You’re exactly right! I was thinking this too. The Eagle Nebula is visible in the Vale. It’s a little small and blurry 😄 but it does indicate that the Vale is around 6,000 to 7,000 light-years from us. It sounds like the perfect place to visit for a permanent vacation.
Will the habitats be purchaseable for gems after the event? I can never get even 1 of the new starting dragons from the shop cloned, so I'll likely have to choose again

I don’t know if the Zodiac habitats will be in the standard Market after the event. I’ll ask Deca, but they may choose to not disclose that information, since they probably want players to buy the new habitats from the event market.
If you can’t afford the Zodiac habitats, the Zodiac dragons can live in an Omnitat or in the primary habitat that’s listed on their profile card.

Each of the breeding combinations matches a sun/moon dragon with a basic element (fire, earth, air, water). These four elements correspond to the classical elements of Western astrology, with the 12 signs of the zodiac split equally.
Based on the elements in the breeding hints for the limited dragons, I'm guessing we might just get dragons corresponding to the following zodiac signs: - Aquarius (January 20 - February 18, air) - Pisces (February 19 - March 20, water) - Taurus (April 20 - May 20, earth) - Gemini (May 21 - June 20, air)
Looks like Deca might be releasing the first six dragons of the year for this event!
I feel sure they will be Zodiacs. I’ve already placed a couple Zodiac habitats for them. The habitats have big footprints so it’s not easy to make room for the biggest one, but probably a good idea to have room for 6 or more of the dragons! They can go in other habitats but it will be more fun to see them grouped together.
Does anyone need several hundred tons of sand, a few dozen palm trees and tiki torches, a sunken pirate ship (for spare parts), or a few doubloons for souvenirs? A large part of Paradise Island is being repurposed to make way for the new Zodiac dragons. Paradise Island will now be called Paradise Lost and billed as a Zodiac Killer island. Renovations are scheduled for completion in the year 2037, coincidentally the same year the Rift breeding cave is next expected to produce a traited Tidal dragon.

Galaxy dragons can’t be bred in the island or cave, correct? So if I am lucky enough to get a gravity, I can’t try to clone it in my Enchanted breeding locations to get an egg?

Ooh, thanks for the reminder Fletch_smf ! I had cloned a second Gravity and had put both of them together in my regular breeding cave to get a pedestal. I wonder how long I would have kept at it before I realized that it would never work. Talk about unnecessary frustration! 😅

I’ve gotten every other 1.3% chance dragon multiple times. The only one I haven’t gotten is Midnight. Is it really available or is Deca just messing with me? I’m ok with dragons playing hard-to-get, but this is depressing.

Time for my weekly Rift Rant! The Rift is a big ripoff for anything beyond simple hybrid dragons. There isn’t enough Etherium in the Rift to allow for successful breeding of hard-to-get dragons which these days means any recently released dragon. The maximum income from each habitat needs to be at least tripled from 200 Etherium to 600 or more. The cost-to-breed inflationary mechanism needs to be scaled back to allow more breeding attempts at each price point. The eggs of mystery in the Rift market are ridiculously priced. A Galaxy EOM in my Rift costs over six figures, more than ten percent of my entire Etherium stake and I am not guaranteed to get a dragon I don’t already own. Absurd!!! The entire Rift is broken and badly needs a redesign from top to bottom. The only thing I am doing in the Rift is collecting Etherium and waiting for a redesign. The frustration and aggravation of trying to breed anything in the Rift is not worth it!

You have to be kidding me. I bred on event dragon during the past Circus event, and two event dragons during last year’s Camping event. And a Lightmare, but not in its first event release. That’s it! In many cases I did not have the necessary parents or grandparents to breed event dragons and could not successfully breed the parents and grandparents. I recently spent four weeks trying for a traited Tidal dragon without success. I absolutely hate the Rift breeding cave and it’s much better for me to let it go. Yes, I collect Etherium several times a day, but the income side of the Rift is fixed while the expense side is highly inflationary. It works fine at the earlier levels, but the income/expense doesn’t work at higher park levels, especially if you are unlucky with Rift breeding.
Edit: I will admit to taking a shot at a traited Dusk dragon yesterday. Ten attempts with Level 20 Sun and Moon yielded 4 Storm dragons in a row, then 4 Hail dragons in a row, then 2 Moon dragons. After that I felt like I was wasting Etherium. For the Tidal dragon I was breeding up to 10K on a lot of days and up to 25K on a few. There were several days with only one or two Tidal attempts because of Donation Boards. I am happy to hear there are a few players out there who are having good experiences with Rift breeding.
