Does the new Melody habitat count towards the habitat cap? Habitats that don't count towards the cap usually say that in their description.
braff20 - Did you notice if your number of available habitats decreased when you bought you Melody habitats?
The FB rep just tested this, and the Melody habitat does count against your habitat total.

Is there still no reply in regards to the evolution decorations being made available in the event shop via guaranteed chest? Especially know when we need the wrath to have a shot at the limited in the rift. I got this gut feeling that if I splash all my gems on mini game chest, the next day it will be made available in the event shop I feel so empty inside haha *Nervous laugh*
On another note: are you all sure that the end of DST in Germany will take effect (on those not living in Germany)? In the previous years the time in USA was the dominating factor. Are the servers now really located in Germany?
The data is all coming from Google's servers. They use the Google could services, and they could have picked any number of locations across the globe. My guess is that Backflip stuck with Colorado. I have the address, but I can't track down the geo location because Google headquarters in CA is the owner of them all. Deca would not have moved the servers, as you want to keep them centralized closest to your primary users and it's my understand that moving servers is not easy.
Sending you Koalas and a knap sack full of apples! 🤗
If that doesn’t help, I’ll meet you at the whine lounge. I’ll bring the candy 🌽 , you bring the 🥜! 😉😁

And if that doesn't work, feel free to borrow some of the koalas from my Halloween island. They're all out frolicking happily in the pumpkin patch. I even took a picture of one and turned it into my new avatar. May it bring good fortune and many twins to all my forum friends. 🎃🎃🎃
Awe! 🥰 Pumpkin patch koalas are the absolute cutest!! 🐨🎃🐨🎃🐨🎃🐨🎃🐨

Every day, at least one of the Game Reps has asked Deca to add the Guaranteed Chest to the event market, including today.
There’s been no final word from Deca, so we do not know if they’ll add the Chest or not. I’ll ask again over the weekend and on Monday. I know it’s really frustrating. Sorry about that.

I asked Deca for confirmation on this earlier today. If there’s no change hopefully that will end the DST confusion.

I do have a concern about Heavy Metal's description... it states "bada**," and while that isn't awful on the surface we need to remember that this game is supposed to be geared towards kids. Also, as someone who personally doesn't use that type of language, it was a bit jarring to see that written in a "safe place" for me...

Agree. Let's let DECA know.
I've posted in the Discord's talk-to-deca channel; hopefully this will be resolved relatively soon.

But apart from the minor concern I outlined above, I am stoked about this new element! I was actually planning on designing dragons for a future "melody" element, but I guess now I'll just be adding on to it! I really hope DECA recognizes how much music can change people's lives and how crucial it is that they can highlight the importance of music in people's lives and not just portray music as a "party," as referenced in the habitats' descriptions. I'm cautious yet hopeful for this new addition to the game, and from what DECA's demonstrated so far I have faith in their ability to convey this idea in a meaningful fashion. Long live DragonVale!

This was discussed quite a bit immediately after Heavy Metal’s release. In the US and Australia (one of the reps is in Australia) the word has a 'stronger' definition and is considered a swear word. Whereas, the reps and Deca employees in Europe do not have this interpretation (that’s not to say everyone in Europe shares this perspective). So Deca wasn’t purposefully trying to be offensive. There’s been no final decision on whether they’ll change it, but I thought you’d like to know it has been brought up and they’re aware of the situation. You may want to contact Deca if you have concerns.

I’m in the U.S. and it doesn’t bother me. I think it fits the dragon and it’s often used to describe heavy metal or rock musicians, but I can see people having a problem with it. Every now and then there’s something that gets lost in translation and BFS had to change it and this has happened with DECA in the past too. I’m sure DECA will change it if people want them to.
I just think it’s so cool Heavy Metal plays his tail like a guitar lol really made me laugh.

I agree that music is playing an important part in people s life but I confess Heavy Metal is just awful to my ears! For me music is harmony and emotion. But I am just an old lady who doesn’t understand the music choices of the young people. I stick to classic music and wait for a Rachmaninov dragon lol.

Oh yes, heavy metal is not my favorite at all. Classical music all the way!!! As a young person I can confidently say that our music choices aren't all bad... just most of them! As an oboist I might be inclined to lean towards classical/orchestral music but I get goosebumps every time I listen. Music is so life changing, and even if I don’t like heavy metal I can appreciate what DECA is trying to do. Let’s just see how this goes.

I'm not a metalhead, but it's not necessarily any more disharmonious than rock.
Fair, but rock isn’t my favorite either! 😂 I guess I’m just very picky as to what music I like to listen to- only classical or orchestral music will do for me!

If you had the misfortune of being tested on music history, you have more of an appreciation how sound developed over time. However, not even that could cure me. Not a clue how people sit through hours of pieces.
I feel like gaining a better understanding of how sound developed over time would be extremely interesting, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to take that class relatively soon. As for listening to hours and hours of pieces, I do think that listening to music is something that needs to be enjoyed on a personal level- if you like listening for a certain amount of minutes, that works for you, and if I like listening to longer or shorter pieces than you, that works too! Music is an experience that has different meaning to everyone, and that’s why it’s so important to me and to our society, regardless of genre.

BFS renamed the Scoria dragon due to a problem with it's initial name in certain parts of the world. I'm sure this will be fixed soon enough.
