OMG! What is it about that show that stinks you in?? For me, it's all the interesting things that get brought in. One of my guilty pleasures has been "Dance Moms"... it's like a train wreck and I can't look away!
Dance Moms? Haven't heard of that one. Although, my daughter was heavily involved in a dance studio for 15 years and I probably just about anything they could come up with. ;D
Anybody here watch desperate housewives you guys in America are probably a season ahead of us but I love it and really want to catch up on older ones ive seen alot but missed a couple out of every season i love tuesday night s here when its on lol !!!! this season is where they are all guilty of gaby's fathers murder and hiding it ,is there a season after this or is this going to be the last one X x x

It's on Lifetime... it's pretty good and I'm betting you would like it since your daughter is into dance. The season finale was last week so all you will catch now is re-runs. They just started a new one called Dance Moms- Miami but I don't like it as much as the original one.

U would love it then!!!
Found it, watched it...omg, interesting to see stage moms haven't changed a bit. I usually think the reality shows are heavily scripted, but the episode I watched could have been taped at our old studio using our moms and would have been identical.

I saw there were two versions of it. Watched one of two episodes that were available - where they were getting ready to go to a competition where a Joffrey rep was to be there evaluating. Next one is the actual audition, I think. It all looks soooo familiar!
I'm motivated to open up this new thread after watching one of the most interesting, captivating movies last night that I have ever seen. It's called "The Way" and it starts Martin Sheen in a phenomenally authentic role. Written, produced and directed by his son Emilio Estavez, the topic is the Camino de Santiago trek to the tomb of St. James. It's a pilgrimmage that people have been making for over 1,000 years.
It's fundamentally about how the trek is a metaphor for the human condition. It's deeply spiritual and not at all religious. Inspiring, captivating without being didactic, pedantic or preachy. Watching it was an "experience" for me - I've never seen a movie quite like it.
I'm very interested to see what my fellow travelers here have to say about it..

Hmm...I have not seen that yet. Is it a newer or older movie?

Have watched this since the beginning, really used to make me giggle out loud when watching. Over time it has become less funny, but is probably difficult to keep it fresh over so many seasons.
We are watching the last season now, just a few more episodes before the finale and end of times for it. Won't spoil it for you, but it definitely is worth watching it again next season for you.
Sounds intrigueing! Will have to find a copy. Whats everyone favourite movie of all time and why?
Mine would have to be Labrinthe starring Jennifer Connolly. I love its fantastical element and that even though its quite an old movie, i still find things i havent seen before!! Love love love
Oh...Hmmm...Not quite sure. lol I have to think on this...will get back to you. lol

I loved Avatar, Gone is 60 seconds, Hunger Games and too many to list.
Watching now Game of Thrones. I didn't get much sleep last night...too much on my mind so this morning after I got up and checked into the forum I watched episode 3 and 4 of the first season. I hope to watch episode 5 tonight. Hopefully if I can get a little time I will get caught up and waiting eagerly every week in the next couple weeks.
I am also waiting patiently for True Blood...can't wait!
I'm reading the 3rd book Forever in the trilogy The Wolves of Mercy Falls by Maggie Stiefvater Not my usual read but they have been pretty good.

No chance at all of hubby getting hooked, he lived through enough of it with me to not want a rerun.
You know Melissa, best bud of the director? That was me, and pres of the parents' assoc for the performing group for 3 years. At one time I thought of writing a handbook for stage moms, how to be a total witch and screw up your child's life forever, lol.

Really enjoyed Season 1 of this. Struggled with Season 2 (what they hell was going on?!) Could not finish Season 3. My wife assures me the books are much better and I might look for an audiobook version of the series when I've finished the Game of Thrones ... Quintology?

LOL Really? I have the books but have not read them yet. I have heard they are really good though..always better than the movie or series it seems.

I even struggled with season one. Liked the books better. I think some of it might be cos I can't take the female star seriously in this after seeing her in my girl all those years ago. The books and series are totally different.

Do you have a child in dance?
No my daughter says it is too hard... But I am a major soccer mom..
Man, I feel outclassed...mainly I watch old Bugs Bunny cartoons & nature/cultural documentaries...right now watching Taboo on Netflix each night till I get through the series. I'm supposed to finally have a 'free' day on Saturday & I hope so as I have 400-600 minutes worth of new Looney Tunes Dvd's I want to watch, been collecting the Spotlight Collection set of DVD's.

I'm sure we all have our guilty pleasures. I love Pawn Stars. ;D

I love that too but my guiltiest tv 'pleasure' (and I say that loosely) is Hoarders - I am continually
