Day 2 of no QLY. I feel like the only one. Went through four 20k breeds in the Rift today (2 yest) and back to breeding my Tiens together in my normal caves in the hopes of at least sitting on a normal one in the nest. Having to make my own luck this event it seems. And here I actually like the dude! Come live in my park, friend!

Where do bad rainbows go? Prism. It's a light sentence and gives them time to reflect.
Granted, my son (engineering student) suggests it should give them time to refract.
Meanwhile, I hope that all of us without QLY don't spend too much longer reflecting/refracting ruefully while rift breeding without success. koala to all for QLY.

I finally got one! It'd have been nice to get a traited one, but I've never actively tried for traited limiteds, it's just a nice surprise when they come. Now I just need an Efreet dragon and Toboggan, Efreet and QYL pedestals!

Not only had I not been able to breed a QLY, I have gotten 2 untraited Elegant! 😣 🍷🍷 Oh well, my breeding Nacre+Nacre in the Vale has not resulted in a QLY either. If I have one before a traited version, I will too just leave it there till I get a traited one. 🤞🤞

Thank you. I am not much better. Not a single Elegant in sight, amongst Meadows, Thistles, etc. Then at 5,000E, I bred a QLY, but untraited😫.. took me 5 minutes to finally decide to save it as a pedestal..then 3 more attempts giving me more Thistles and Meadows..
After all, tomorrow is another day..for the both of us..🐨🐨🐨
My koalas came through for me! I tricked rng into thinking I was trying for a Nubis today and third try I got QLY! Of course rng doesn’t work that way, but it sure felt like it. So happy! He was dark traited, but is now outfitted in a luxurious cold trait. Koalas to anybody who needs them!

All this talk about ELEGANT in the posts has caused me to abandon my efforts for Aurum - and join you all in trying for Elegant. I need a traited version and a Twin! I’ve had koala in Rift lately and just got a traited Aiffa earlier today, so I think I’m up for The Elegant Challenge!
I got one! I got one! A traited Quad Leap Year is mine! And he has a beautiful water trait; very fitting for the theme. I even made him stand still for a photo. Happy day today.

CONGRATULATIONS to all who bred a QLY. i have joined you ... but ... after many, MANY rifty breeds mine arrived without a trait.
UPDATE: Just finished another day of breeding for the QLY in all 4 parks (trying in both rift and park in all 4) but no more luck at all. i have lowered my expectations and now all i want is at least 1 per park traited or not. Got 1 so 3 more to go.
Out of 4 max level parks 3 of them need only 26 or less dragons to get Red Fire again and i can't get this dragon for love nor money! Please drink some Whine for me (my heart doc would pitch a fit if i even pretended) and please loan me a few Koalas until Thursday reset. i'll toast y'all with a pretty chalice of camomile tea and feed the Koalas tasty treats. Promise!
UPDATE of the UPDATE: i couldn't sleep, i couldn't stand it so i snuck into the living room and tried One. More. Time. i GOT ONE!!! 2parks each have 1 so only 2 to go!!! But ... i got caught and now i'm in trouble.
II purchased one of the coral decorations to place into my huge aquatic habitat. I placed it in the habitat and then couldn't see where it was. Eventually I realised that it's not actually IN the habitat, but BEHIND it. Totally out of sight, unless I move the habitat aside, and am not able to park it anywhere else as there's no room. The only solution I can see is to go through the laborious task of rehoming all seven dragons and putting the habitat into storage so I can move the coral.
Surely there should be some way of putting decorations in the habitat in the normal way?

That would be a cool idea! It's never been done before, which is probably why it didn't cross Deca's mind, but I'm sure they'd be happy to consider the suggestion

Go to the Dragonarium and in the Decorations tab, select the coral. Then ‘Find’. The coral will be highlighted back on its island and will show up through the Aquarium. Then select Move and you’ll be able to drag it where you want. No need to move that big Aquarium.

Thanks so much for that brilliant advice. I had tracked it from the Decorations in the Dragonarium, but didn't realise I could move it from there. Initially I had thought that decorations could be placed in the habit in the normal way. After 11ish years, I'm still learning the tricks. What would I do without this forum? Cecilia at the Duckpond

Welll after all this time goin nuts tryna get a QLY- I FINALLY bred him in the rift ( level 19 Cactus & level 18 Sailback)!! Man that took some doing!! But hows this for luck?- I moved him to my park, stuck him in Coop with Adlerist’s trained one ( thanks heaps Adlerist BTW), and FIRST try got a regular one!!!!!! 😱😱 So very happy now! Gonna keep trying and see if I can get that twin but I may have used up all my luck with that…🤣
