I'm trying not to go crazy buying decorations and habitats right now, but I did go ahead and purchase another Spooky habitat. And I have to say things are looking much better on my Halloween island.
I'm really happy with the way things look right now, because I finally have enough space to put my two little sneks and vampires together in one place.

I seem to be having extraordinarily bad luck with the Pit of Despair during this event. I always use 2 level 20 dragons and I always have all of the elements covered. Yet, several times I've gotten only 10 candies (20 on double days) instead of the usual 30 or 60. It used to happen in past events, but very rarely. Now it seems pretty common. Has anyone else experienced this? I would hope that DECA hasn't changed the odds on this. It would be a pretty random and not very nice thing to do.
Also taking a deep breath and accepting that Aurora and Party dragons are going to show up far more often than they should considering their breeding odds...

I was having this problem until someone posted to use a double rainbow for your dragon and the highest ranked dragon for one of the elements you can find in your friends lists. Much less fun but guaranteed top earner every time, hope this helps 🐨🤞🏼

I have also noticed this and was sure that I had all elements covered. I have gone back to using Level 20 Rainbow element dragons.

If you don't want to try the Double Rainbow trick, check whether your friends have elders up. If there's an elder in your friends list, the game will see that as the highest level, so if you have a dragon that can fulfil the remaining elements, you should pair that with the elder!
For example, I have a friend (who's probably stopped playing) with an Air elder up. If I get the Cold-Air-Light-Dark combo, I would select my friend's Air elder and my Quantum or Clairvoyant, both of which have Cold, Light and Dark elements. Usually that helps me get full candies. Hope this helps!

I went nuts, redid 8 islands. Best part - bought melody habitat and then accidentally SOLD it instead of storing it... le sigh.

Not once below 30/60, using triple rainbow
I started using my Surprise dragon because it's much lower earning than my Rainbow dragons.
PSA: FANTASTIC NEWS! The Guaranteed Chest for the evolve decorations will be added to the event market!
It was a hard-fought battle of persisting every day, but at last, you will finally be able to complete your evolve decoration collections! I’ll let you know when they’re in the event market.
OTHER EVENT UPDATES
• Heavy Metal’s naughty word was changed.
• The invisible giant Melody habitat bug has been fixed! Feel free to place Melody anywhere you wish.
PSA: Do not place the giant Melody habitat in the north corner of an island — it could cause crashes.
Please see this post for screenshots of the problematic locations on an island.
If you place the giant Melody habitat in these areas, the habitat will be invisible (only the music notes will display).
And if you move the island’s portal, the portal will disappear, and your game will crash non-stop.
This is a screenshot taken by CalliAlli, the FB Rep. One of her players had the giant Melody habitat in the invisible location. They moved the portal to the other empty square (circled in green). When they moved the portal, it vanished, and now their game crashes constantly.
If you have an invisible Melody habitat, move it a couple spaces so it is visible, as soon as possible.
I tested the large and small Melody habitats, and they do not have the invisible glitch. It appears the giant habitat is the only one with the bug.
Deca is aware of the issue, and I’ll update everyone when there’s more information.

Could someone put a Wrath dragon up in the co-op for me? I have 7 tendrils of wrath, so I can't get the darn dragon yet!!
You cannot clone Wrath in the co-op. You need two Wrath dragons to breed Wrath. The good news is you’ll be able to buy the Guaranteed Chest in the market to complete your evolve decoration set.
