My first co-op breed with Yanghis and Elder Air has given a 2 day 7 hour timer.  Hmmm, I wonder what that could be. Sandbox tells me the only two dragons with that time are Dazzling and Twinkle. Dazzling which requires two Ornamental dragons to breed and Twinkle which is Winter and Air.

The curse of the Ornamental dragons is ongoing.   😱

That is weird. Is there anyway to check in the middle of a breed that you did choose a friends Yanghis, instead of clicking on a Dazzling/Twinkle by mistake?

I bet it is Dazzling. I think you only need one Ornamental element for that instead of two like before. I have had a couple pop up this event when only using one Ornamental in the combo.

I also expected a triple day and also for some older New Year dragons to return. Oh well... I didn’t need them but others may have.

The FB community also complained about this. I was very surprised today wasn’t a double/triple day, since we didn’t have a double day all week. It was a missed opportunity to celebrate the first day of the year. As a result, I asked Deca for an extra double day next week, or a triple weekend, or something to compensate for no double day this week. We may receive a response from them tomorrow, or on Monday.

We should (I hope) have a typical doubles weekend starting tomorrow. So if you can, hold on to those eggs you were planning on selling until tomorrow.

If you breed an ornamental dragon with any other dragon, Ornamental and Dazzling are potential outcomes, even if Ornamental and Dazzling are not parents.

This bug started during the last Xmas event. oomagooma25 first reported it, and the glitch was widely tested throughout the event. During that time, DV was in limbo. Backflip had closed and the game was transitioning to Deca, so the bug was never fixed. Several weeks ago, we asked Deca to correct this, but have not received an update. I’ll let you know when we hear back.

PSA: please be aware both Ornamental and Dazzling are possible fails if you’re trying to clone or breed Yanghis (Starshine + Flicker).

Neoteric, Epoch, and Party (the New Year dragons) have been requested to make an appearance. Hopefully, we’ll know soon if they’ll be arriving late for the celebration. We typically have BEB now, so the New Year dragons don’t need to be released. As a result, they don’t have a release date pattern, and they may have been forgotten.

If you wanted to prompt them again, you could suggest they check the difference between Ornamental & Dazzling and a Snowflake dragon, for example, which definitely needs 2 Snowflake parents to breed another.

Dazzling requires any two ornamental dragons, but Ornamental needs Reindeer + dragon with a fire element, so the breeding requirements are different.

Deca said they’d provide an update on this bug after the holidays, so hopefully we’ll receive a status report next week.
