This new event is going to be a struggle since I'm still stuck with my old tablet for the time being. I deleted a bunch of unnecessary apps to free up RAM and memory, installed the update for DragonVale, and now with fingers crossed, I'm hoping for the best.
So far the game has crashed three times, but I have managed some limited access to my park. Any access is better than none, though. Guess I'll have to whip out the old coloring books to pass the time while I repeatedly try to get into my park.
There is a link under Dracontine Shiny Things in the Encyclopaedia Dracontine with some hints on what to turn off and/or store in your park - orbs, island themes, animated decorations etc.
I found that trying to go in and out of the rift would cause my old tablet to crash. Visiting the rift was a one time visit each time I opened my park.
This may be enough to keep your old tablet going until your new one arrives. Hope it helps.
Same here. I’m completely at a loss without the sandbox’s quest page. Anyone know of an alternative for finding the perfect dragon for a quest?
Isn't it just a matter of turning the filter on, and then selecting the elements that are shown in the quest?
Unfortunately that doesn’t work for epic dragons, unless you know them all by their hidden elements. There is a specific quest for each dragon. If you use the right dragon you get two chests for completing the quest, otherwise only one. The sandbox has a list of all the quests by name that gives you the correct dragon for that quest. If you click on “more”, you will find the quests.

That would be nice, but if it’s for an epic, it will still only list the elements. My current quest is Vivid Virtue - PEFC - there are several dragons that fit this description. I feel like it’s Chromacorn, but I’m trying to clone it and would rather not lose it’s availability for 8 to 16 hours if I’m wrong.

The sandbox pulls the quest details from the Wiki page. The Wiki has undergone an update recently, so the link may need to be updated in the Sandbox.
I added the DV Wiki Quest link to the ED. Gaia Quests was already linked. It’s up to date, but it’s much more cumbersome to scroll through than wiki.

In your opinion, will ALL the Rifted pedestals, including Twins, fit on a regular sized island?
I put my regular/twin pedestals next to their corresponding habitats and dragons, so i don’t have a ped only island, except for the Rifted ones that have been just thrown on island all willy nilly. I’m trying to decide if instead of using a regular island for Rifted peds only, that I might do better with one of the gigantic ones. 😊

I am wondering if it is even possible for the counter in my park to be off. I mean whatever keeps track of adding up candy corn. I had written down my total and then I got 100 candy corn but I only received 96. Could that even be possible? It seems highly unlikely. Also when you buy and sell a plant dragon egg is it only worth 2 candy corn on regular days and 4 on double?

It was Whitbee on a double day. Very clear that it should have been 100. But maybe I made a mistake somehow. The 2 candy corn for the plant dragon was on an egg I bought and sold. I only got 2 candy corn for selling it. But for breeding, incubation and selling I do get 6, 2 each on regular days. I don't think I would even be wondering about the count if I hadn't looked at my amount just before I picked up Whitbee and calculated what I would get. And the count was at a very easy number to calculate, 19900 so I expected to get 20000 so when I got 19996 I was very surprised. But I could have somehow messed it up because it's too weird that the count would be off by 4. I just wondered if anyone had ever heard of anything like that. I'm sure it's me somehow though. Just can't figure how. I will keep an eye on it and see on the off chance that it wasn't just me.

Unfortunately, no. You will have to try and breed one. I also need a Macabre in the rift and despite trying all week, have been able to breed one.
