Wait, it doesn't affect the whole island? For that price I would hope it did...
It is an Island habitat sized circle, with the "weather machine" in the center. If placed at the lower point of the island, only half of the island receives the effect. The lower half of the circle area covers other islands. Snow and rain cover the entire circle. Leaves creates a donut of leaves, the center is clear.
Each dragon with the correct element on that island does show a plus next to the income.

adlerist , do you know whether DECA is going to remove the Paradise dragons in the DW from the next event (assuming the next event will be a Paradise event)? Or will they keep them in there, and effectively this is just a bonus week of trying to breed them? (Or do you not know/can you not say?)

If you have 50 gems spare, 50 gems get you 2B DC in the coin exchange at max level.
Nah I don’t swap gems for DC, not when gems are more limited! In fact, I try to be very frugal with my gems unless there’s tangible benefit towards my fire goals (like twin weekend). I’ve been behind on islands for a while, this is the first time I’ve been so close to catching up! I can keep saving and waiting until the next event
Update: I used Kairos followed by Ts’aishen and earned 350m before bonuses - so presumably that’s what I get in a day at the minimum (more if I clear habitats before they max). By that math, I should have my 2B before the week is up 🤑 and the last island shall be mine!
ETA: realised there’s ANOTHER island that I don’t have (35) because I’m not max level, but I won’t have enough DC to get it even if I grind to 175 so the quest continues

I wasn't going to buy them, but after seeing them in action, I am very, very tempted. 😊
Checking to see if anyone has a current map of location of each island by number. I did a search and found Steelbluefire’s map but it only goes up to the 25th island. My smaller parks have many missing islands and I am trying to purchase a specific one.

Yes, I do know, but I’d rather not say. The Paradise dragons were purposefully added to this Dragon’s Week. It’s a long story that I won’t get into, but they are supposed to be available. In previous and future Dragon’s Weeks, there will not be dragons included that will be released so soon. This should be a one-off.

🍂 LEAVES GENERATOR 🍂
Let the greatest season shine on with falling leaves all year! The Leaves Generator has two 'comets' that whirl around. A screenshot doesn’t capture the magic, so I took a video. The leaves created a path for the two comets that rotate in a circle.
If you place the Leaves Generator near the middle of the island, the circle of leaves will appear around the circumference. My harvest island has the Leaves Generator with the autumn comets bolting through Fuefuego’s ring of fire.
🌧️ RAIN GENERATOR 🌧️
Nothing cleanses the Vale like a splash of rain. The Rain Generator will wash away your worries! There are large round droplets that make it easier to see the rainfall.
FUN FACT: Bogberrys love the rain! Despite the giant drops, the rain was not appearing in a screenshot, so I took a video of the Bogberrys bringing in the cash with the Rain Generator’s two per cent DC boost.
❄️ SNOW GENERATOR ❄️
It’s snowing on the winter island thanks to the Snow Generator!
As theresa said, the generators create an effect that covers an island if the generator is placed in the centre. If you put the generator near the edge of the island, the effect extends to neighbouring islands. Here’s the Snow Generator at the edge of the winter island, casting snow all the way to the Cooperative Breeding Cave (I circled the generator on the island).
But, if you have two generators, you can easily cover the island. And if you want two effects on the island, you can use two different generators. Here’s the full snow coverage with two Snow Generators on opposite ends of the island.
However, if you want heavier snowfall, simply buy more generators! The dragons on the winter island are enjoying the blizzard with four Snow Generators.
You can also mix and match snow, rain, and leaves. Here's all three generators hanging out at school together.
And if you haven’t upgraded the smaller lost islands, the generator’s weather will cover the length of the island.
Weather Generators Information
• The Weather Generators are permanent. I know it appears they’re limited with the hourglass, but they are permanent and the hourglass will be removed.
• Weather Generators provide a 2% DC boost to dragons on the island that matches the generator’s element: Rain = water element, Leaves = air element, Snow = cold element.
• You can have multiple generators on one island, and you can have different types of generators on an island.
• The Weather Generators are only 1x1. This means you don’t have to redesign your entire island to place them. They take up the space of a single pedestal. Super convenient! If they were larger, I would not have purchased them because redesigning all my islands is too time-consuming.
The Weather Generators are easily one of the best things Deca has created for DragonVale. Newer players may not buy them since they’re saving gems for other things. But for endgamers who have been hoarding gems for years with nothing to spend them on except speeding up breeds, the generators are a perfect addition to their park.

Awesome post, adlerist! I love all the pics and videos. This is a very detailed account of what the generators will do. That’s really cool that we can buy four generators and make a blizzard. I’m tempted to see what eight will look like! 😆 Will the island just be a white blob? I also like how the generators work with each other and make some crazy weather.
The generators are such a great idea! DECA really outdid themselves. I’d love to have one on each island.
Question: does the 2%stack? So if I’m making a blizzard, would my cold dragons get 8% boost?
Yes, I believe it does! The Rain Generators can boost my Bogberry DC farm, but I’d have to collect from it frequently to have it pay off. If anyone has a Yarr farm, the Rain Generators could be of use, or an Iden farm with the Leaves Generator. But you’d have to buy a lot of generators.

I have placed the leaves generator on my island with the autumn theme as it already has leaves falling, so the generator adds to that effect.
The snow generator is on a winter island – obviously. I don't think the Sun dragons would appreciate a continuous snow effect. 😊
I can’t decide where to put the rain generator. I’m not sure that any dragons would like to be rained on all day and night. I’m thinking that the pedestal island might be the best place.

During Dragons Week, I’m trying to breed dragons that I don’t have traited yet. I’m convinced that the rift is taunting me! ‘You want a Cansian – here’s one, but it doesn’t have a trait HAHAHAHA. Oh a Sugarmiten – here you are, but it doesn’t have a trait either HAHAHAHA.’ 😈
Is it possible to ask Deca if, during Dragons Week, breeding in the rift will always give traited dragons? It is so discouraging with only a week to breed them, to receive un-traited versions.
(I’d like the rift to always give traited dragons, but that probably will never happen. 😊)

I've managed to get three new islands from the expansion extravaganza! I now have 18 - which is exactly enough to have an island for one of each of the island themes I currently have. I reckon by the next expansion event I'll have enough DC for 2 more islands, which will be nice. When I first started playing I never would have dreamed of having such a large park - I'm fairly sure this is the only park where I've progressed further than level 30. 😁
I'm glad the generators are permanent. I don't have nearly enough gems for them especially since I'm still getting dragons, and I'm saving wishes for the higher gem-cost things, but I really want them. Hopefully they'll show up in events at some point...
