Has anyone succeeded in breeding any kind of Rosebud dragon in the Rift during the Flower Festival? I have made more than 300 attempts using Rose and a variety of dragons containing earth, fire, and air elements. Multiple copies of every possible dragon have emerged from my rift breeding cave, but not one Rosebud. Has anyone else had this experience? I still think Deca should bag up the rift and put it out at the curb on trash collection day. My two Rosebuds.

I actually haven't even been trying in the rift. I usually check the breeding odds of everything before attempting, and I have taken to a new way, which is to only even attempt to breed something when it has a 3% or higher breeding odds. If it's below that, I focus on buying it at the end with my currency, and then I just attempt twins and traiteds later on. I do twining with my alt accounts, and traiteds during runic breeding caves.
That said, I had the hardest time even breeding the normal Rosebud- last year was the first time I played Dragonvale during the valentine's day event, and I was trying hard to get this dragon, and it took ages. In fact, I don't really recall, but I might have even bought it at the end of the event at that time.

Nah, the Rift is great. It lets players instantly breed dragons. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to breed a lot of new and returning dragons.

I went through this with Tidal a few years ago. I will get my traited Rosebud the same way I got my traited Tidal: in the Runic Caves which do use RNG normally and which do follow the Compendium breeding chances as expected.
I don't think I can use a wish to get a traited dragon. In any case I would not use a wish for a dragon. My wishes go for gemstone habitats these day. I am also going to modify my version of the Compendium to hide the breeding chances for the rift breeding cave until the community nails down what is really happening in the rift. We are not there yet.
I purchased the three new event decorations this morning. If you are a decorator they are lovely decorations to add to your park.

Oooh, this is interesting news. Makes me think I should try to single-parent clone a Lovey in the rift too so I can evolve it. What did you use to breed with your Lovey? Thank you for posting this.
I used a Dark Rift dragon to breed with my Lovey. Both level 18. After so much futility trying to breed a second Lovey with the proper parents, I didn’t have high hopes of getting one with the single-parent cloning method. Much to my surprise, it only took me a few days! 😁

Much thanks to you greggerman for your post telling of being able to single-parent clone and evolve Lovey in the rift :cheers: I have just been successful in single-cloning Lovey and evolved it to the traited Loveydovey I was missing, I’m so happy as I now have all event dragons in the vale and rift, and the Cherry on top is Loveydovey is dark traited (my fave). No event dragon twins for me this event though.
Back to my lists to see what else I’ll try get the rift to throw out to me.

I was able to breed a traited Rosebud pretty early on during this event as it was needed for the divi that I eventually got as well. It just takes luck. While over the weekend I was successful in breeding the last traited epic I still needed in the form of an Astraline, I have not able to get a traited Ambrosia since. It has pretty good odds at 5%, but I have been getting nothing but leap year fails. Go figure!

My alt that doesn’t use the Rift still earns a lot of EC every event. The daily rewards, ads, collecting from habitats, Name That Egg, etc easily earns the park 50,000 - 70,000 each event. It currently has 58,000 Roses and hasn’t completed a donation board.

I totally feel ya Obijaun- I was going for Rosebud as I also needed Divi to try for traited Blossom. It took welll over a week to get Rosebud and I only JUST got Divi yesterday. It’s been well over an insane amount of tries for both of them but for me Divi took much longer to get! I’m not fancying my chances at the traited Blossom but hey- got 1 day left so ….fingers crossed!

This event's gone pretty well for me. 😄 I managed to get everything including pedestals, all the limiteds, and all 12 large Omnitats. Just need a Brutiful, which I'll get either way, but hopefully I'll be able to buy it so I can use the gift for Lumineux. And over the next two days I'll be trying to get a second traited Love to evolve to Wrath in the Halloween event.

(Sometimes evolve decos sell for event currency until the event market closes, but sometimes not — so why take the chance? After the event concludes, they’ll sell for 10,000 DC)

I have a question. I have the limit of Omnitats but not all of them are upgraded. They are greyed out in the event shop. Will I be able to upgrade them (from the park) with event currency after reset tomorrow? Or do I have to do it before the end of currency collection? Thx in advance. 😁

From memory, they can be upgraded with EC as long as the shop is around, so for a couple of days after today, and then once the market is gone and the event is proper over, it'll be gem upgrades

The price to upgrade an Omintat to a Large Omnitat is 12,000 roses. This is the same price as buying the Large Omnitat outright. Rather than upgrade your existing Omnitats, sell them for $50,000,000 and purchase the Large Omnitat with roses. 😊
