There is a hacker who is adding gems, treats, and DC to players’ parks through the Gifts menu. The gifts are usually from 'Your Reward for Checking in' or 'discord will_2121'. The amount ranges from 50 gems to 1 trillion gems.
DO NOT collect the gems, treats, or DC from the hacker. If you receive any gifts from someone who is not your friend, do not collect. It will only make the process longer when Deca removes the hacked gifts.
If you’ve already collected the gift, don’t worry, just be aware that Deca is working on the removal of the added currency.
This is not compensation for the loading bug. Compensation has not been distributed yet. We’ll likely receive an update from Deca today.

I experienced both the hacked gems gift and the problem with the event vanishing prematurely. The event island has returned after following the instructions here. Already sent a PM to adlerist regarding the surprise gems.
Just wanting to put it out there that one of the hacked gifts came from "Dream big and dare to fail". It's a gift containing 166 gems. The other was from the discord one. Did not collect, but apparently there's a small variety of names being used by this person.

Today in Daily Rewards had where I could watch a video to double the amount of treats being given for checking in or could hit ok and move on. Just moved on. There were gems offered in friends accounts under “Never Give Up” 135 gems……didn’t claim. Got the same thing yesterday only from O discord will_2121 Enjoy…..138 gems as well as the treat offer. This person is a pain ! If they have issues with DragonVale take it up with DECA and stop the annoying nonsense. 🎃

Today in addition to the 89 "Discord" gems (uncollected), that park now has 193 gems from "DECA Games - Thanks for playing!" 😳 And something else weird happened in the same park: I completed a co-op breed this morning and got my second Shackle, which was sitting in the nursery when I left for work. Just now, after opening the game for the first time since reset, I completed that same co-op Shackle breed, and it was no longer already in the nursery when I came in. So something set me back, though I don't think everything I did this morning was undone - before reset, I sold off everything that was completed in my nursery, including a Frond I watched a video for, and none of those finished eggs are still there. 🤔🤨🤷♀️

We’ve been in contact with Deca all morning. They are aware that there’s another round of hacked gifts. You may find a gift of gems with an 'inspirational' message, or claiming to be Deca Games ('loyal player reward', 'sorry for the downtime ENJOY', 'DECA Games - sorry for the inconvenience', etc).
Please do not collect these gifts. Thank you!
Here is a list of FAQs that I put together to hopefully answer some of your queries
1. How do I know if a gift is legitimate or hacked
• Deca has not delivered anything to the Gifts menu this week. So there should not be any new gifts from them. If you’re not sure, please contact support.
• When a Daily Reward is missed it can show in your Gifts, but the amount will not be different from the usual rewards. Gems rewards do not exceed 25 gems. Here’s a list of the Daily Rewards. They do not deviate from this schedule, so you can check if your reward in the Gifts menu matches your scheduled reward.
• The compensation for the loading bug has not been distributed yet, so do not confuse the gift with compensation. Compensation has likely been delayed due to the hacking.
• Other dead giveaways: the gift is from a person who is not a DV friend; the gift is accompanied by an 'inspirational' message or claiming to be Deca Games; the gift includes multiple currencies (gems, treats, DC); the gift is a wish; the gift is more than 25 gems.
2. When will the gifts be removed?
Some players have reported that the gifts have already been removed. We do not have a timeline. If Deca provides that, we will let you know, or they’ll make an announcement.
3. I accidentally collected the gift. What will happen? Will I be banned or penalised?
No, don’t worry if you accidentally collected the gift. It may take longer for Deca to correct the issue in your park since it’s easier to remove the gift from the menu. If you've claimed the gift, do not spend the gems, DC, and treats because if the hacked amounts are revoked it could impact your original currency totals, or you could lose the items.
4. Has my personal information been compromised?
Deca has stated, 'To appease players' worries, we want to inform you, that none of your sensitive personal data, like payment information, is handled directly by Deca, so your data is not in danger of being leaked to or accessed by third parties'.

I collected the illegal gems this morning without actually checking what they were about, as it was still very early before my brain woke up. I haven't spent any of them so I hope at least that will help DECA retrieve them when they manage to get this horrifically annoying (for them) bug fixed.

I think that you are fine spending any gems that you had before you collected the hacked gems. I think that the message is aimed at players who don't have a lot of gems - don't spend more gems that you had before you claimed the hacked gems.
If Deca try and reclaim all the hacked gems from park's that have already spent some or all of the gems, the park will end up with a 'negative' number of gems.
I don't know that this is what will happen, it is only a guess.
There are now reports of players receiving a third gift from the hacker. The hacker has minimised the amounts to a more reasonable 100-200 gems, so the gift doesn’t look as 'hacked'. 😆 They’re trying to trick players into claiming the gifts.
More players have also had the hacked gifts removed by Deca.

Don’t accept the hacked gifts. Keep watching ads and buy the occational gem. If Deca can’t make any money from DragonVale they have no reason to keep the parks running.
That being said, I accidentaly accepted two hacked gifts, and I’m not sure how many gems I’ve spent since then, and I usually have very few gems, so now I dare not use any more gems until Deca has sorted everything out. Sigh, complicated. And if I want to collect the last gift of the event I have to pay 220 gems to catch up, due to the previous loading bug. Sigh again, I can’t do that due to the unwanted hacked gems.

Most players are hoping that Deca will work out the compensation prior to the end of the event, as there are many in the same boat and needing 100s of gems to catch up on the daily event login rewards. Don't spend any gems catching up, at least until the last minute, to give them time. We still have through this coming weekend.
