Does the apocalypse element of Wendigo mean it has 4 elements, so trying to clone it might result in Rainbow?
Yes to both. It is the same as Frons giving off the Hidden element even though it does not contribute to the pool and similar to using a rifted dragon, the rift element will always add another element to the count even in the regular vale.

2% chance using Macabre + Bone and 1.5% chance cloning using Wendigo.

They are not dragon specific. Just hit all the elements and use the highest level dragons you can. The elements also do not have to be in the order of the side they appear.

How did we determine that quests at Kairos are dragon specific, but the quests in an event are not? That seems inconsistent.

The amount of chests you get if you get a quest right is 2, only 1 if wrong. It is the same with Gaia quests.
You can get the maximum amount of event currency using non specific and different dragons.

I should be so lucky..😢...so far, all the Zombies I bred in the rift are non traited! Seems like all other outcomes were rifted, except for the Zombie..😣

Okay. But no doubt there are good epic dragons to use that have the right elements? Because I rarely find a limited that has the elements I need, and I often get just 10 candy. Maybe it’s because I’m missing the limiteds I need.
I have not tried epics with hidden elements. It might be worth giving it a whirl if you are mostly getting 10 anyway. I use a lot of the enhanced dragons because they have 3 elements each and a lot of them match the elements quite often. I get 30 on single days and 60 on double days.

Using the perfect dragon for Gaia or Kairos quests will give you two chests. You can use a level 1 dragon and still receive 2 chests.
The challenge in the events uses your dragon and a friend's dragon, so the chances of you both having the 'perfect' dragon to challenge with is highly unlikely. You are 'challenging' each other, not going on a quest together.
The challenges give rewards based on the levels of dragons used. The higher the dragon level, the better the rewards. I only match one element with a friend's level 20 dragon and then use one of my level 20 rainbow type dragon (rainbow, double rainbow, leap year, party etc) - which has all elements - and receive maximum event currency every time.
Fletch_smf if your epic dragons are only at level 10, try matching your rainbow type dragon with a friend's elder dragon that matches one of the elements in the challenge.
