Splendid news! The event theme is no longer overriding the Twilight Tower and Weather Station settings on regular days. And the moon remains, regardless of the theme you choose.
A rare quintuple rainbow!
On Friday, with the start of Double Day, I noticed the event theme took over once again, nullifying the Twilight Tower and Weather Station settings every time the game was opened or after switching parks. I asked Deca if this could be fixed. Don’t know if it will be, but at least we have our settings on regular days. Cheers!

• No blood moon: the blood moon’s disappearance on double day was not intentional. Deca has restored it.
It’s also at a different phase. It was less than full at the start of the event, and is now showing as full, like the moon that we earthlings see. Seems like the moon phase will change during the event, which might account for the first glitch.
I wonder if that will affect when Lycan transforms?
Yes, that was the original concept of the moon, but sadly Friday’s double day took the moon away for the weekend. Deca did say it’s suppose to stay in the game for the length of the event, so hopefully it won’t disappear again. Really want to see the crescent version.
I checked out Lycan, and he has transformed into his wolf-state! The moon rays have taken control and even with a daytime setting, he’s howling away. I’m glad he’s in the event pack!
Deca needs to let the moon stay in the Vale forever!

Deca is going to raise the percentage for evolve decorations in the mini-games by 'a lot'. Hopefully, that will help players who need to collect them. If it doesn’t, and you have a better solution, I encourage you to email them. Otherwise, there likely won’t be another opportunity for change until the next event with evolve decos and the discussion is brought up again.
So I wanted to see how much “a lot” will be.
I always play Guess the Egg, I like the guaranteed income 😉. On my last egg to guess, was the golden chests. After that free one, I literally could not resist buying another, and then another and than a few more 🙄. Here’s what I got .......
free chests: 50000dc, 24candycorn(cc), 38cc
The next 6 I bought at 5 gems each 1: 24cc, 24cc, 42cc 2: 26cc, 475000dc, purple porcelain 3: 26cc, 525000dc, 38cc 4: 30cc, 512500dc, yellow flame 5: 52500dc, 51250dc, 52500dc 6: 38cc, 525000dc, green tendril
I spent 30 Gems and received 3 of the items i will be needing for the transformation dragons. Deca did indeed raise the percentage “a lot” more, but is it still enough to make it possible to collect all 30 items. I don’t know. I’m assuming there will be many many duplicates to go through before completing a collection of ten. I’m saying now that I will not be spending any more gems on extra tries, but honestly, I’m probably lying to myself about that, especially if I am close to completing a collection, only lacking a piece or two. But, I will not buy any extra tries for the next couple of weeks and see how many items I am able to collect by randomly getting the chests.

Thanks for the interesting data! I think the duplicates will be a real problem. It was suggested that Deca eliminate deco duplicates from the mini-game chests, but that would take much more work than just raising the chances.
The strategy many players use for evolve decorations is to buy extra mini-game plays on a double (or triple) day late in the event (after acquiring all you can from the free chests). Buy enough extra plays until you obtain 80% of the decorations. This way, you won’t receive constant duplicates and feel you’re wasting gems. Then use event currency to purchase the guaranteed golden chests for the remaining 20%.
In this event, if you obtained 80% of the decorations through the mini-games, it will be beneficial if the guaranteed chests eventually come back. But if the starter kits are reinstated, it’s not helpful because the kits include all the decorations. So sadly, there isn’t any solid advice I can offer you. 🙁

Okay, so the first upgrade went to holding 4 dragons and I think 10k DC (might have been 12k or something else). It offered another upgrade for 25k E. This upgrade was instant and went to 5 dragons and 100k DC. The last upgrade looks really cool and now it earns a decent amount. Oh and the story changes with each upgrade.
Now I’m going to see if it breaks putting a rift gem dragon in it.
edit: Didn’t break, but the gem dragon earned 0 DC in the habitat.
Just realising that if it doesn't add to your habitat count, and there is no limit on them, it's another Paradise Habitat situation. If DECA bring out a Rift Island Theme, we could be doing something interesting here.

Before the packs these were available either with a wish (only need 30 wishes for the full original set), or 90 gems EACH (during a BEB). Luckily last time they were available during an event I was able to clear them out and collect the set.
In other events after they dismal odds were increased I spent ~300-600 gems to get most of the set and then collected the guaranteed chests (hope they appear here).

Do we have a sense of the best dragons to use for cloning the event dragons? Are elders of the relevant element better?
Cloning chance always stays the same, no matter if 5 or 100 dragons are in the pool. You'll want to avoid some long epics. Quil recommended an elder, especially plant, or at least a plant hybrid like flower or poison. You can always throw in some christmas epics like Avarice too, I guess.
Okay, I heard back from the FB Rep. The text in the pop-up needs to be changed. The Ghostly primaries cost 100 gems. But evolving Love to Wrath, which was your initial question that I reported to Deca, costs 1,000 Candy, not gems. The text for Wrath (here’s a screenshot of the Wrath error) has been corrected. The pop-up message now reads 1000 Candy.

EDIT: just heard from Deca, and they’ll correct the pop-up text for the Ghostly primaries so it’s in sync with the Evolve button.
Looks like Deca may be struggling with these. Went to evolve my Cold dragon and it's asking for 1,000 cand - I didn't click the button this time, so I don't know if it would actually take candy or gems. The good news is that the text in the pop up and the button do in fact match. 🙃🐨🙃

I don’t know if anyone noticed, or if they were there all the time, but the wrath, corrupticorn, and porcelain starter kits are in the dragons area of the market and on sale. They are unfortunately for gems not event currency and the corrupticorn is very expensive.

When I sold cold dragon eggs from Gaia's nursery today, I only received 4 candies. I had been getting 24 on double days and 12 on normal days. I had been filling my nursery with Cold dragons when I had empty slots at night. Not sure when this changed because my nursery has been full the past few days.
Added: will try to watch and see if I notice any other differences.

A rifted Misfortune Dragon only gains you 1 dragon cash, regardless if you sell it out right, or hatch then sell. Something wrong with that...
This is correct. Just to be confusing, this was discussed in the Tips & Tricks thread. As it is an Epic, you do get maximum candy for it - 21 on a normal day and 42 on a doubles day.

I love the rift for breeding, getting several done quickly each day curbs the desire to throw gems away on speed breeding outside the rift, even if I don't get the desired dragon that day.
Apparently Deca has said they don't want to develop the rift more because it's "too easy" to breed the dragons there; I don't find it TOO easy (I am missing a LOT of rifted dragons!) but letting people put rift habitats on the regular islands lets Deca continue to put out the rift versions of all the new dragons without having to add or expand islands producing etherium, and limiting etherium production limits the average number of rift breeds per day. It's actually a rather clever solution to making more places to put more rift dragons (besides the storage tower) without increasing etherium production (and hence increasing number of possible rift breeds).
What I would really like to see is the rift habitats being like little wormholes that could connect to breeding caves both inside and outside the rift, so dragons there wouldn't need a few hours (or etherium speedup) to be transferred from one realm to the other.

Pleeese just one, ONE, of these new event dragons in my coop...I so prefer to breed ‘em than buy ‘em 😄 ( I mean, if the Vale Gods insist, I’m happy to coop breed ALL of ‘em, but just 1 20 hour timer... pleeeezzeee 😫)
Also I think someone should mention that duplicates of decos while the event is going on usually sell for 50 event currency not 10,000 gold then changed back to gold after the event ends. This would be useful for all players.
Unfortunately, the Ornament of Porcelain, Tendril of Wrath, and Flame of Corruption are currently selling for 10,000 DC, not Candy.
I’ll see if Deca will change this, but so far, there’s not much benefit to getting tons of evolve decorations.
adlerist Thank You So Much for asking DECA! 10k dragoncash is useless! It needs to be for candy. I have all the decorations so it’s going to be so ANNOYING to not be able to sell them for candy especially since we’re going to get all these extras because they changed the odds and we have less chance of getting mystery eggs or candy. I will email DECA too and hopefully others will and ask for the change.

• Cost to Evolve Ghostly Primaries. Yes, this is correct. Deca informed us they fixed the Ghostly primary evolve cost. However, instead of keeping the price at 100 gems, they changed it to 1,000 Candy. So it now matches the other evolve dragons.
I looked up the price history for Ghostly primaries, and they did cost event currency during Candy Bash V. Since that was two years ago, it’s understandable the Game Rep forgot and thought the Ghostly primaries could only be evolved with gems, as that’s usually the case.

• Starter Kits in the Market. The Corrupticorn, Porcelain, and Wrath starter kits were recently added to the Market. To be clear, this is NOT what was recommended. I suggested these starter kits be added to the Limited tier for Candy. I’ve asked Deca to reconsider, or at least lower Corrupticorn’s price, because it costs over 4,300 gems more than the others. I don’t know if the price will be changed, but unfortunately, it does not appear the starter kits or the guaranteed golden chests will be added to the event market.
The Game Reps have gone back and forth with Deca on this topic for three days. I don’t think there’s much more we can do. It will be up to players contacting Deca.

• Selling Duplicate Evolve Decorations for 50 Candy. Deca stated, since the evolve decorations are old, they sell for DC; if they were new they’d sell for Candy, per previous events. I informed them this is incorrect. Decorations, returning or new, sell for event currency when they’re involved in an event. Waiting to hear back. Don’t know where this issue will land, but so far, you can only sell duplicate evolve decos for 10,000 DC.
