Pea Brain calling!!! I've installed and begun playing both the Kiwi butterfly/moth games, and have received gifts from friends (KiwiChris & Vp), but for the life of me I can't find how to return those gifts. I've looked through the settings (avoiding the Facebook hookup), but can see no way on either game to see who else is playing this game.
A few screenshots here could perhaps help others who want to explore these games.
I do love the graphics, and have blundered my way to a couple of moths - or are those the butterflies. Never mind, I suppose I'll eventually get the hang of it, and it's a peaceful atmosphere!

There should be a square at the bottom of your screen with 4 cartoon heads pictured on it. Tap that for your friends list. Edit: I don’t know how to share pics here, sorry.

I have nothing like that in either game. At the bottom of the screen there's only a butterfly icon and a paper bag icon. I've searched every pixel of the screen in the Starlight and daytime games, but in neither can I find any hint of where I can send gifts to friends.
Is it something to do with Facebook perhaps?
I'm really liking the game, except for the fact that the butterflies/moths seem to down tools if I'm not watching, so the honeydew doesn't accumulate like it does in Dragonvale. I've already spent a couple of hours creating new moths and butterflies and trying to understand all the aspects of flowers, fireflies and wee creatures that pop up periodically. If only I could visit friends and send gifts - I feel rather bad receiving gifts from friends and unable to do anything about it.

Don’t feel bad 😊 you’re often generous to me in dv, it comes around 😄 I don’t think it’s only all about fakebook, because I have you and three other ‘old’ pals from dv pre the new linkup, so dating from the Game Centre linkup. However then GC blah blah, and now it seems that, from my experiments with @dreamn , I need to have iOS 13 loaded, which I will not do due to all the horrendous glitches still occurring with it (ask @dreamn about their hellish events, eg) as reported all over apple communities.
So I don’t know how Cyn and othe were there for me, a glitch? Because @dreamn was the person who linked us up, a new link, and we did use fakebook. I have to say, that having the fb account (based on members of my extended family, a composit, with no other info put on it at all) is working fine for me. O,dear I’m rambling... I would send an email to support, they’re kiwi so friendly, and reply quickly. And ask them. Tap the gear icon top left.
I’ve got 6 buttons on my daytime game from left; butterfly and decos and goals and missions compendium, paper bag (shop), cartoon faces (friends and you), satchel (storage), calendar (of events), and box (of other games)
cecilia You need a score of 250 to unlock friend gifting in Flutter.
The score is shown on the cover of the book at the bottom of the screen. One thing to keep in mind, fuse your butterfly or moth after making a duplicate, then feed the fused critter to level it up.
Thanks Dreamn! I discovered that a few moments ago on the moth game. I thought I was trying to save 250 honeydew, but then realised it was the button at the bottom. As I came closer to 250 the friends icon gradually emerged from the doom, and eventually I tripped the meter and could send gifts to KiwiChris and Vp.
Now I'm up to about 230 on the butterfly side of the planet, so should be there before too long.

I've spent far too much time getting going with this and am trying to remember if progress was this slow when Dragonvale began. Yesterday (Starlight) something in the forest offered me a spinning wheel reward in exchange for watching ads. While reading a book, I kept spinning that dang wheel and each time earned at least 100 honeydew. I expected it to disappear after two or three spins, but it just kept on - and still works this morning. Now I feel rather disappointed that it's so much more lucrative to spin the silly wheel than collect from my moths. No wheel has appeared in Sanctuary - yet! How have you dealt with this dilemma? And thanks for the gifts!

Again it’s a levels thing I think. plus each game slightly different mechanics, the first one was the daylight game, and it’s klonkier on some mechs than the night game. I read, and have the iPad open on knee and just keep spinning the wheel 😂
prizes increase in value over days, and resets each day/24 hours. The lowest level of honey dew/coins remains thru the day and inc at reset. Watch out for dandelions to pop and chase w butterflies for extras, and falling red petals to chase and bang into for butterfly bonus currency.... And wee green insects and wee bow in insect for extra goodies and a frog and a toad i love these 2 simple games😊

cecilia, What Kiwichris said above ^^. In Starlight click on the snail to access the wheel. The game does start off a bit slow but that actually helps give time to understand the mechanics. As you go up in score things pick up speed and the wheel is very helpful with that. At Level 3000 my wheel offers a couple of 2000 coin spots, a twig, leaf, or sap (use to expand storage), a 5 glowbuck, a 1 glowbuck which you can claim once each 24 hours then they dark out. Also on the wheel are two 1000 coin spots which can be claimed as many as you feel like spinning. Most of the ads that I get I only need to watch for five seconds to claim the prize.
I've tried to work it out for myself, but I just can't work out the mission system. The owl is asking for a specific butterfly/moth, so I trot off and find the right one and so far I've tried sitting it on the twig to the right of it, and waving it all over the owl, but nothing happens. I'm doing something wrong, but can't work it out. I am absolutely hopeless at catching the falling leaves, although I've worked out to pick a nifty butterfly to chase the pink petal.
If I can just get the hang of the mission, I'll be back to my chirpy self.
cecilia, When Michelle the Owl gives you a mission (30 min, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours) look for whatever is in CAPS, then go to your Flutterpedia, Chapter 1, and read the descriptions of the moths you have. Sometimes it is a specific moth and other times it may just be any MEDIUM or RARE etc. moth. Remember the picture of the moth you choose and hunt it down, tap it and drag to just above the leaf next to the owl. It will sit on the leaf on its own. If you picked the correct moth, Michelle says “Perfect!” then tap send. If it’s the wrong moth be sure to move it off the leaf before you try another. Sometimes I just drag over the ones I think might work until I find the right one. When trying to catch dandelions be sure to use your smallest moths, they work best. No tips for catching the red leaf, I’ve only been successful a few times.

With the petal I haul in multiple butteflies and ping it from various directions and the dandelion, I just madly circle butterflies around the expanding spores to catch them all 😂
As your butteflies/moths increase in level they earn heaps overnight.
I’m struggling with the mechanics of fusing; hatched level 0 = silver body and 4 clear wings
Instructions say fuse 4 times...I thought that would be the wings, but seems it’s body and 3 wings if you fuse each time with a new hatched level 0 copy...but I can’t work out what stage each butterfly is at tho; cos some have gold body and 2 wings and will not fuse, message says ‘fully fused’ So it seems both pollen and fusing together level them up to gold??. I’ve asked the dev’s but must not be clear with my question cos the answers don’t help...
I guess I need to hatch a new one, not feed it pollen, fuse it only, And hatch another, not fuse it and only feed it pollen And see if both of them eventually get to gold...😊 scientific method rulez!!

1. Hatch the original, feed it pollen. 2. Hatch a 2nd of same, fuse with original, then feed pollen. 3. Continue until fully leveled. Pollen alone won’t level them up. When it’s full for that level, it won’t eat any more pollen. You have to fuse it with another first to go to the next level. Each one that shows a silver body or wing means it needs to be fed to level up.

Yeah, thanks, just got to there by working with Stoels Rosema 😊 silver with pollen fuse w gold so that explains the issue I’ve had with the final wing, is 3 gold wings one silver, but won’t fuse, cos it needs pollen, and the body counts as fuse one, and only fuse 4 times. See, my logic brain wants the 4 wings to be the 4 fuses...sigh 😂😂😂

I thought I'd play one, but when I saw the great graphics and realised I like moths as much as I like butterflies, I decided to play both. I think you'll find the others have done the same. Are you going to join our merry band?

Ooh,ooh, just found you can sell extras you don’t need for levelling up, from egg or caterpillar stage, don’t have to grow them to butterflies! Lol
I can't see how to sell them off before actually hatching them, but I have finally realised that how to sell off all my excess hairy legged ones, and other, before squandering precious food on the useless excesses, which is a great relief.
I've also become quite adept at cycling through the ads to earn flutterbugs while I'm reading of doing various other things. It's a bit of a toss up whether to use the currency to clear space or to feed up the new well earning butterflies/moths.
