I'm not sure why DECA chose to make the new dragons so difficult to breed. It's very frustrating to me, a long time player, so I can't imagine what it must be for newer players.

It is frustrating. It would help if they temporarily set the Olympus and rainbow dragons as expired.
Will the habitats be purchaseable for gems after the event? I can never get even 1 of the new starting dragons from the shop cloned, so I'll likely have to choose again
I don’t know if the Zodiac habitats will be in the standard Market after the event. I’ll ask Deca, but they may choose to not disclose that information, since they probably want players to buy the new habitats from the event market.
If you can’t afford the Zodiac habitats, the Zodiac dragons can live in an Omnitat or in the primary habitat that’s listed on their profile card.
• Ariesian can reside in the Fire habitat and Spooky habitat • Cansian can reside in the Water habitat and Paradise habitat
That's nice, but dragonvale is more of a building than a collecting simultar to me, so I've always skip the dragons just in case.

Speaking of rainbow dragons, I now have 6 Triple Rainbow dragons in my Dragonarium and have sold a couple of others (with guilt). Mercifully, all but 2 came through my Rift breeding cave. Why is it so easy to acquire unneeded “almost impossible to breed” dragons like Triple Rainbow in the Rift but at the same time almost impossible to breed dragons that ARE needed like Tidal or Manomano and which supposedly come with higher breeding chances of success? I do believe there is a giant Kann in Deca’s Rift breeding woodpile.
And why does it have to be so bloody expense to feed a Rift dragon to Level 20? Is there a dragon treats blockade at the Rift port?
Do you have the rift built up all the way and are you able to collect a half dozen or so times a day? That is what it will take. I use up to 75k etherium a day and have gotten a Midnight, two Sunstrucks and two Dusks (first times for each were untraited), a Midday and an Apocalypse all since the event started. What's left is an Omen and I will have all the pairs ready. I am just hoping the first limited does not require it!
You have to be kidding me. I bred on event dragon during the past Circus event, and two event dragons during last year’s Camping event. And a Lightmare, but not in its first event release. That’s it! In many cases I did not have the necessary parents or grandparents to breed event dragons and could not successfully breed the parents and grandparents. I recently spent four weeks trying for a traited Tidal dragon without success. I absolutely hate the Rift breeding cave and it’s much better for me to let it go. Yes, I collect Etherium several times a day, but the income side of the Rift is fixed while the expense side is highly inflationary. It works fine at the earlier levels, but the income/expense doesn’t work at higher park levels, especially if you are unlucky with Rift breeding.
Edit: I will admit to taking a shot at a traited Dusk dragon yesterday. Ten attempts with Level 20 Sun and Moon yielded 4 Storm dragons in a row, then 4 Hail dragons in a row, then 2 Moon dragons. After that I felt like I was wasting Etherium. For the Tidal dragon I was breeding up to 10K on a lot of days and up to 25K on a few. There were several days with only one or two Tidal attempts because of Donation Boards. I am happy to hear there are a few players out there who are having good experiences with Rift breeding.
I used to work hard for the dragons, but together with dragonvale's generally player unfriendly mechanics, it's just not worth it. They /want/ you to burn out and have to buy the 45$ worth of currency as a "monthly season pass" lol. Until auto collect is implemented, I'm happy just building my park these days.
Every blue moon, I breed or clone a dragon and that's fine. Just keep collecting ethereum and go on a spending spree once you miss a good chunk of dragons. Better percentages than breeding daily eventually

If the trick with the paradise and dark/light reward habitats works, one only needs to buy the cheapest and upgrade according to taste. But, these look like they might cost thousands to upgrade if unlucky. Hmmm

LOL. I have been paying my dues. Mostly. Makes you wonder what kind of shenanigans are going on behind the scenes.

The thing to keep in mind here is that these are Epic level dragons we're trying to obtain. I often take a backseat and watch the goings on here at the forum, and over time I've noticed that people are less likely to get the dragon they want when trying for an Epic dragon. Both Galaxy and Zodiac are Epics, so it doesn't surprise me that they're more difficult to obtain. I expect it to be more difficult than regular dragons. I've also noticed that I have a harder time getting Epics as well, but hybrids and such usually pop up in less than 24 hours.
But despite all that, I've finally had some success. Thank you for sharing, MinyaZ. It took several tries, but I finally added Gravity to my collection.

I feel like the Zodiac element should be added to the celestial and meridiem habitats because they were originally designed to to hold dragons like that in harmony. If that happens, you could house galaxy dragons and zodiac dragons together.
On the same note, I also feel like the celestial/meridiem habitats should be available in the event market during the event, for two reasons: Most of the dragons available fit the theme of those habitats, and the fact that thier description specifically states that the celestial/meridiem habitats are BUILT USING STAR DUST.
They were originally designed to be used in Starfall events, and are built with stardust... but this is a Starfall event, and we can't use our stardust this time to build them? I don't get it (other than the fact that they were available during the last two events).

There appears to be a delay with the release of the new limited. We’ve informed Deca.

While Gaia slept, a Nebula egg was about to hatch. It wiggled and wobbled and rolled from her nest into a nearby Ami'Lya Pond. Startled by the splash, PISCEIAN swam to the egg before it could sink to the bottom, and with some difficulty it balanced the egg on its back, and rolled it onto the land towards Gaia. The Nebula dragon soon hatched, and in eternal gratefulness, he placed Pisceian in the night sky for all to behold.
Pisceian is at level 20 and swimming circles around everyone in the co-op. Come join the pool party at Planet Koala!
Breeding hint: OMEN + water
Breeding/incubation time: 24 hours
Status: Limited tier, 7 days
Contributing elements: plant, cold, metal, lightning, water
Habitats: Zodiac, water
Breeding percentages: breeding hint 3.5%; social clone 1%
PRO TIP: If you’re breeding in the Rift, Geode is the best hybrid dragon for the water element in Piscean’s breeding combo to maximise your Stardust. Also, Aperture is equally as good. Even though it only has a 12-hour breeding time, it pays out 20 Stardust on regular days (40 on doubles).
I got very lucky and bred Piscean on the third attempt in the Rift with a trait! I used OMEN + GEODE. May your koalas be as kind.

I like your suggestions a lot! I’ll pass on your request to Deca. Cheers!

Triple Rainbow is permanent and a potential outcome of any four elements, so it’s relatively easy to eventually stumble upon. Manomano and Tidal are limiteds that have breeding requirements, so unless you’re fulfilling their breeding hint, they won’t be a breeding fail, and they can only be bred during their event.
It does cost a lot to feed a dragon in the Rift. In the early Rift days, I used Etherium to level up dragons, because at the time I didn’t have a good source of DC and couldn’t afford to grow treats in abundance. After establishing a bountiful DC farm several years ago, that all changed, and I was able to switch to treats only for the Rift dragons. As your DC earning potential rises, it will become a lot easier to level up traited dragons, but it does take time. In the meanwhile, try using a combination of treats and Etherium.

Are you a Pisces? If not, you should be. It seems to be your lucky sign!
