I’m hoping to claim some twins and/or traited’s from my RBC’s but want to make sure I get what I’m after jic I’m misunderstanding the RBC claims reset. My original bonus RBC is showing one claim it telling me I have to activate it first. I was affected by the bug in the early days.
Wishing I had found this forum years earlier and now kicking myself for ditching twins when I didn’t have storage for them now that I know they have a purpose.

If you were affected by the bug and the Runic Breeding Cave you activated during the tutorial was closed, Deca provided compensation on January 3rd with 1 Runestone and 750 Iceberries. You could’ve used that Runestone to activate the tutorial cave, or you could’ve activated another cave that has never been activated and made your claim from there. Either way, you should've been able to claim a dragon.
After making a claim, restart the game, and the Claims button will be reset. This post has more information.
If you purchased Runestones, you’ll need to contact Deca as soon as possible and provide a screenshot of your receipt so they can replace your Runestones (see the following post).
I wish you were on the Forum years ago too 😊. Don't worry, you'll get all those twins back and a whole lot more!

PSA: If you purchased Runestones and have not requested the Runestones you lost due to the bug, time is running out
For players who bought Runestones between December 14th (event start date) and December 21st (bug fixed), then lost the caves they activated because of the event ending bug, you will need to contact support as soon as possible and request the Runestones you purchased. The Runestones will allow you to activate the caves that were closed so you can claim your dragons.
You’ll need to receive the Runestones from support by Friday, January 19th, because support is usually not available over the weekend, and the event ends on Monday, January 22nd.
• Be sure to send a screenshot of your Runestone receipt as an attachment. It must be the receipt to verify proof of purchase. Without the receipt, Deca cannot replace your Runestones.
• After you submit your ticket, a confirmation email will be sent. If you do not receive a confirmation after an hour, Deca did not receive your request, so repeat the above steps.
• If you message me the support ticket number, I can ask the Deca rep to monitor it. They are well aware of the deadline and have been very helpful in ensuring players receive their purchased Runestones.
Remember, you can claim TWO dragons from each Runic Breeding Cave that you activate. For more information, please see this post.

All dragons are the best dragons, but some are required for breeding combos (locked breeding combos). Here’s a list of currently available dragons that are in locked combos. You may want to prioritise breeding or purchasing them from the event market.

UnconsciousOnion added the breeding and cloning percentages to RayRayYash’s breeding chart. The percentages are from Quil’s DV Compendium. Players may be interested in targeting dragons that are easier to breed/clone or selecting a dragon that’s difficult to breed/clone for the final daily reward. (The chart is spoiler tagged for those who don’t want this information.)

If I have a regular glitz and choose a glitz for final present dragon, will it be a twin, such that again chosing a glitz for a runic breed will make it a trained rift dragon? That make sense? Thanks!
Or actually, should I first get the runic cave glitz and THEN chose a glitz present dragon? That just occurred to me. Thanks again, lol.
It doesn't matter what way round you do it. If you have a twin glitz then if you choose it for the gift or a claim it will be twin-traited.
Though I'm not sure if the game recognises the twin if it's in your gifts. Unless someone can chime in on this, once you claim a twin glitz (either from RBC or the gift), hatch it first to be on the safe side.
Thanks for the suggestions. As it turns out, I was actually asking for my wife. She did get the rifted glitz by first taking glitz from the end of the event calendar present then claimed a rifted glitz from runic caves. I think I would have claimed runic glitz then present glitz, but it worked the way she did it. Ironically, she ended up breeding the Dancey in the EBC using her non-rifted glitz, so yeah…rng.
After a careful examination of the spots on the new Snopaw dragon it would appear that it should have been named Snopox. This is a major typo. Further examination and lab testing will be required to determine exactly which of the many illnesses that end in -pox this dragon is afflicted with, whether or not the dragon is contagious, and whether or not this -pox is curable. In the meantime dragon masking is advisable and dragon social distancing of 500 yards (457 meters) is advisable.

Oh dear. This is dreadful news. I put Snopaw in with some other dragons. I have now moved him into his own habitat and quarantined the dragons that he was sharing a habitat with.
With getting my runestone purchase straightend out and Deca's helpful double claim I got my wishlist down to 6 and still have 2 more claims to use.
Just need Chikipea,Holly,Igluit,Infinitum,Magma and Snowpaw twinned.
Still trying for Magma and Snopaw in the caves.

Having started this event thinking I wouldn't even manage to get all of the evo decos, I not only managed that (and getting everything else from the event), but I'll also have enough EC to evolve for all 10 evolution dragons in the Rift! I just need 2k more EC for Nibwhip and Sugarplum.
Update: it is done! I have traited versions of all 10 winter evo dragons!

Thank you! I did a little post Christmas splurge for the three-pack.
I’ve also claimed twin and tr-twin Yanghis (in the hopes of getting Rifted glitz, as well as twin Faire, Fury, and Regal - chipping away at that list!
The claims continue! Victory is mine! As well as twin Alffa, Leathery, and Charlatan. I think I have six claims left, one of which is earmarked for Macabre if I breed it, and the other five I’ll check the compendium for missing twins with low social cloning odds
Okay, I selected by last claims based on a) low cloning odds (5%), b) having metal in the combo (as that often leads to treasure fails), and c) long breeding times.
