I thought we'll settle with another break... Is this really the norm of DragonVale now? All my old friends from the wiki and Game Center quit the game because of the back to back events.
I miss when we have Mini-Events for one week after each major event... At this point, I'm never getting that Rifty Dittoglide...
Pretty much the norm for DECA. Good news for you is Dittoglide is not limited so you can breed year round for it.
So there should, hopefully, be a break after the next event. This pattern isn’t strict, events may deviate, but it gives a general idea of what to expect.
Also, if BEB or the Expansion Extravaganza run during the break, Deca still considers this to be a break, because it’s a break from the standard event. So there will likely never be a week of no event, no mini-event, and no new content.
I know this event schedule is not ideal for most forum members. Personally, I thought it’d be better if there were 3-4 days between each event. But I guess many players didn’t feel the same way. I’m very concerned the frequency of events will cause players to burnout, as some have already left. Since it doesn’t look like DV is going to slow down anytime soon, if you ever feel like it’s too much, take a day off, or a week, or an entire event. Sometimes that can make all the difference.

Thank you for this info. I wonder how many of these players who prefer to have back to back events are long time players like myself or are fairly new to the game.

that wasn’t the results reflected. Most players wanted longer breaks between events. Not back-to-back and THEN a break... GREEDY!

You got to be kidding. I’ve looked back at the event history thread and it’s the exact same as last year. What’s the point of the poll...

No, unfortunately, this was the result from the poll. There was a high percentage of players who didn’t want breaks from one question, and a high percentage who wanted a week-long break from another question.
I don’t really understand how these two opposing views both received a large number of votes, but that was the result.

The purpose of the poll was to see what players wanted. Just because the results were similar to what had been done, that doesn’t mean the poll was pointless.

The only problem with taking a break IS the constant events. Missing an event will set players behind on collecting dragons. Nonstop events makes it near impossible to get missing dragons and/or pedestals. At least with the Runic caves we had more opportunities to try for both event AND missing dragons.

But not if there's never a break from having to breed for limited event dragons!

I know it is not much but the first week of the event when a limited is not available yet is a good time to catch up on a few missing rift dragons and/or pedestals. Also if you breed a limited rifted early in the week use the remaining time until the next one. It is not ideal and we need more time, but this is the new norm for Dragonvale.
Regarding the event break poll: I do not think the questions were based to give us many choices. It was basically do you want events or not and also 7 days was the most you could choose for a break. DECA set this up this way on purpose. 😉 They had already decided they did not want to do breaks. Adding in any new content or new dragons should not be considered a break because you can not breed for older things if you have to breed for new ones.
Just as an FYI, I didn’t have the countdown timer or new splash screens until I updated. Looks like you need the update to get the new event if you have not updated yet.

My current problem is that I've lost my Storage Tower. When my old iPad began to slow down I stowed away a few animated items and then more when my phone made the game crash repeatedly. Now with my new iPad I'd like to retrieve those items. I can put things in there, but it doesn't show me where they go, so I still can't see what I have stowed away.
Is there any way I can locate it? I know what it looks like - quite tall and distinctive - but I've searched every single island and I'm totally flummoxed.

Do you have the Prismatic Pantheon? Turn all the colour off and only turn on Miscellaneous and/or Basic, the Storage Tower may be in colour.
Or ask a friend if they will have a look in your park and see if they can find it.

That's a good idea. I'll see if that does the trick. Having spent so long searching about 30 islands (or whatever the maximum number is) I feel it's unfair for me to expect anyone else to do the same.
