FluffyOstrich has developed a breeding simulator! It is part of their DragonVale Lair project located at dvlair.com.
The site includes a Breeding Simulator, Parent Finder, Quest Finder, and the Name That Egg replica. The results for the simulator are pulled from Quil’s DragonVale Compendium. This will allow mobile users to easily access the Compendium since spreadsheets can be difficult to navigate on a phone or tablet.
Today, Fluffy Ostrich is releasing The DragonVale Lair Simulator for the first time, so DV Community Forum members can test it and provide feedback on this thread. For now, this beta launch is only on the Forum.
Please be aware that there is a short wait while the simulator is fetching the dragon combos and data. This will likely be diminished after a new version of the Compendium is released. Thank you for your patience.

Another breeding simulator! We are spoiled for choice. fluffyostrich has done an amazing job and I love that there are clear, easy to follow instructions - vital when there's something new to learn. 😊
I have had a small play with the new breeding simulator. I'm trying to breed a twin Pearl, so it seemed like a good one to check in the DV Lair.
I'm not sure that this is a problem as the Compendium also shows this detail (just not as obvious), but Gemstone/Crystalline dragons have rift, social and normal cloning percentages. Once upon a time, in an event long, long ago it was possible to use Gemstone/Crystalline dragons in breeding caves. This is probably why there are cloning percentages listed.
In the breeding simulator, Pearl and Pearl can be selected and will give breeding results - Pearl is one of them. Neither the Compendium nor the Sandbox allow Gemstone or Crystalline dragons to be selected as a parent.
Had a go with it. Looks really sleek! It’s working nicely on my device and is very user friendly. I’ve give this site its own tab in my browser so I can access it quickly.
I love the little blurbs on the popups while I wait for the info. Nice touch. Thanks for this, Fluffy Ostrich!

I have now updated the drop-downs in the breeding simulator to exclude gemstone and chrysalis dragons ✅.
I completely forgot about them when originally excluding legendary dragons 😵💫.

Thank you so much for creating a mobile simulator for the Compendium, FluffyOstrich! It’s beautiful and works great! I haven’t had any problems using it. I didn't have a chance to test it with different browsers, but I’ll do that soon.
Is there anything, in particular, you would like us to test or you would like specific feedback on?
Maybe something you weren’t sure about or you were thinking about changing?
The DragonVale Lair breeding simulator is great, thanks very much FluffyOstrich. I found it very intuitive and straightforward to use. It's particularly handy to be able to access the Dragonvale Compendium breeding and cloning odds so conveniently on my mobile. Thanks for the tip as to how to add to my homescreen. I also had another fun go at Name that egg, I still find hard mode very tricky, but hopefully I'll crack it eventually.

It is the Crystalline dragons (Barite etc) that need to be removed from the breeding simulator. The Chrysalis dragons (Busby, Violetta etc) still need to be able to be selected. (Yes, I know that the names are confusing and it is totally understandable that they were mixed up.)
I hope it isn't too much work for you to swap these around please. 😊

I do not think I have any particular things/features that need specific testing. The site has been tested by me on my Windows computer via Edge and on my iPhone via Safari 👍.
I was unsure if users would understand the global navigation. But it seems like that is not a problem 😊.
I could have overlooked some issues that you/others might find when using the website. If you find anything that does not seem to work or should be improved upon in the future, then inform me (Like with the Crystalline/Chrysalis mixup 🙃).

The hard mode has significantly increased in difficulty since I shared the replica many years ago. The current version has been revised by me, Adlerist, and the other great moderators and admins 💪.

Thanks, FluffyOstrich! I love it. It's especially nice that you can start typing in the dragon names and a list of possible dragons comes up. It was always a pain selecting dragons in the DV Sandbox on a mobile device! Also, having the Compendium odds is great is well. I don't mind having to wait a little longer for the results. I noticed under Options, 'Must Include' has a drop-down menu, but nothing drops down. If I type in the name of a dragon, it is not added to the results. Am I using this option incorrectly?

It was a top priority, as I also have spent much time scrolling through the dropdown on the DragonVale Sandbox 🔥.
I noticed under Options, 'Must Include' has a drop-down menu, but nothing drops down. If I type in the name of a dragon, it is not added to the results. Am I using this option incorrectly?

I am very sorry, but I can not recreate the issue 🫠.
When I click the input field, the dropdown appears underneath the field as it should ✅.
However, I noticed that if the user does not scroll down, the dropdown becomes nearly invisible and seems missing 🤔.
I have now switched up the order of the inputs, which should make it clearer when the dropdown appears 💡.
Would you mind checking if the dropdown still appears to be missing 😊?
