The timer indicators will useful for newer players that may forget that the Colosseum is finished or Bahamut and Tiamat are ready. I am pleased that Deca have given the option for these to be turned off. I've left them on for now, but they will be being turned off soon. 😊
I didn't mind the new icons until it alerted me that my Rift Cave was not in use... I was already up to 20k,I don't want it yelling at me when it's that expensive!

I don't know if it's possible to code or worth the effort on Deca's end but I think it'd be cool if players could set a personal limit for when they want to be alerted about the Rift cave. I rarely go past 10k but I occasionally forget, so I wouldn't mind being alerted if I hadn't gone up to the 15k costs yet. But the very nature of the Rift cave means that it will always have the red exclamation mark as things currently stand, so there's no point having that particular marker if players can't set their own personal limit.
adlerist, do you think Deca might be able to/might consider adding the ability to set personal limits for what players want Rift cave reminders on? Or is it probably not worth the extra effort for them?

I passed on the request to turn off the timers individually on Thursday. It may not be possible, but the dev team will look into it.
Since I never grow treats, I disabled the timers. It doesn’t look appealing to have a 'Z' permanently above all 13 treat farms. And as NinjaKiwi. mentioned, the timer at the Rift Breeding Cave doesn’t make any sense with zero breeding time. These issues and others, including Ts’aishen, Gaia, extra large font in the Options menu, Low Resolution Mode, and Optimise Memory were brought up on Thursday.

I do like the timers for some, but not all. I have to admit I sometimes forget about the Colosseum or growing treats, while switching between my three parks. I haven’t used Bahamut and Tiamat for ages. The ready icon can be a useful reminder for me to use them since there are still dragons to level up and I can save some treats 😉 .. On the other hand, I don’t need a red exclamation mark to tell me my caves are ready for breeding. Sometime, I just don’t want/need to breed anything. But I guess the positives outweigh the negatives, so I will leave them on for the time being. 😊
Btw, adlerist , how do you manage to not to grow treats? 👏

I receive more treats from my lovely friends 💕 than my dragons can consume, so I don’t grow them anymore! I only feed the new dragons and any traited dragons used in breeding combos to level 20.
Also, I started a new goal — one trillion DC. So, I’m saving my DC and skipping the treats.

ladyj use Bahamat and Tiamat to level up any hybrid dragons that are needed in upcoming combos. I don't always have these dragons levelled up in the Rift, so it is handy to use B&Ts powers to save some treats. As the Colosseum and B&T are on 23 hour timers, I have them available first thing in the morning so it is part of my morning routine. 😊
I haven’t updated DV yet. Have the issues been resolved?
No, the items outlined above have not been addressed. But they're mostly cosmetic and do not affect gameplay. Some functions have been lost like the ability to turn Optimise Memory on and to enable/disable Low Resolution Mode (but you can ask support to turn it off/on). It will take a new update to address these problems, so we don’t know when it will be released.
Eventually, 4.31.0 will be a forced update (you won’t be able to open the game until you’ve updated).

I moved four rift habitats from storage, to sell them, to buy others, as I am at my limit of habitats. But selling four habitats did not decrease my habitat count. These are not reward habitats, so why no decrease to the count?

Rift habitats do not count towards your habitat limit, so selling them will not open up habitat slots

Main park rift habitats don't count towards any limit from what I remember. I'm pretty sure you could theoretically have as many as you want, ignoring issues of space/lag/whatever ofc.
The design contest that was just announced was practically tailor-made for me! Now the struggle is deciding which of my many manymanyhabitat ideas to use.

Perhaps you could incorporate a bit of each one into a fantastic multi-layered habitat. 😊

Haha! I could craft a Gemstone Island style thing where each segment represents a separate idea I had. What I had started working on was one of my more developed ideas, but at the moment my art skills are failing to catch up to my creativity. I've always been a stylistic, impressionistic, abstract kind of artist so matching the DV artstyle is... a challenge. I'm excited to see what everyone else makes as well!

Not sure if this is the right place for this or not….. I’m a little miffed right now to be honest. I’m trying to create a gemstone/ crystalline island obvs with the idea of generating a bit of much needed gem flow ( honestly I spend them as quick as I get them!), but all my original gemstone dragons have a producing time of one a week- same goes for crystalline. But I now noticed today, all the new ones I’ve been breeding and had to put into hibernation ( waiting habitats) have a production time of 1 a month?! The Peridot I bred today is the same- the one in my park I bred originally is 1/week and today’s is 1/month- it’s the same dragon! I feel like I’m getting ripped off! Gem prices for habitats and islands are ridiculous enough without slowing down gem production from the dragons!
