So I'm doing the Scavenger Hunt through the old DV Tips Strategies and Help thread - nice and long, because I find pages load faster within a thread - and it's been both fascinating and extraordinarily bittersweet, particularly seeing when Fletch_smf took a break in 2014 and people were wondering where he was and whether they could summon him back by talking about floodgates. His return was celebrated and even triggered the return of Poppy, who had also gone on a bit of a break.
There have been a lot of good people who have come and gone from this forum, but at this moment I'm especially missing one of them.

Fun Fact: For years, I used an iPhone exclusively to do everything on the Forum. I used Desktop only, not the mobile version. It was a little nuts with the event thread, the themes, and adding code. 😅 I don’t know why I did that because I had an iPad Pro and PC. These days, I use an iPad Pro for 90% of the Forum work. The remaining 10% is on an iPhone or PC. It’s just easier because I can move around with a tablet or phone, and everything instantly syncs.

All the previous dragons (Snowball, Lokilure, Venture, Mystery Egg, Flicker, Gift, Mistletoe, and Fire in a Dragonsai Tree) from earlier in the week have now returned for a variety of dragons to find! Flicker, Venture, and Lokilure are my favourite animations. I like the surprise of not knowing what you'll discover on the Forum's pages. It is the delight of anticipation.

Haha! I only use my phone on the forum. By the time I’m home, I’m usually too tired to spend time on the computer. The Scavenger Hunt is fun on a phone. I find the dragons when I’m reading or posting. It’s a nice bonus!

And tomorrow, on New Year’s Day, each dragon will be worth 1-3 dragons! A final boost before the 12 Days of Winter Scavenger Hunt concludes on 2 January at 7.00 pm MST (UTC-7), 12 hours after the DV daily reset. The Hunt was extended, since it got a late start due to the ProBoards login issue.
