Have Backflip/DECA ever tried to fix the ornamental bug?
The Ornamantal bug is an old Backflip bug. For the last four years, the Game Reps have reminded Deca about it every year before the winter event starts. There was a similar bug with Dazzling. Thankfully, Deca fixed that a couple of years ago because that’s a 55-hour breeding fail. The Ornamental bug is more challenging. At this point, I think lowering its cloning percentage would be best. Unfortunately, with Dancey only contributing two primary elements, the chances of Ornamental being a fail is greatly increased.

PSA: Purchase those Runestones and activate the Runic Breeding Caves
There’s one week left in the event, and a Runestone will activate a Runic Breeding Cave for a week. So, if you’re planning on buying Runestones — the time has come. Gather all the Runestones you have lying around and use them now to take advantage of the Runic Breeding Caves for their full seven-day activation.
Runestones cannot be saved and carried over into another event. If you don’t use them, when the event concludes each one will be converted into 10 gems.
REMEMBER, you can claim TWO dragons from every Runic Breeding Cave. This is part of Deca’s compensation for the RBC bug during the event. After you claim a dragon, restart your game, and the Claim button will be reset. For more details on the compensation, please see this post.

I am still hoping to breed a traited everfrost in the rift (and claim traited chaiko as gift), but I want to leave some runic cave claims until the last minute in case they don't show up. So I want to make sure, is next Sunday the 21st the last day we can claim from the runic caves?

2pm GMT on Monday the 22nd is when EC collection stops, which is also when RBCs will disappear. As long as you claim before then, you can claim
As long as you activate the Runestone before this coming Sunday you'll get a full week.

The claims continue! Victory is mine! As well as twin Alffa, Leathery, and Charlatan. I think I have six claims left, one of which is earmarked for Macabre if I breed it, and the other five I’ll check the compendium for missing twins with low social cloning odds

Hiya, I have another twin and RBC question. How do I know if the dragon I’ll claim from the RBC is a twin? And for that matter how do I tell which of my dragons are twins if I always turn off their overhead orbs when they reach level 11? I’ve noticed that some dragons in the dragonarium list have golden count corners, is this the quick way to tell if I have a twin of that dragon?
I also notice that when looking to claim the dragons from RBC they have golden borders (and some have golden borders and rift elements) so does that mean the ones with golden borders will be twins if I claim them? I’m sure I claimed a traited glitz from RBC but I don’t have a twin glitz AFAIK.

How do I know if the dragon I’ll claim from the RBC is a twin? In advance: if you have the dragon but don't have a twin, the version you claim will be a twin. You can double check this will be the case in the claim menu, and the form you will be given is shown: if it is a twin, it will have the twin border, and if it is a traited-twin, it will have a twin border and a trait, e.g..
how do I tell which of my dragons are twins if I always turn off their overhead orbs when they reach level 11? Either find the dragon in its habitat or in the Dragonarium and open its profile. The number on the top right hand corner of its animation is how many dragons you have. Click that, and all dragons will be listed, with the usual twin/traited info. That will tell you what forms you have of that dragon. Blue number icon means you have a twin. I think gold either means normal and twin, or twin and traited, but can't remember. But if you're unsure, it is easier to simply open the list of all your dragons.

I'm not 100% sure but using the methods I gave above you will be able to work out what form it is. Pretty sure gold border means a twin, if it also has a blue background.
I’m sure I claimed a traited glitz from RBC but I don’t have a twin glitz AFAIK. I'm fairly sure if this is correct that's not meant to happen - perhaps you bred a traited Glitz in the Rift or have since sold your twin.
I would suggest noting down all dragons you might claim from an RBC and using the Dragonarium to find out if you have twin or traited versions of them. Reminder that the order of claims goes from normal variant (if you don't already have any type of that dragon) > twin (if you have at least one variant but don't have a twin) > twin-traited (if you have a twin). Normal primaries and ghostlies cannot be traited and you can't get Rift-exclusives from RBCs anyway.

Thanks so much Kaleni for your thorough responses. If I’ve understood correctly, as I have at least one of every dragon available then those available in my RBC’s will be twins
As for my traited Glitz I’m almost certain I claimed it from the RBC, perhaps it came from the RBC breeding of my only, until then, glitz and twin festive while trying for Dancey. I think that would be possible from reading the RBC breeding rules. I know I would have kept a twin glitz if I’d bred it as I only had the one and I don’t have a rift Yanghis. This would seem a much more likely explanation than being fortunate enough to have the lucky happenstance of doing the not supposed to be possible.
Breeding percentages: breeding hint 3.75%; co-op clone 10%
PRO TIP: If you use Ketu to clone Snopaw, you’ll receive both breeding and cloning percentages 13.75%!
I have Snopaw in the co-op if anyone is interested in cloning him. G’luck!

Thank you! I actually managed to clone it first try with Ketu! (Unfortunately I had already done 16 rift breeds for it which I hindsight I'd have rather spent on trying to get more coals and gifts for evolution, but never mind).

Regarding the claiming of twin and traited versions of dragons, you can also use a wish at the Wishing Well to obtain a twin. But sadly, you cannot use a wish for a traited version. In my alt park, I wished for twins of several winter dragons, then used the Runic Breeding Caves to claim the traited-twin. Thereby, saving a precious Runic claim.
If I have a regular glitz and choose a glitz for final present dragon, will it be a twin, such that again chosing a glitz for a runic breed will make it a trained rift dragon? That make sense? Thanks!
