I’m in the middle of a huge park renovation. Moving all my habitats around and redoing each and every island. Well, I’ve been using my storage tower as a moving van of sorts. You know, storing everything from one island and unstoring at its new island home. I was in process of moving all the lightening pedestals across my Vale, on auto pilot, tapping store and yes, over and over again. When I hit my limit of 75 slots, i accidentally tapped yes to upgrade my storage tower from 75 to 100 for 400 gems! 😱. I freaked out when I heard that gem sound! I had a little over 500 gems then and now I only have a hundred or so 😰.
Yesterday, Sunday, I emailed support hoping they could put my storage back to 75 slots and refund my 400 gems. Today I heard from Emma at Deca. She told me she could only revert my park back to the time before I made the mistaken upgrade. But I’m going to lose all progress I’ve made since that point. 😕
I just emailed back saying to go ahead and revert my park, but now I’m having second thought. I hatched my Frons before the goof up, but I’m going to lose all the pinecones. But then again, I’ll have my 400 gems back. What would you all have done?
I’m also bummed because I really can’t do anything in my park, since it will all be gone again anyway.
My heartfelt sympathies to you! I have unfortunately done something like this at least twice. The sickening feeling when you realize what has happened...! Both times I have just sucked it up & continued on. It takes surprisingly little time to replace those gems if you don’t speed up breeds, take advantage of the coliseum, daily sponsor gems, gems from friends, & Tolzar. It takes discipline, but it can be done.
Oh my goodness that is a bummer 😢 Tough decision, but if it’s just pinecones that you would lose (no dragons) then it might be worth it. Mishkasmom does make a good point though - you can probably get the 400 gems back in a decent amount of time. You’ll have to let us know what you decide.
This is why my top wish for DV is an edit mode. I don’t know how many times I’ve started to move things around only to realize I liked how I had it to begin with! With an “edit mode” I envision the possibility to remove everything from an island, or multiple islands, with a remove all option. The items can then be placed back from a list of items menu (possibly with a way to select which #island to move the item to, and then place the items on the island from that specific list 🤷♀️) If you like the changes you can select save changes, and if not, select discard changes. Not sure if anyone in the forum has played Clash of Clans, but that is exactly how they handle making changes to a village in the game.
At a minimum they need to find a better way to move things around for us - it’s way to hard and I don’t have near the real estate that many of you do! Just my two cents for what it’s worth.

Noooooooooooo... I would be surprised to find anyone on here who hasn't experienced that exact feeling. I just sat here for five minutes, putting waaaaay too much thought into which option I would choose if my park was as advanced as yours - and I still couldn't decide. Once it resets, maybe you will come up with some ways to tweak your last design!

I wouldn't revert back. The chance of loosing a recently bred dragon is big and the gems replenish quickly. Of course I might think of it differently if there would only remain 100 gems. I'm sitting on a cushion of 2700 gems (hello, my name is Crumble and I'm a gem hoarder) and during the events where we could get enhancements I spent about 500-600 of them. I found out that it takes only a few weeks to refill the buffer.

Thanks crumble608 I had over a 1000 before BEB and spent 400+ speed breeding missing dragons and Woven. I was trying to build it back up again Before Halloween, I’m still missing one of the effigies for the ghosties 👻 and was hoping to buy it then. I’m biting my nails, worried if Emma sees my second email or not! 😬

I really know how you feel as I did a similar thing and lost 57 billion dragoncash which I'd mistakenly turned into treats. If I'd reverted back to before my error, I'd have lost all the dragons from the last two events, so I took comfort from advice from this forum and left everything as it was. Already back up to 7 billion dragoncash, and I won't need to grow treats for a VERY long time. If a new island pops up, I can use one of my two saved wishes. I’m trying to drag a few dragons out of the dungeon to put them into newly purchased Hidden habitats. I don’t have many in the dungeon, but there a a number in the Harmonious habitats, so I’ve moved them. Now I’m trying to find which dragons I can move to fill the spaces in the Harmonious habitats. I never noticed that we have a correspondent rift only for every house dragon I did notice that there are similar eggs to the house dragon eggs, but that's all. So we have the house dragon itself, the rift only dragon, the ornamental dragon and now the new hidden dragon:

NOTE: the Olympus House dragons don’t necessarily carry the two House traits. But they are associated with the Houses, that’s why they’re currently in the event market for this event.

Interesting. From what do you know that those Olympus and Aura dragons are house dragons ?
Those Olympus dragons were released during Arcane Petournament which is when houses were first introduced. In that event, every 2 weeks, the theme of the event changed depending on the house. And in each them, there was a specific Olympus dragon.
For Aura, it was during last year's Valentine's Day event. In the description of each of the Aura dragon, it's indicated their color guard which is an element. In that event, parks were in grayscale and players worked to restore elements. 5 of them were restored and the game moved into a "race style" where each house contributed towards the restoration of the corresponding element of that house.

Oh sorry, crumble608, didn’t see you asked about the Aura dragons too. For some reason I thought you wanted to know why those dragons are associated with those Houses, like why Herald for Blazing Gale, since the House elements aren’t part of the dragons. There use to be a page on wiki, I believe, about House dragons and their lore. It was a great reference point and helped to explain the relation of dragons to certain Houses and why BFS set it up that way. But the page may have been dropped.
Whenever there’s a House event, like the current one, the new event dragons are House dragons. The Aura dragons have the colouring of the House so it’s easier to recognise.
