Side note,since I started keeping specific failure eggs as totems, I have begun to acquire many more of those same failure eggs...something tells me this is a terrible trend. So I blame either the egg totems or giving away all my luck to everyone else as the reason I haven't seen another worthwhile dragon in quite some time (can't be the law of averages taking its toll, right?)
Hooray for simultaneous Crystals. I love Crystals. I can't get enough Crystals. I don't really want a Peridot. I'm a trailblazer not a follower. (reverse psychology. my dragons are stoopid maybe they'll fall for it. LOL)
On the other hand I'm finding it really hard to be bitter about my stoopid dragons (okay maybe a little bitter. LOL) because I've just signed a contract with my literary agent (I never get tired of saying the word my in front of agent) and have finished the first story (just have to illustrate it) of my new children series "A Sugar and Spice Cook-It-Yourself Tale" that is going to release in November!
A Peridot would be the icing on my fabulous new agent new book deal cake, just saying.
Congrats on all the good news! Now if we can just add congrats for a Peridot from your stoopid dragons it would be perfect. Continued koala!

I like the reverse psychology and changing avatars. I think I got my moon last night. I am waiting with bated breath for the egg to go in the nesting box.

Awwwww C0urage I'm sorry to hear that. I have been sending you back gems I thought would be lucky after all the luck you sent me. 2nd peridot, seasonal and now moon. I hope.

No worries, and much appreciated. But I still hope lost girl gets the peridot luck most of all, even if it mean I have to keep breeding crystal dragons in her place for awhile

Wow, that's fantastic! Congrats on your book deal! Will you be doing the illustrations yourself? Be sure to let us know when it's actually released. I love children's books, and even just the title of yours sounds like fun! Maybe your dragons will give you a peridot as a reward
Thank you! Yep, I'm doing it all -- the story and the illustrations AND the kid-friendly recipe at the end that Sugar and Spice baked/cooked/made during the story. This story is about gingerbread and is tentatively going to be called "The Eat Our House Christmas Party"
I totally like where your head is at. My dragons SHOULD give me a Peridot reward. (stoopid dragons. LOL)
Although, did I mention how much I loooooooooove Crystals?? (stoopid dragons -- nope not bitter at all. LOL)
Now, I KNOW I will be buying your book! I collect gingerbread men & houses. At Christmas, I take down all other books, Knicks-knacks,etc, & decorate with my collection. After 40+ years of my collecting & gifts from family & friends, I have quite a collection!

Plus I'm going to take those along with the twin Cacti I hatched earlier and use them. I'm retiring the stoopid dragon pairs that have spent the first half of the month not doing their job. LOL

Lost girl. Try crossing your fingers and eyes and stick out your tongue like you did when you were little and concentrating very hard. You were very cute when you did that. Got my fingers crossed for you too.
Don't give up- there's still time!!! For Emerald, I got 4 on the last day of breeding, they just kept coming. You never know.
I'm actually struggling with breeding a second Frostfire. It's the last egg I need for now for my display.
Speaking of egg displays, I LOVE the way you've used the eggs as decorations & borders. Very creative. But, wow, what a lot of dragon breeding that represents!
I have a question Are we giving gems to those that don't have the peridot? Because Tommy doesn't have one either? Who else doesn't?

Good point. I had merely been focusing on lostgirl as she was the last remaining, without a peridot, who was eligible in the competition. However, some people chose to be removed from the competition (like Tommy) or were DQ'd on a technicality (to clarify some discrepancies and for the fairness of those trying nonstop in both caves). Happy to try to help others still get theirs (at some point I will begin attempting for a peridot display I imagine).
Side note: after complaining yesterday, I decided to stop saving my failures (be they crystal or otherwise) and suddenly popped 2 Olympus dragons. If I somehow got lucky (thanks to those sending me lucky gems recently) and they are both gold Olympus, I will most assuredly move on to attempt the seasonal breeding (if even one is G.O. I will probably do the same).
G'luck to those hunting anything right now. May your failures be swift and lucrative!
