Yes, as I replied earlier, momentarily leaving the game and returning corrects the problem but it soon crashes when I continue. I’ve emailed DECA to please correct they problem (they call it an ‘issue’ but to me there’s a difference) or cease running ads which display in portrait mode.

I’m getting repeated ads for “Revolt”, an online social justice mag. Then there’s also Chick-fil-A, Homescapes and that “left on a deserted island” game. They all stretch out my screen, every time now.
I’m getting the same ads as LynnMarie. Not only do they stretch the screen, but they either result in an oops message or a crash. Yesterday I only successfully got eggs once, not at all today, and I can’t remember when I got the colleseum to work. I agree that it’s not worth opening a ticket with DECA over.

Today the ads start to play then freeze soft close does nothing to help had to shut game down all together. Lost egg currency in both parks total of 600. Was going to buy Runestones today for the RBC......not buying after what happened with ads.😠

It’s been 3 days since I emailed DECA about the “Stretchy Screen” problem (it’s a PROBLEM, not an Issue). I’ve heard nothing from them, zip, nada, NOTHING.

When I have emailed they come back with same answer...they are aware of problem and are working on. Gems and currency lost never addressed and yesterday back to being kicked into App Store along with stretchy screen, some ads not even playing, etc. 🤦♀️🙄😠
I get ads that stretch the screen but I’ve been able to use the tips provided in this thread so I don’t have trouble collecting from the colosseum or Tolzar but it does take longer and sometimes I have to watch an extra ad so that can be annoying when I’m in a hurry. I hope DECA can fix all the ads b/c people who don’t read the forum which is basically most players are not going to have these great tips and will lose gems and eggs.

As stated earlier, soft closing your game after stretchy screen will correct the strechiness, but all of the following ads with Tolzar’s Optical Oracle, the Colosseum, and the Sponsor Gem in the Market will NOT play (Oops! message). You will need to force close the game so the remaining ads will run.

It’s really irritating because it always results in stretchy screen and it’s three pages, so you have to click on the Next Page button twice before finally getting to the last page. There’s a whole mess of similar multiple-page ads for Everyday Health, Banner University Medicine, Us Weekly, Amazon, Walmart, NewsOne, Eat Well, WebMD, etc, etc, etc.
The only decent thing about these ads is they don’t freeze the game, so the reward is given and the remaining ads will still play. All the mobile game ads that cause stretchy screen freeze DV and require a force close to watch another advert.
But I’ll always dislike the tediously long three-part ads. Especially if they result in stretchy screen.

PSA: Deca said the next DragonVale update should address the ad issues with a new optimisation.
They are currently awaiting approval for the update from Apple and Google (this is the normal process for app updates).
Hopefully, this will resolve the ad problems.

Oh my gosh, yes! I’ve gotten those three part ads for the past couple of days now and always the stretchy screen too. I think Chick-fil-A is the best even if it does give a stretchy screen sometimes, super short, and delicious. Hehe.
I did have a miracle this morning though....Home Scapes played, the one with the butler in bed with a cold and the spiders in the corner 🙄. It played and....I was awarded my 100 eggs, get this, WITHOUT getting a stretchy screen!! Yep, a miracle! 😆

PSA: DragonVale update 4.23.0 is now available for iOS and Android in the App Store and Play Store
This update is suppose to fix some of the ad issues.
Remember: iOS updates do not instantly show in your list of Available Updates. If the DV update hasn’t appeared yet, refresh your Account page to force it to show:
1. Open the App Store app.
2. Click on your avi/icon in the upper right corner to access your Account.
3. On the Account screen, pull-to-refresh (slowly swipe down, then release the screen when you see the ubiquitous loading symbol rotating at the top of the screen).
4. When the loading symbol disappears, you should see the current DV update listed under Available Updates.

The new update is out today on ios.
No issues with failing to get a reward. But I did get the same ad 5x in a row, and it's the annoying one that you have to click through 3 times, every 10 seconds. I did not get any of the ads that normally fail or take you to the app store, so can't tell if it's better.
On every single attempt I came back to the 'stretched' screen. Tab out and back in reset it. This should be a simple fix for Deca, whatever code runs on the 'open app' event to reset the screen size should be called whenever an ad finishes playing too.
I can't remember the game, it's been so long, but there was one that handled ads so well I still remember how it worked. When it would play ads, it would open a 'window' with a clear close button at the top and the ad would play contained inside the window. After 20 seconds you could close the ad and get the reward, regardless if the ad were still playing, bugged out and frozen, whatever. This was a perfect solution, and you never had to click on an ad page in any way.

I was excited for this update and did it right away. The second video, a revolt web page came back with a stretched screen. Doing the partial restart did not fix the stretch. Did some dc collecting. Next video was another revolt page, and before I could press next, the screen returned to the game with an oops message.
I knew it. That update did barely anything to fix the ad issue. I'm not going to update so I can find an ad that cause the game to stop playing ads for the rest of the running session so I can speed breeding a little freely. Unless I need that for future events.

Yea I don’t see any change with the update except more ads that cause the stretched screen. It doesn’t look like DECA worked on the stretch screen ads at all maybe they just removed the other mobile ads that opened the App Store. I’ve seen way less of those ads over the last week or two so it seemed like they were working on it.
The Revolt ad is revolting lol! I get it all the time now. The update didn't get rid of those ads and the stretch screen I'm getting them a lot now there are several of them.
I never got the quit vaping ads. I'll probably get them at some point later tho. I agree with everyone else I haven't had ads that go to the App Store for a while. I think I had one a couple days ago but that's it so that's good.
Similar to everyone else, after updating, I received the Revolt ad multiple times, along with other three-part ads that I described in my previous post above. Some of the glitchy mobile game ads could’ve been pulled, but the iOS advert bug is not resolved. Deca does recognise this update will not fix all the ad issues, but with adverts like Revolt playing so frequently, it has created a new problem.
I’ve reported these ads to Deca in hopes they will be removed, since they always cause stretchy screen:
1. Revolt (online magazine) 2. Health Central (online mag) 3. Everyday Health (online mag) 4. News One (online mag) 5. Eat Well (online mag) 6. Fishdom (Homescape series)
I’ll add to this list when additional adverts are reported.
