Quil Pretty sure that you need to use a Rune stone to reactivate the cave. Give me a minute and I'll find the post.
Edit. The extra runestone that we received was to compensate for the tutorial cave closing early. This runestone could be used to reactivate this cave and enable you to claim from the cave.

One of my friend's parks was affected; the cave that got auto-closed didn't have the claim reset either. I think the compensation Runestone was effectively meant to be used for that.

There was another post made about this situation where players had purchased runestones. If the cave doesn't re-open, they are supposed to give a runestone to enable you to reactivate the cave that purchased a runestone for and subsequently lost. With their comment that you don't need a runestone for the tutorial cave, I think they are referring to the 'default' cave. They probably don't understand that you mean the cave immediately to the left of this one. But the tutorial cave is covered with the extra runestone that we received. Whether you use it to open the tutorial cave or another cave it doesn't matter. You will still be able to claim two dragons from it.

I understand the anger and frustration from players, but Deca's compensation is not meant to give players less than what they paid. There's just some honest confusion and misunderstanding with CS. Much appreciated adlerist! I was posting here mostly for my own understanding, it wasn't clear it me if the tutorial cave unlocked for everyone as part of the fix and her park had a 'new' bug that needed reporting, or if the misunderstanding was just with the service folks working the support emails.
appreciate it thank you Adlerist! But this is really getting ridiculous now. I can’t watch any videos for anything without it crashing and while it’s annoying for some things- it’s really got annoying with regard to EC. I’ve been tempted a few times to spend money but I’m refusing with all the crashing. Even more frustrating is that Deca haven’t replied to a single email I’ve sent.

I've just noticed something that would be quite weird if it was a bug (though I'm not 100% sure if it's a bug).
I have two water-traited level-15 Krampus dragons. The only difference between them is that they have different names. There's a chance I may have mistakenly hatched a second traited Krampus, forgetting that my first was also traited (if I ever breed a traited variant of a dragon I hatch it and put it in the Rift hiberrnation cave, but only if I don't already have a traited version; usually if the amount of dragons I have prior to the breed is 1 I assume that that one's untraited, but generally I check), but I wouldn't have then fed it to level 15 when I already have another one. There's a small chance I just didn't find the already-level-15 one and fed the baby one to level 15, but that's unlikely as I wouldn't have forgotten that I got a traited Krampus since I was using it to get Yeti, and it's a coincidence that I would have gone with the same level, since I usually go to 14 or 16.
Is there a chance the first Krampus could have somehow duplicated itself? Is that a bug that happens occasionally/has been reported? I'm 99% certain I didn't hatch and feed the second, but I've never heard of a bug like this before.

I figure it has to deal with the new android version, so do any other players experience this?

I haven’t seen reports about this, and the other reps haven’t mentioned complaints from their communities. You’ll probably want to open a support ticket and let Deca investigate.

I don’t believe it’s been fixed. Players probably have Hooded hibernated or baby-fied.

Oh sweet! I didn't know you could just leave it as a baby (or put it in the fountain of youth) to keep the bug from happening. Now I can give my Hooded dragon a home!

Did the new event start prematurely for anyone else? The DECA FAQ for Snowy Winter Ball said the Market would close "The Snow Ball Castle will close on January 24th at 07:00 AM Mountain Time". It was still ~30m out from that time point but my app started the Flower Festival and I've lost my Magic EC

The event ended prematurely for me also. I wondered if there was a time change somewhere in the world that affected it.
