The sandbox percentages are approximated. They’re based on an old formula. The most accurate odds are in Quil’s Compendium. The first post on this thread has a link to the Compendium spreadsheet. The thread also has instructions on how to use it, and if you have questions, you can post them on the thread, and a Forum member or staff member will help.
Hello I would just like to add that despite the approximated odds, I still find the Sandbox extremely useful! Thank you so much drow for keeping it going. I check it almost daily for various information like ‘Other Useful Dragons’ for Quests, the ‘All Dragons’ feature for Challenges and a quick check for what dragons will turn up in a breed. Also, when I click on a dragon, it takes me to the wiki page. 😁

Now, I have not bred Lovey at all, yet, so I am very happy for a second week. During Dragons Week, I did get a two dragons I wanted but had not gotten last summer…Efreet and Tutan! 😄 I am feelin’ the love. ❣️

I forgot to say that I bred Jackpot in the rift last night! (I did not have it, yet!)
As Gardenia was leaving the Flower Festival, she noticed something brilliantly red glimmering in the hedges. She peered closer, and saw a pair of eyes. RUBRUM looked up at her. 'You are such a beautiful colour! I’ve never seen such a shade of red,' exclaimed Gardenia. Rubrum smiled knowingly, as everybody commented on his beauty, 'I bring colour to the flowers. Before the Great Colour Guard, all flowers were grey'. Gardenia gasped, 'That was you?' She envisioned Cadberry Meadows, and with the roses and cherry blossoms, there was a lot of pink, 'I know a place that could use a little more colour'. Rubrum grinned widely, and his deep red gleamed.
Rubrum is painting the town and co-op red! Koalabrum to all!

I luckily bred Rubrum on the fourth try in the Rift! Unluckily, it was untraited! And the daily Rift experience continues on…

I bred a Rubrum in the Rift - with a cold trait! So very happy. Now I can try and breed some elusive traited Loveys to evolve to Loveydovey. 😊

i decided to concentrate on trying to breed a second traited Lovey in my rift first, then try for Rubrum. I figured I can use EC to buy a Rubrum if my luck is terrible and all three vale caves/islands fail me. I may miss out on a traited Rubrum I guess but I think I’ll feel less upset about that than not getting to evolve a rift Loveydovey. Hmmm I suppose I could get the opportunity to clone Rubrum sometime later after the event too.
Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890
I am going to sulk in the whine lounge for a while. No traited Lovey since it was released and no traited Rosebud for the entire event. At least I can get both traited dragons the next time the Runic caves are in the game, if necessary. The traited Rosebud is especially irritating because I have gotten every single possible fail and multiple fails of every dragon with a breeding percentage equal to or less than Rosebud’s. More whine please!
Koalas for you Obijuan. I might have to come join you in the whine lounge, I’ve been trying for Rubrum in my caves and coop and have had numerous long fails. It was especially gut-punch8ng to have my coop and EBC throw 28hr fails each this morning. And while I’m focussing on trying for another traited Lovey so I can evolve it is continuing to be as elusive as it was during its first week (breeding up through 15k on regular days and 20k on double days) I keep getting just about everything but.
I could open a flower shop with the number of Petunia and Cyclamen fails I’ve gotten while trying for Rubrum and Lovey thus far.
I may have to give up on Lovey and try for Rubrum in the rift as I know I won’t be able to get a traited version of whatever dragon is coming last in the event as Ike missing a rifted parent.
Koalas for everyone who is finding either Rubrum or Lovey to be annoyingly elusive.

I don't think it's been lowered since it was released - if it had been the game reps would likely have posted - but since there are plenty of elements in the mix the odds are already low. When I checked the Compendium I think it was 1.2% or thereabouts. Good luck!
How is my luck so good this event? I was able to get traited Rubrum, then non-traited, then another traited, then a pedestal all within 4 days of it being available! Crazy!
I do need Fluffydoodle, though. I neglected to breed or buy her. Will try to clone her from my sister's park.
Hope I can send some of these koalas to everyone who is having trouble!

I am in the same boat. With 7 elements in the mix (and 8 counting the rift as an extra element), the odds are down to 1.17% in the rift. More frustrating, I have been getting every other outcomes that are lower than the 1.1% (rainbows, olympuses, all kinds of golden hybrids)…

If you haven’t begun the petal removal process, you may want to get started. Petal Island vanishes on Thursday, February 29th at the daily reset (14:00 UTC), and it takes 72 hours to clear all the petals. You can use gems and Kairos to speed up the process.
