No word from Deca, but it sounds like they’ve made some progress if they removed the gems from your park.
At this point, if you collected the hacker's gems, and the amount is lower than a thousand, it’s probably fine. Problems occur when Deca sees a park with an exorbitant amount of gems that the player could not have earned or purchased. They have said they will ban parks with excessive gems.
Are you able to be more specific than "excessive gems" or did Deca not give a specific amount? My little parks are lower level but due to only spending gems on dragons I really want in those parks (compared to my main account where I'm trying to complete the Dragonarium) they have quite a bit. One is close to being over 1000. Will Deca ban it just because I happen to have a lot due to not spending them?
Also, I'm sure I read during the height of the hacking incident that Deca said they wouldn't be banning accounts due to the fact that there was never any notification in game that the gems were hacked so anyone who doesn't use the online sources might not have realised they were bad. If I'm remembering correctly it seems unfair to go back on that.
I don't think 1000 gems counts as excessive.
With the hacked gems, one player received 1,000,000. They could not honestly have believed that they received them for being an outstanding player. 😉
Most gems that the hacker was 'giving' was under 1,000 so less suspicious. I can't remember exactly what one park received as they are now gone, but the other park received 116 and 94. As there was a bug in circulation at the time, some players possibly did think that it was genuinely from Deca and collected them. I'm sure that Deca won't be banning them. 😊

Deca never made an announcement about the hacked gifts, their banning policy, or told players if they accepted the hacker’s gems there would be no repercussions. A lot of players speculated about this on Reddit, and there were plenty of assumptions. But there was no official statement from Deca, so there’s no way they can go back on their word.
From our discussions with Deca about this topic, it is highly unlikely they will ban a player for claiming the hacker’s gifts. However, if the hacker (or somebody else) sent you tens of thousands, millions, or trillions of gems (each of the hacker’s gifts was either under 200 gems or one trillion), then you can be banned. You may not have hacked the game, but you accepted currency that was clearly not legitimate, and you now have a huge advantage.
If you or other players accidentally claimed the hacker’s gift and you’re concerned about being banned, contact support and ask them to remove the gems. In addition, players can ask support to delete the hacked gifts from their Social menu if they’re worried about mistakenly claiming them.
As I mentioned earlier, players who have an excessive amount of currency that they could not have possibly earned and have not purchased can be banned because they obviously did not obtain it through regular gameplay or in-app purchases; therefore, it is cheating.

Thank you for clarifying. I was just asking because earlier on in your comment you mentioned 1000 gems as a sort of benchmark and I wanted to know how "official" that was, as it were.
Also, sorry for the misremembering. I could have sworn I saw an official announcement that said "don't worry if you accidentally collected the gems, you won't be banned" but I must have misremembered a speculation or something as official.

Deca is again looking into the ad crashes for iPhone users. They have asked for the Friend IDs of players who are affected to further help with the investigation. So far, these are the players who have reported the inability to watch adverts on this thread over the last two months.
• You are no longer having ad issues (otherwise, your park will be passed on to Deca) • You are using a device that is not an iPhone • Your Friend ID listed above is incorrect
Please be aware, this is to address the advert crashes only. Other crashes are separate issues.
If anyone else is affected, please post or message me your Friend ID, and if you could confirm the device you’re using that would be helpful. Thank you!
Hi adlerist, as of this writing, the ads are normal again. This is from my ~3 weeks checking.
I am still using same iphone device.
I have observed few ads crash but a simple app restart or phone restart solves the problem.
Thanks for the support.

Every time I try to watch a video (either for the Colosseum, Tolzar for roses, T’Saishen) the game kicks me out. I have changed the game to low resolution. I have force-closed the game. Still happens. Is anyone else having this problem?

This was happening to a lot of us for a while. The only thing that seemed to work was uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Thank you so much for the advice. I'll try that when I finish work tonight.

. Be sure to let the timer bar fill in all the way before trying to finish the ad. Once I started paying more attention to that, the ads stopped crashing the game.

Yep, I had that issue for the past few months, but particularly when watching Monopoly Go ads. *fingers crossed* that issue has been rectified.
In this instance though, I don't even get a glimpse of the ad; I am kicked out of the game before it even loads.

I can report ads that are causing problems and request their removal. To do this, the ad needs to be identified so Deca can have them pulled. Here’s the information that is required:
1. Name of the advert 2. Name of the ad provider. Please review this post for instructions on how to find the name of the ad provider. 3. List the problems the advert is causing 4. Your device and model (iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 4th generation, iPhone 15, etc.)

I know there's a bug that, if the Ornamental Element is included in the breeding dragons, Ornamental becomes a possibility to be bred.
However, the Ornamental Dragon is unavailable at this time.
Despite this, I got an 18H timer trying to double-clone Harmony Dragons for a pedestal, which ended up being an Ornamental Dragon.
Is this a bug revolving around Ornamental's availability, or does the ornamental element breeding bug take priority over availability?
Unfortunately, that’s the bug. Ornamental can be an outcome, even if Ornamental is not available. All that’s required is the ornamental element.
This is one of the oldest bugs the reps have reported. It started under Backflip. I ask Deca to look at it every year before the winter event, but it appears to be a difficult fix. Thankfully, Deca did address the Dazzling bug several years ago because Dazzling is such a long fail.

Honestly I’m so fed up with this bug. I can’t keep track of which ads are doing it, coz it’s honestly every single one. I can’t watch ads to speed up timers, for extra food, double login bonuses and most annoyingly for extra EC. I know it’s not my phone- I’m on an iPhone 15 and I don’t have this problem on any other game. I turn my phone off and back on again every other day and I’ll find this fixes it for the odd ad once or twice before I’m back to them not working at all. And I followed Deca’s advice and i have been uninstalling and reinstalling the game about once a week - and again, it fixes it for one or 2 ads before I’m back to this. So I’m refusing to spend money on it and I’m just trying to get by without the ads. So frustrating though on the double days when I’m missing out on 300 EC!!

I don’t have this exact issue with my iPhone 14 or my iPad Pro. But every now and then, when attempting to watch an ad, the game instantly crashes. No part of the ad shows. If I keep trying to watch adverts, it will happen several times in a row because it looks like the same ad keeps trying to play. Usually, when I watch an ad, if I watch another, it’s the same ad. It is not uncommon for me to receive the same advert half a dozen times in a row. If I wait a little while, they rotate and a different ad will show. So when the game instantly crashes due to an advert, I wait several hours for the ads to change and a new one that does play will show.
It sounds like you’re either receiving a lot of buggy ads, or the ads are not rotating and you keep receiving the same one. I asked Deca about this issue earlier this week since the complaints have continued. Just so you know, Deca doesn’t own or oversee the ads, so they can’t directly work on the issue. Like most developers, they use a third-party ad provider, so that company will need to check the status of the adverts. Perhaps ads for a different platform got mixed into the iOS adverts, and it's causing the game to crash since it can't play them. I’ll ask again on Monday and give Deca your Friend ID again, in case it’s an issue with your park.
Apologies for the frustration. I know how you feel. I had this same issue for quite a while. So sorry this is happening to you.

Much appreciated Adlerist! And yes I know it’s not Deca- I know it’s a third party thing. But yup super frustrating! I think I’m just really fortunate that I’ve played it since its launch and I’m established enough that I can get by without the ads. I just try not to let it grate me too much on those double days and extra 300 EC….😬🤣☺️
Crashing on ads again… we shouldn’t have to deal with this…
So they have no control over the ads? Get another ad company.
That’s what I suggested several years ago when the ads were massively problematic for almost all iOS players. Guess what, that is exactly what Deca did. But it’s not as easy as just 'getting another ad company'. First, they’re likely under contract, so they may have to wait until that expires. Second, there are only so many third-party ad providers indie developers can use and afford.
The current ad company is a lot better than the previous one, which had glitchy adverts affecting all players on iOS in the US. That’s a large population. Currently, the ad issues are causing crashes for some players. Android and many iOS users are not affected. So, it’d be more difficult for Deca to leave the provider because the new provider might actually be worse.
I understand the anger and frustration, and to players, it seems like a simple solution of just getting a new provider. But for a developer, it’s much more complicated.
There have been tips suggested by Deca’s support and Forum members. While we’re waiting for the ad company to locate the bug and/or problematic ads:
• Power cycle (restart) your device. Turn off your device, wait a few minutes, then restart. • Reinstall the game. Delete the app and reinstall. Only do this if your game is saved to Games Center or Google, and be sure to copy your Park ID. • Change your location with a VPN. If you have access to a VPN, change the country of your IP address to receive a different set of adverts.

The last couple of days I have had my game crash when trying to watch an ad. There is no indication of what the ad is, just an instant crash. When I start the game again that ad has moved on and I can usually watch another ad in the cycle without any problem. It won't be easy for Deca or the ad provider to identify the ad as I'm unable to provide them with any details.
It crashed this morning for the Colosseum ad. Although it was annoying having to restart the game, I didn't lose the ad at the Colosseum and was able to watch another one.

This happens to me as well. I mentioned it in this post. It occurs about once a week. The rest of the ads play during the remainder of the week with no problem on my iPad Pro and iPhone.
I’ve also noticed that when the insta-crash occurs, I can replay the ad at the Colosseum or Tolzar’s Optical Oracle. So I don’t lose gems or event currency.

Still experiencing all manner of crashes related to ads. Losing points, gems and game money. No more ‘donations’ from me til they permanently resolve this mess. I’ve notified DECA of my disappointment and my intentions.
Beginning of email to DECA==>My game continues to crash in many different ways when trying to view or after viewing one of your ads. As a result, I’m losing a lot of game rewards. Don’t tell me that I don’t have enough memory. I have am iPad Pro with the most memory you can have. I don’t want to hear that you have no control of the ads… ultimately, it’s DECA’s responsibility. I’ve been playing this game since it was introduced and there weren’t any problems but as this game has grown, evolved and changed hands, the problems have increased exponentially. Until you fix this problem and get a handle on problems in new releases/modifications I will no longer make any ‘donations’.<==End of message
