I kept searching until I found it. No surprise that Chomp is hoarding all the food.
I just... That's so... Can't believe... Wow - not sure which dragon/avatar I had in mind to wear the cornucopia, but I know it wasn't Baby Chomp.

To celebrate the season, the DragonVale Community Forum is introducing the 12 DAYS OF VALE HOLIDAY SCAVENGER HUNT!
Find as many dragons as you can, and the top five players will be immortalised on the Scavenger Hunt Hall of Fame on the first page of this thread.
START AND END DATES
Starts: December 25th at the daily reset of DragonVale
Ends: January 6th at the daily reset of DragonVale
HOW TO PLAY
Festive dragons are randomly dispersed all over the Forum. Each day there will be a new dragon to collect. Just read the Forum as usual, or click around and scroll away to find all the dragons. If you recall, the 12 Days of Vale carol that was posted on the first page of the Season of Goodiness thread, revealed which dragon would be featured for each day.

On your mini profile, there is a stocking to store all the dragons you found. The mini profile will keep track of how much you’ve collected, and display which dragon is hidden for the day. If you click on the stocking, a message will show confirming your dragon total.
When you find a dragon, click or tap on it. It’ll be added to your stocking and this pop-up will show
NEW ADDITION TO THE HUNT
To keep in line with the 12 Days of Vale theme, and to put more holiday spice into the hunt, every day, 12 hours after the DV reset, the dragons you can find will slightly change.
On Day 1, baby Fire in a Dragonsai tree will be the dragon to locate. This will remain the same all day.
On Day 2, Mistletoe will be the featured dragon. However, 12 hours into the day, Mistletoe and baby Fire in a Dragonsai tree will both be randomly hiding on the Forum.
On Day 3, Gift is the dragon, and 12 hours later, Gift, Mistletoe, and baby Fire in a Dragonsai tree can be found.
So, by Day 12 when Yule is featured, 12 hours into the day, any of the 12 dragons (and mystery egg) will be available dragon gifts to find — just like the 12 Days of Vale song.
The images will be randomly selected and randomly placed on a random page of the Forum. It may be a little more challenging because you won’t know what you’re looking for — but since dragons do not stand still, most of the images are animated so they will jump out (the mystery egg is the only item not animated; baby Fire’s Dragonsai tree has animated gem twinkles, which are difficult to see in its minimised hunt size). And of course to further help with the hunt, we still have the prize Detector with all new images.
PRIZE DETECTOR
After you find 5 dragons, you will unlock the prize Detector. Since the Forum has thousands of pages, and many are very long, it would be extremely tiresome to scroll through page after page looking for dragons with little to no reward. The Detector will be immensely beneficial to help you find even more dragons.
In the lower right-hand corner of your screen, there is a toolbar. If it’s hidden, click on the small arrow to expand it (on a tablet or phone, you may need to tap several times before your device responds). When you’ve unlocked the Detector, an animated present icon will appear on the toolbar.
The Detector has two images: activated and deactivated. The activated image is a present / tree / snowman with a dark blue background. If the Detector is activated, that means there is a dragon on the page. The deactivated image is a present with a light blue background. If the Detector is deactivated, that means there’s no dragon.
If you click on the Detector icon in the toolbar the following animated images will display.

TIP: Once you collect 5 dragons, click on the Scavenger Hunt leaderboard (more info on the leaderboard below) so it syncs your total, then the Detector icon will show in the toolbar.
The Detector will save you from spending your days scrolling through lengthy pages. There’s no time for that — it’s already Christmas!
HOW MANY DRAGONS WILL FIT IN A HOLIDAY STOCKING?
There will be a random number between 1-15 dragons for you to find with each visit to the Forum. So if the Detector hasn’t alerted you in a while, your stocking may be full and you’ll need to revisit.
Whenever you open a page, there may or may not be a dragon hiding. You can find a dragon on the Home page, open a thread, then return to the Home page and a dragon may be there again. There’s only one dragon per page, so no need to keep looking; the Detector will turn off. Almost any page can have a dragon, including a reply on a thread or message.
Lurkers and members not logged in will still see the dragons on the Forum. If they click on one, they’ll receive a message encouraged them to join the festive hunt.
LEADERBOARD
On the navigation tree, click on the Scavenger Hunt button and you’ll see how many dragons your fellow Valers have collected.
The leaderboard can fall out of sync with the mini profile after several hours. It will sometimes show an incorrect, lower amount. If you collected a small amount of dragons, after several hours of inactivity, you may no longer be on the leaderboard. In addition, sometimes a 'null' value will show instead of the collection count.
If there’s a discrepancy between the count on your mini profile and the leaderboard, or if you’re no longer on the leaderboard, finding another dragon will usually resolve the issue and sync the leaderboard with your mini profile. Please be aware, the leaderboard amount could decrease again, after several hours of inactivity. However, your mini profile is always keeping an accurate track of the number of dragons you’ve found. Therefore, at the end of the Scavenger Hunt, the totals from the mini profile will be used to determine the winners.
There is a known issue with a 'null' value appearing on the leaderboard instead of the collection amount. I’ll be testing this bug further. Instead of clearing member’s data, I will see if the null value corrects itself after a certain number of dragons are found. So if you notice the leaderboard shows null for your total, please tag or message me, so I can monitor your collection progress and ensure the null value is removed.
To prevent your mini profile and the leaderboard from falling out of sync, please follow the instructions below.
IMPORTANT
To ensure your dragon count is not disrupted
1. Do not use the back button after you find a dragon or opening the leaderboard. Try to use the Forum’s buttons and links. (It’s fine to use the back button to read and navigate the Forum, just refrain when you’re doing scavenger activities.)
2. Do not open another tab when there's a collectible dragon on the first tab, unless you’ve already collected the dragon.
3. Do not let dragons sit on the screen (they’re gonna get bored!). Collect them as soon as you spot them, or ignore them, but don’t scroll back to find it or collect them later.
Any of the above or similar actions results in stale data and can corrupt your dragon count.

As always, you must be viewing the Forum in its desktop version to participate in the hunt and you need to be a member (the leaderboard can’t keep track of your dragons as a guest). Membership is free, only requires an email, and takes mere seconds — so jump into the hunt with us, we’d love to have you onboard.
If you don’t want to play, you can ignore the enthusiastic dragons. However, if that proves to be difficult or if the dragons are too adorably distracting and you’d prefer to not see any scavenger content, please message me.

You don’t have to go through every thread. Each link / page can have a dragon (baby Fire) on it. There’s only one dragon to collect per page, and you can reopen threads / pages and find a dragon again. Also, the Detector will tell you if there’s a dragon on the page or not. The instructions in this post explains the hunt more thoroughly.

OMG the detector is life saver lol! I doubt I would’ve played without it because it would’ve been too frustrating trying to find anything on the billions of pages on the forum 😄
We know the holidays can be a tough time, especially when people cannot visit family and friends. If you want someone to talk to, or if you’re bored, come hangout with us here. Remember, in 12 hours (12 hours after DV’s reset), baby Fire will join Mistletoe and both can be found on the Forum.

The detector is a great help and encouragement to keep looking for the dragon. It can be tricky spotting them when they hide in the header or pictures in threads.
No way can I find out how to get the detector! I can’t see arrows at the bottom right of my screen (iPad) could someone please put up a pic? Thankyou
I don't do pics crusty, but hopefully I can help you with words.
If you are zoomed in on your iPad, the detector gets zoomed off the side of the screen and you won't be able to see it.
When you are fully zoomed out, on the bottom left hand corner should be a small box with a T in it for Forum Themes. On the lower right hand side is a smaller box - about half the size - with an arrow head pointing to the left. If you click on this, it should expand and give you 4 small icons - prize detector, two others and the settings cogwheel icon (reading left to right.)
You do need to be signed in to see these (I'm sure that you know this).
I hope that this helps and you can find the prize detector - it is very useful.

If it’s collapsed, tap the arrow to expand it. For me, it takes several attempts for it to expand since the corners of the iPad are not very responsive. I have an iPad pencil, which works extremely well to tap on the toolbar and its items. If you don’t have an iPad pencil, you’ll need to use your finger and tap several times (unfortunately, a regular pencil won’t work).
If you tap on the Detector image, it’ll pop-up. The animated images are the same from this post.

It looks like the leaderboard is acting up again and quite a few members are no longer showing. I’ve checked everyone’s mini profile, and your amounts are still intact, so no worries. As soon as you find another dragon, it should sync with the leaderboard (click on the leaderboard to be sure), and your correct amount should display again. (To access the leaderboard, click on Scavenger Hunt in the navigation bar.)
Please be aware, this will likely occur again, as the leaderboard has a tough time keeping up with players. But your mini profile is accurate and will always show the correct collection total.
