In Flutter Starlight, I only have one Apoyo moth and it says I have to reach Social Level 20 before I can breed any more. How do I find out what my social level is? I recently acquired three new friends and have been exchanging gifts daily.

Open the friends/social icon. Select the prizes tab at the top, under the progress bar. Scroll down until you see the prize you’re working towards. There will be a circle with a number in it. That’s your social level.
In the progress bar at the top you’ll see how many points you have and the total you need to earn the next social prize. There’s a picture of the next prize to the right of the progress bar.

Thankyou SO much for that swift response. I had no idea there was that progress bar. It tells me I am at level 14 and the next prize is a Blazing Star - which I hope is the next moth in that collection.
Last night I completed the Garden Event and earned my first egg laying butterfly. Keen to try it out I decided to ask it to lay the egg of the Zebra Swallowtail as that butterfly only needs one more fuse to totally complete the Citiali set. BUT when I hit the Ability button every dragon in the sanctuary has a circle around it - all zooming all over the place. I spotted my target, but of course I missed and ended up with an egg of a different butterfly.
How on earth are you supposed to pick the target egg?
cecilia Here’s what I do... First find the egg laying butterfly to check if it’s ability is available. Then, move it to a location that’s easy to find. I use the circle of branches right under the mission bird. Second, find the target butterfly of which you want to create an egg and move it close to your egg layer. Activate egg layer and tap target butterfly.
The best time to do this is before collecting honeydew while the butterflies are still. Having a butterfly that makes all butterflies land, such as the Pipevine swallowtail from the Amigo set, is also helpful.
🦋Did you know you can have your egg layers duplicate themselves instead of another butterfly? It’s a great way to build up a collection of egg layers for events.🦋

I wish I had an egg laying butterfly. Having started to play so late in the game makes it really tough to make much progress. Not sure how long I'm going to keep this up.

Hang in there, you’ll get one. They usually show up in events or as visitors.
Don’t worry about getting every single butterfly that’s been in the game. Focus on the core sets and current events. When you run out of room, store those that earn the least and have no abilities. If you need to sell butterflies to make room, don’t worry, you still get credit for having them.

Thanks for the advice! I did message the developers and they told me that they no longer do visiting butterflies.

What's the easiest way to use an egg laying butterfly. With the butterflies flitting all over the place it's hard to locate both the egg layer and the layee (I'm sure that's not a word)

Wait until they have all landed and are ready to harvest for honeydew. Find the one you want to duplicate and move it to a location easy to find. (I use the circled branch under the bird) Find your egg layer and move it close to the layee. Activate egg layer and tap layee.
The 2nd butterfly in the amigo set, pipeline swallowtail, has the ability to make all butterflies land. It comes in very handy.

Thank you! I somehow wasted 250 FB trying to lay an egg. Don't even know how I managed that.

Ouch! 🦋🦋🦋
And the great tip that Dreamn gave me was that I could duplicate the egg laying butterfly itself. It took a week or two, but now I have three Gaudy Baron butterflies and can make a new butterfly every couple of days. I pick one that just has one or two steps to complete the final butterfly in a set, or to fully fuse one with a useful ability.

Please help.I have a Plain Tiger butterfly that can upgrade an attract flower to 100%. Do I use it when collecting an attract flower in the garden, or upgrade it from the list of flowers? Thanks!!!
I figured this one out. A very useful butterfly

Lots of questions ... What is the process for duplicating the egg laying butterfly? Thanks!

I did exactly what you do when duplicating any other. Put your finger on the egg laying butterfly, making sure it's not sitting snuggled up to any other butterfly. All the butterflies in the forest then have a ring around them - including your egg laying one, so just touch that and hey presto! There's the egg of your new egg laying butterfly. You'll have to wait another few days to make a second one to fuse with the most recent one as you'll have to get it fully fed before it has the ability to lay eggs. koala with that.

I'm not sure about this one either, but I'm sure someone will tell us. In fact I'm not sure about other 'abilities'- for instance, why would you want to make any butterfly bigger or smaller?

Thank you. As you can see I have much to learn.
You're not alone there! Aren't we fortunate to have someone like Dreamn who puts us on the right track!
