I hope the next event has the runic caves so I can get some of my missing rift dragons from the recent events. Runic caves are the only thing I spend real money on, I hope the next event has them so I can help support DECA.

This event was better for me than the last one. I did have to buy a couple dragons but I don’t mind doing that b/c I have a lot of berries and it gives me something to spend it on since I have all the older dragons. I wasn’t able to get some new dragons in the Rift which is always frustrating. I hope there’s a BeB or something so I can try again soon.

Krampus was a really good pick! I love his design. I got Snowpocalypse b/c I needed a Rift twin but I like all the Christmas dragons.

You can still get more ice berries if you sell upgrade decorations. I still had one in my social menu I had gotten from a chest and didn’t get it claimed and sold before reset. It still gave me ice berries after reset.

If you’re collecting DC manually (rather than using Ts’aishen), only collect from either the rift or the park in a single game session.

These seem to work for me. I tend to play the game in multiple “sessions” so I don’t usually have to do a lot of back and forth to and from the rift.

These are some outstanding tips! They offer a different approach to preventing crashes that hasn’t been outlined before. If you don’t mind, I’d like to add your post to the Encyclopaedia Dracontine. Cheers!

Thanks adlerist.  That is quite a big change - great for the early birds.  

My take on this change -

Deca are still planning on game reset being 11am Mountain Time every day, but for the first day, the event is starting three hours earlier.

We don't know the format for the new event yet, but the extra five free plays for the mini game would be Dragon Drop, Name that Dragon etc and not include Eggy Hatchy? - (assuming Eggy Hatchy is in the next event)

Yes, you’re correct. The only change is the event starting at 8.00am MT. Reset will still occur at 11.00am MT. On the first day of the event, we’ll receive an additional 5 mini-game plays at reset. I wouldn’t expect Eggy.

I like this change, because it gives Deca a little time to address issues when an event starts, and it’s not disruptive to the game or the rest of the event. I understand the time change may not be ideal for some players who like to play at the start of an event. But overall, this should be beneficial for the game and players.

Oh my goodness,  I have been such a scatter brain this past couple of weeks 🤪
I thought I needed Yeti (I forgot I got one last week) when it’s really Angler I needed all along. And here I was still trying for Yeti 🤦🏻‍♀️

this whole event was been a frustrating one for me. I’m helping my daughter and her family, hubby and two toddlers, move half way across the country to Texas. I had no wifi for the 3 day drive and my phone is an older I-7 that can’t support the game 🤨. We were at an Airbnb for a month with glitchy wifi and I was lucky to play my iPad once a day there.  Finally, last week we are in a real house and wifi is great, but I’m totally behind and wasn’t able to collect enough ice berries for everything I want. I bought Angler/Pedistal just in time, (thanks adlerist for the reminder) but I need to also buy one of the permanent event dragons, I can’t remember it’s name 🙄, and finish evolving the previous dragons and also buy trees and an igloo. 
oh well, one thing for sure though, lol, I’m not driving back to Florida until this next event is over 😆😉

Is there a list of a dragon, egg, or decoration's sell price I can reference for the end of events to find the best use of remaining currency for cash? Or just keep asking in the event threads which item gives the best cash? I have 62,000 to turn into cash as Adlerist was extremely generous in co-op this event. Thank you so much.

I believe amos is great as figuring the best conversion item to buy with event currency🫐, then sell for DC  💰💰💰

I too have an Air 2.  Thanks for those tips...all good points.  Here are 2 more that I do which help to keep from Crashing:
1) Before starting DV, I shut down everything else that is running and do a ‘memory clear’.  This insures the maximum amount of memory is available for DV.
2) After collecting from all Park Habitats but before going to the Rift, I shut down DV and perform a ‘memory clear’.  Then, after I bring DV back up, I don’t perform any functions in the Park; I go immediately to the Rift. Before returning to your Park from the Rift, shut DV down again and perform another ‘memory clear’.  This is similar to the 3rd point you mentioned but the ‘memory clear’ insures that all memory is returned to the system as there may be some substantial blocks of memory which were lost by DV when it crashed.

A ‘memory clear’ is done every time you turn on your iPad (after you have powered it off) but many of us rarely ever turn them off.  As you run apps and games during the day, little by little, small chunks of memory are used and ‘forgotten’ by the system, never to be used again until you power off and power on your device.  Powering your device off and then on is a time consuming bother but a ‘memory clear’ can be performed without powering off your device and it is much faster than a complete power off followed by a power on.

How?
1) Shut down everything that is running.
2) Press and hold down the Power On/Off button until the ‘Slide to Power Off’ displays.  Release the Power Off button but don’t do the ‘slide’.
3) Press and hold down the round ‘Home’ button until your Home Screen appears.  This takes about 5 seconds.  If your device is ‘password protected’ you will have to enter your password.

I forgot that there was shopping time after the event, so I went nuts yesterday spending all my currency. lol Mostly it was Toy Boxes, trying to collect the rest of the decorations, plus some igloos, and pine trees, that will hopefully be enough to decorate my brand new Wonderland Island. My second one, because there is too much to fit on just one.

You’re very welcome! I’m so glad you were able to breed the event dragons!

There isn’t a list for event currency/DC conversion items, since the event currency price can change, affecting its value.

However, Lace is usually the best pedestal to buy for currency/DC when it’s in the prize tiers.


Edit: I double-checked, and it does look like Lace is still the winner at 7,317 DC per Iceberry.

I'm not good at figuring out time zones. For me, my park resets at 10:00 AM. So, to the best of my calculations, the new event time is 7:00 AM...?

Depends on where you are.  If you’re on the west cost U.S.  You’re an hour behind (8:00am MST = 7:00 am your time)

If you’re on the east coast U. S.  You’re two hours ahead (8:00am MST = 10:00 am your time)

To make sure, you can do a search on MTS current time.  Compare that against your local time to find out what the difference is for your time zone is.

I bred 2 new dragons this event vs. 0 on halloween.

If I hadn't spent a mountain on hoarding decorations, I could have bought every single remaining dragon.

But 42 fountains, 12 toy chests, 7 pylons of glacialiation, 4 starlight spruces, a theme, and way too many pedestals it is lmao.

My 44 paradise habitats were too lonely by themselves, so they absolutely needed 42 more fountains for a total of 49. I'm a very reasonable person. The last 5 were an accident.
