Jo, you are correct and incorrect. The numbers posted for air, earth, fire, and water only add up to 35. The numbers posted for metal actually add up to 55 if you include the 5 magnetic not included in the summary. (10 already +8 chrome +8 ironwood +8 mine +6 rust + 5 iron +5 brass + 5 magnetic) It is possible that what appears to be a miscalculation, might have a simple explanation. Servant asked macmertz to PM with the specific dragons she has. If she did that, and she had a bunch of dragons that weren't leveled up, servant might have taken those into consideration and just listed the remaining dragons needed. On the other hand, servant might have miscalculated since that is very easy to do.

With 4 extra metals we can drop 4 of them and combine them together. Mine and Ironwood are the longest so if we make it 6 Mine and 6 Ironwood we can make 2 Reindeer/Lichen to keep the Cold and Plant elements correct and have saved ourselves 2 Dragons.

Oh gosh April I wasn't intending to embarrass you and I'm really sorry if I did. I just didn't understand and thought I was missing something that everyone else could see! You're very good to go to the effort of working it all out, and it was a simple miscalculation. I tend to make my miscalculations with more important things....like my shopping budget . It never seems to go as far as I thought it would!

It is very easy to make simple mistakes when doing math. For that reason, when I was taking math tests in school, I would double check my work by taking a new sheet of paper, copying down the problems and completely starting over. If the two answers agreed, it was probably right. If they didn't, I'd sit there and figure out the mistake. Needless to say, I was not usually the first one done. I'm not so careful now that I don't have to worry about test grades.
I didn't even try to help because I knew I might mess it up, and because my strategy would be completely different from everyone else's. I would tell someone to get two of every dragon first, because they're going to want them anyway. If they had two of all limiteds, they would already have: Plant 46 Earth 44 Fire 44 Cold 42 Lightning 36 Water 30 Air 36 Metal 28
They can complete the shrine grind by adding: 6 panlong, 13 plasma/current, 4 ironwood/malachite, 8 mine, 1 magnetic, 1 rust, and 8 chrome.
If they were missing limiteds, I'd tell them to start with the two of everything they can get, and if bring 'em back hasn't arrived by the time they finished that, I would adjust the extra dragon numbers. So, like I said, my strategy is completely different from everyone else's.

Actually that's my planned strategy too (two of everything first) but then I plan to be naughty and upgrade with gems. I think this way takes longer and is more expensive but I really don't like exterminating my dragons.

It gave me pause to re-examine my "guidance". My embarrassment comes from jumping in at 2am (or thereabouts) and attempt to make SENSE! Lol!
Ultimately in my own shrine grind what I wound up doing (after many calculations and help from Shane!); was to just get two of each dragon and figured it would eventually all work out! This was at a time though when I already had many Panlongs and Blooms and BFS started releasing new dragons almost daily it seemed like!

I got Fire gold by just pushing through to it. I'd like to be more efficient at the rest. I have my 2nd Bearded Breeding and am missing some opposite dragons (have 2 plasma, 2 current, 2 sandstorm, 1 bluefire, 1 Ironwood)

What 3/4 element dragons do you have pairs of? These are the most efficient for leveling up as they affect more shrines.
What I did was use metal hybrids to even out the numbers of the other elements, then used panlong and bloom to bring the others up to gold. Now that bearded is here, this strategy could be improved on I am sure. It is worth considering breeding time too. So it is best to use dragons you already have as they have zero breeding time. Another thing to consider is the amount of cash you earn in a day. If you earn 60m or more, then don't even consider efficiency as food will not really be an issue time will be your limiting factor. OTOH if you only earn 10m a day, then you need to minimize the number of dragons you need to breed up. And perhaps consider breeding up some high earning epics first.

I've got pairs of every 3/4 element dragon I know about (Including Panlong and Paper). In fact I've got 4 or 5 Panlongs and at least 3 Papers. 3 Blooms too.
I'm making 55M every day and a half, I believe (maybe over 2 days). When I get there, I run Beanstalks in all my farms for an hour. Then I go back to making the 6H and 2H versions depending on how time runs. So yes, time is a limiting factor. I'm trying to get Double Rainbow Dragons to improve my earnings! For now I've got 3 Sun and 2 Moon Habitats with Dragons inside and 2 Rainbow habitats. I run a mixture of earning power vs showing/having available a wide variety of dragons.

Hi. I have reached my goal of getting two of all the pure elements, ordinary hybrids, opposites and the limiteds that have been available since I started playing to level 15. I also have two extra panlongs.
I don't have firework, paper, ghost, bone, gift, or reindeer
Any bright ideas where to proceed from here? I'm not in any hurry. The re-release of firework will add two to my fire and air shrines in the next week or so. In the meantime I'm just concentrating on growing food. My park makes about twenty-five to thirty million a day (I think).
I really don't want any more panlongs!!!
