First time being stranded in the sea of bad luck. Grrr. This will be a theme.
Attempt 4-6, failed one 50/50/50/50 for dark (both) + 50/50/50/50/50 for metal (3x second egg). Attempt 7: one metal starting egg. It's getting really improbable. At least it's the only unfinished tower.
Egg hatchy for dummies tip: if you are like me and when seeing an egg you have no clue what dragon it is and worse what elements it holds, tap the egg and in the bottom window you egg will show with name and elements. So I first go around to see what I have and where located so that I can try to plan possible connections in order to get the required level and type. I am not great in that game but learning and it is quite fun in fact. But i do not count on this game to gather piles of cones. Better breed in the rift, gives you more cones and in shorter time. (This of course does not apply to our super brains ie mods, who climb those towers in a snap lol
To everyone who has said they completed their Towers, do you mean you unlocked each Chest or you got the green checkmark for each Chest? I did get to the top of each Tower but I can’t seem to get past Chest 2 with the checkmarks. I get so close to having a Metal 5 or a Light 3 and then the next breed eliminates the Metal or Light I was trying for in the first place. I will consume more coffee and read Quil ‘s tips and tricks again. THANKS, Quil!

LOL another fail and start with not enough metal eggs. Never let it be said I haven't failed the tower.

YES so much to this. Sometimes you have to fail due to probability, but I can't say I'm mad. At least it's something new and not an instant win mechanic like in racing.
I don't mind the *idea* of the game, though matching games aren't really my thing, but hooking one up to the entropy-level randomness and results pool size of a breeding game this old is maybe a bit much? I might give the tower another go today at some point, we just passed the "hump" point of moving so I might actually have the energy to spare...
I'm not very good at this game at all. I have gotten up to level 4 a couple of times in a couple of towers but that's about it. It takes a bit of time and is kind of frustrating. And try as I might to make sense of the merging it seems rather random. I get it's not, but it seems like it to my puny brain. But I'm still enjoying it when I'm not annoyed at it doing what seems like illogical things to me. But the shortcomings are mine and the game is different and a tad addictive. Bottom line is I do appreciate the effort. So thumbs up Deca and thanks for the challenge.
I haven't completed a tower yet, but have had up to level 5 'open' as I scored many points with some Epic. I'm playing it with the attitude that if I win pinecones great, if I don't that's OK too. I try to complete the easier levels first on all towers rather than try and complete a tower. Most of my successful breeds I put down to dumb luck rather than skill.
It is a ploy by Deca for us to open our game more often to play.
