I'm not good at figuring out time zones. For me, my park resets at 10:00 AM. So, to the best of my calculations, the new event time is 7:00 AM...?

DECA does give you a gift if you miss it, but my park and my grandson's both received dragons we already had, which, in my opinion, is ridiculous. He really wanted the Snowpocalypse, so I emailed DECA just for his park to see if they would swap it out, and the answer was no since it wasn't a "problem". Extremely disappointed since this happened when I first started playing, and they were kind enough to give me the dragon I wanted, yet when I say this is for a kid, they won't.
It would be extremely helpful to have an in-game reminder to collect any unclaimed prizes like they do with spending event currency, OR at a minimum, give you a dragon you don't currently own.
On a side note, this is the second time I've had to email DECA recently. The previous time the rep told me she couldn't see what I was referring to in the log, so it "didn't happen". Not so sure about playing this game anymore...

I really hate that one. I was really hoping the canned response of we can not recreate it so it must not be happening customer service response would be gone with Hasbro. Customer service needs to be personal help not a copy and paste response.

I was used to,...no, I counted on those few hours in the morning, before my noon time reset, to collect event currency and reset breeding from overnight, especially on double days. I don’t think I’ll have the morning time to get to my park before 9 and I don’t see myself setting an alarm to get up before 6am just to schedule in playtime before reset. Oh well, it is what it is, and I will endure. 🙃

But, this means that my reset is now at 9am. Right! And here I though 9 was too early! 🤣🤣 I hardly ever play at reset, usually I get my first chance around 5pm, if at all, and then before bedtime. That’s why I relied on that next morning to catchup around 9 or 10. Hmmm 🤔 if I start at 9 or 10, then even if I miss playing around 5ish, then I guess I’ll have bedtime for catchup. Lol, no matter what, make it work! 😆

I brought up this problem of DV support’s overuse of generic stock replies with Deca last month, since there have been some complaints about this since Hallowe’en. amos had also informed me about a generic reply that didn’t make any sense given the question. Deca said they’d look into this and pass the info on to their support team. If the stock reply you received (their inability to recreating the issue in your game/couldn’t see it in their log) was recent, within the last month, let me know, and I’ll inform them it’s still an issue.
As far as not claiming a dragon from the event calendar, sometimes Deca will give you the dragon you wanted if you ask them. But there isn’t a guarantee they’ll do this every time. BFS would accommodate a player’s mistake one time only, in an effort to prevent players from frequently asking for dragons they accidentally sold, unclaimed dragons from the event calendar, etc. Not sure what Deca’s policy is, but I can ask and see if that was the reason for declining your request.

When Deca was first considering the event time change, they were looking at starting events 4 hours earlier. I informed them this would affect the large population of players in the US, particularly those in the Pacific timezone. So they reduced the change to 3 hours to minimise the inconvenience on US players.
I know the time change isn’t ideal for everyone. But unfortunately, it’s not ideal for Deca right now. And since they have to oversee the game, it’s important they’re available for at least a couple hours after an event starts. If you do miss the beginning of an event, do not fret. We will be here with all your event info when you’re ready to play. Hopefully by then we’ll have a decent grasp on the event and the answers to all your questions. 😊

No, you don’t have to get used to it. Deca is willing to make some changes and improve, but those changes might not be as significant or occur as quickly as players want. Remember, Deca is an indie publisher with a much smaller staff than BFS, so they may require more patience. But considering there are dragons that take 50+ hours to breed and another 50+ hours to incubate, we should have patience fairly well nailed down.

Thanks adlerist ! I’m not worried about missing the start of the event at all. I never was able to play when the reset was noon, for Florida and only this past event was I able to play the reset @11am because I’m here in Texas. And you better believe it, I never open my vale on the first day until after I’ve gone over the new event thread line by line 😆. I was just thinking, in writing lol, that I’m going to miss those next day, before reset, couple of hours.☺️

I’m sure they do have a much smaller staff but then again, they are creating these new Events almost one on top of the other. They should be giving us a break and making improvements instead of ramming these new Events down our throats...it’s the 💰💰💰! I’d rather see a little more attention to changes & improvements with a little more time between Events.

My new start time will be 1am. Even starting to play at a reasonable time of 6 o’clock means missing the first 5 hours each day of the event but there has to be some time zones that are disadvantaged.
