Three days to go before the RBCs depart - I’m currently on 287 dragons having used all but two of the caves so lots of claims available. Time to sit down and decide what I want to claim - I suspect I will be gracing a lot of twins and a few rifteds
Also I have enough berries to buy every dragon I don’t have and the pedestals, so my 660/692 Dragonarium will soon be 672/692 - not bad for someone who tapped out a few years ago and only came back in 2021!
Ps I’ve updated the base RBC checklist for all current dragons and used it to make a full list (including Galaxy and Rift-exclusives) for tracking dragons in general - HMU if you want a link. Also can you get non-twin rifted Galaxies?
There are a couple ways to obtain a regular traited Galaxy dragon that isn’t a twin:
1. Lunis, Solis, and Rigel are breedable outside the co-op, so you can bred them in the Rift for a traited version.
2. For all the other Galaxy dragons, you can obtain a regular traited version if you do not own the Galaxy dragon and obtain it from the limited Galaxy Egg of Mystery.
The Galaxy Egg of Mystery has not been available for a while, but when it does make it back to the Rift Market, if you sell all your Galaxy dragons and buy its mystery egg, you’ll receive a regular traited version of the Galaxy dragon. Some players are planning on doing this to complete their Galaxy collection.
If you collect traited pedestals, convert the traited Galaxy dragon into a pedestal first. Then the game will recognise that you don’t own the dragon, so if you buy more mystery eggs you can obtain the traited dragon. Once you have the traited dragon, if you receive the same dragon from the Galaxy mystery egg again, it’ll be a traited-twin.
(Sometime I have to laugh at all the ridiculous dragon knowledge I have stuffed in my head. If I said this anywhere else, people would think I’m absolutely bonkers. Only this community understands the madness.)

A couple of additional comments regarding the Galaxy Eggs of Mystery. They do not guarantee an unowned Galaxy dragon, so expect to receive a lot of duplicates. They also increase in price rather quickly and don't max out until 225,000 Etherium.
Real life has me hard right now and I can barely visit my park once a day. And I’m only visiting the forum to pay my pledges in the limited comp. 😕
Edit: never mind, I just saw it on page 22, and I missed it all! 😭 I never got the pop up in game either. 😭😭😭😭😭
Me too, completely missed it. My excuse is a cross-country move involving a week-long drive... barely time to get into the park once a day, no time for the forum...
Supposing one already has a full collection of decos and doesn't need more iceberries, does anyone know if it is better to sell the decos from treasure chests during the event to get iceberries (which become dragon cash at event's end) or sell them afterwards for dragon cash?

If you can be bothered, selling for iceberries - you can use those iceberries on more items from the event market, including ones with a really good rate on gold

Thank you for the comprehensive answer! Just for my understanding: 1) If you have a regular Galaxy but not a twin, can you then get a non-twin from the Egg of Mystery? Or will it immediately jump to traited twin? 2) Can you at all clone Galaxy dragons (not Rigel/Lunis/Solis) in the Rift?

If you have a regular Galaxy dragon but not a twin, a Galaxy EOM will give a twin traited Galaxy. To obtain a non twin Galaxy dragon, you must not have the dragon in your park before you purchase a Galaxy EOM.
Rigel, Lunis and Solis are the only Galaxy dragons that can be bred in the Rift. Rigel is the only galaxy that can be cloned in the Rift, Lunis and Solis must be bred. If you already have a Rift Lunis/Solis you can use it as a parent but you must breed it with a Moon/Sun. If you try Lunis + Cold you will never breed a Lunis.
Lunis and Solis can be cloned only in the co-op cave. They can both be bred in all caves.
I know that these rules are confusing - it would be nice if Deca would make the breeding rules consistent.

Further to this, will the decos sell for future event currency if I hold onto them? In particular, eggs during the Egg Hunt at Easter? I’m clearing out my gifts and whilst I can sell the decos for ice berries, I don’t really need to, given that I’ve bred all dragons and am sitting on 100K. Thanks for any possible advice!
Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890

That’s rough, especially in winter. I had the halfway cross-country-move drive last December, 2020, with 2 toddler grandkids and a cat! 🤪 so thankful it was only 4 days. 🙏🏻 I hope you got all settled without too much stress! 🌻
This time for me, it’s a fly back across country and dissolve a marriage that’s got me all out of sorts.

I have claimed my final day gift (twin Snowball), all my RBCs (twin&rifttwin Portent, twin&rifttwin Elysium, rifttwin Huddle, rifttwin Sow, rifttwin Snowball) and spent most of my iceberries filling holes in my Dragonarium - now all I need is that Candlecrown to hatch and I'll be as up to date as I can be with mostly golden prize tiers! I even have some 20k iceberries leftover - I'll probably use them to buy dragons of which I have a single Rift version, but I'll wait to see how much I end up with, might splash out on more decorations though who knows where I'm going to put them! I've really enjoyed this event - I think I get the RBCs now (Current RBC count of 295) and the new dragons were a good mix (still need to rate them whoops!) Hopefully the next event will help my chip away at the 20 dragons I'm missing!

I doubt they will change for another currency. I looked at some decos from a different event, they could be sold for 10,000 dragon cash (not iceberries). Then I looked at this-event decos, they sell for 50 iceberries. In the help tabs it says the end-of-event currency conversion will be 1,000 dragon cash per iceberry, so 50 iceberries will become 50,000 cash, or five times the post-event selling price of a deco. (I am assuming all decos sell for the same price, no matter which event they come from.) So I'm going to convert my excess decos in my gift list into iceberries.
Same here. I thought it was the last dragon so started buying habitats and dragons I didn’t have. If this is as hard to breed as the last two…Zumba will not be in my Parks.
The only tip I can suggest is to wait until the event ends and you can no longer get iceberries. There’s always 2 days extra to buy things in the market. That’s when I make all my purchases. I can’t earn anymore iceberries so I know my total and can figure out what I can afford and how many.
Adlerist usually asks DECA then lets us know if the last dragon has been released. DECA has given us extra dragons like on a Tuesday so before buying anything I’d wait until it’s been confirmed and adlerist posts that there won’t be more dragons.
Sorry this happened to you and I hope you were able to get Zumi. 😊

I believe none of the mystery eggs you can buy in the Rift guarantee an unowned dragon. I think the only time this happens is with the daily reward mystery egg, and that’s only if you don’t own all the dragons in that category.
Correct me if I’m wrong adlerist but there are several types of mystery eggs you can get from the daily rewards like Gemstone, Galaxy, Rare, and Epic. If your next reward is a Galaxy mystery egg, and you own all the Galaxy dragons, you get a random twin. Or do you get a Rift twin?
This is different than the Galaxy eggs you buy in the Rift tho. I think I might have changed the topic a little. 😅
